Chapter 738 Dashiell Knows Seraphina Has Been Kidnapped
The girl named Clio glanced at Seraphina, then lowered her head and started eating with Sebastian.
Clio and Sebastian ate very slowly together.
It was as if Seraphina didn't exist.
Seraphina gritted her teeth and glared at them, scrutinizing Clio.
She had always thought that Sebastian wouldn't have anyone else around him besides her. He didn't even have friends at the company, so she always felt that Sebastian was very lonely.
Who exactly was this Clio who suddenly appeared?
Clearly, she had a good relationship with Sebastian.
Before long, Clio and Sebastian finished their breakfast.
Sebastian wiped the corner of his mouth, "Are you sure you don't want to eat?"
Seraphina's eyes flickered, showing her determination.
"Throw away the leftovers," Sebastian said to Clio.
Clio nodded.
She quickly cleaned up and then got up to go to the small, shabby kitchen.
Sebastian, now full, leaned back in his chair, looking at Seraphina with indifferent eyes, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Seraphina remained silent.
"Seraphina, when do you think Atticus will call me on his own?" Sebastian asked.
"My dad won't call you on his own," Seraphina said angrily. "My relationship with him is average; he won't die for me."
"I know very well how Atticus feels about you," Sebastian said. "Seraphina, your biggest mistake is that you never cherish those who are good to you."
Seraphina glared coldly at Sebastian.
"You'll only regret it when you truly lose them, just like you did with Dashiell."
"Have you said enough?"
"Actually, I don't want to say these things either. After all, I still can't accept your feelings for Dashiell," Sebastian said with a bit of self-mockery.
Seraphina didn't want to hear another word from Sebastian.
If she could.
She wanted to die with him right now.
"Seraphina, wouldn't it be great if you didn't like Dashiell?" Sebastian said, murmuring.
His tone was clearly filled with regret, but his eyes were cruelly sinister.
"Madman!" Seraphina cursed at Sebastian, "You're a madman!"
Sebastian laughed.
He wasn't mad.
He had always been trapped by emotions.
Now that he had completely broken free from them, he could return to his true self.
"Sebastian." Clio walked out of the kitchen, softly calling his name.
Sebastian's eyes shifted slightly.
His demeanor was completely different when facing Seraphina compared to Clio.
Seraphina's eyes narrowed.
What exactly was the relationship between Sebastian and Clio?
"You didn't sleep all night, and your head is injured," Clio said gently. "You should rest for a while."
Sebastian moved his body.
With that reminder, he did feel a bit tired.
His head also hurt from the injury, making his whole head feel heavy.
He glanced at Seraphina.
"Are you going to sleep?" he asked.
"No!" Seraphina said fiercely.
Sebastian sneered.
From his face, she could no longer see any affection for her.
Complete disappointment must feel like this.
He got up and walked directly into a nearby bedroom.
In the living room, only the bound Seraphina and the unfamiliar woman Clio remained.
Seraphina couldn't hold back her curiosity and asked, "What is your relationship with Sebastian?"
Clio ignored Seraphina.
"Your name is Clio?"
Clio still didn't speak.
"Do you like Sebastian?"
Clio's eyes lifted slightly, but still didn't answer.
"Do you know that what Sebastian is doing now is illegal?" Seraphina continued.
Clio remained silent.
Seraphina was helpless.
It was clear that Sebastian had instructed Clio on something.
No matter what she asked, Clio acted as if she hadn't heard.
Seraphina didn't want to waste her breath anymore.
She turned her head to observe everything around her again.
This unfamiliar place, where exactly was it?
Would Atticus commit suicide?
She could hardly imagine. If Atticus really agreed, she would regret it for the rest of her life!
Even if she wouldn't survive either!
The Everhart Mansion.
Atticus took some blood pressure medication to barely calm himself down.
The name Simon was already very vague in his memory.
Back then, he did promise Simon funding, but due to some business competition, he ultimately gave up. When he was young, he was single-mindedly focused on achieving greater success, blinded by profit, and indeed broke his promise to Simon. But he never thought it would drive Simon to suicide. At the time, he thought that after acquiring VisionView's shares, he would rehire Simon as the CEO of VisionView, with Simon still in charge and him holding the shares.
He never guessed that Simon's pride was so strong that he chose to jump to his death.
When Simon died, he did feel guilty for a while, but after experiencing so much business competition and seeing so much cruelty, he eventually forgot. He never thought that Sebastian was Simon's son and that he would come back for revenge!
Now, Seraphina was involved.
Thinking about Seraphina being kidnapped by Sebastian made Atticus feel extremely uncomfortable.
Seraphina, though rebellious and careless, had been pampered since childhood and had never been harmed. But now, she was being treated like this by Sebastian!
His face was extremely grim as he tried to calm himself down.
At this moment, he should be thinking about how to save Seraphina.
Just now, Sebastian asked him to transfer all the shares of Everhart Bank to Seraphina and then entrust Sebastian to manage them. If that really happened, Everhart Bank would fall entirely into Sebastian's hands!
Everhart Bank was founded by the Everhart family, and giving it to Sebastian was something Atticus found hard to accept.
But compared to Seraphina's life, everything else seemed insignificant.
Atticus thought about this and decided to call his lawyer.
As he picked up the phone, he ended up calling Dashiell.
At this moment, he needed someone to discuss this with.
He didn't dare call the police, fearing it would really get Seraphina killed.
Only Dashiell, he could trust him completely.
When Dashiell received Atticus's call, he had just lain down in bed not long ago.
After the elevator accident, he went to the hospital to treat his wounds.
Many of his wounds had reopened, so he had to get stitches again, which took quite a while.
When he left the hospital, he found several missed calls from Seraphina on his phone.
He ultimately didn't call back.
He never wanted to have too many expectations for Seraphina.
Seeing Atticus's call at this early hour made Dashiell a bit nervous for a second.
So early in the morning, could something have happened?
He answered, "Mr. Everhart."
"Dashiell, Seraphina has been kidnapped by Sebastian," Atticus's urgent voice was clearly filled with extreme anxiety.
