Chapter 218 Every Person With The Right Mind Would Leave You
"Don't you believe me?" Austin was stung by her demeanor.
"Does it matter if I believe you?" Daisy deliberately stalled for time with him, knowing that only Daphne could resolve this matter. "You indeed forced me to abort the child, aren't you?"
Austin fell silent.
Indeed, it was his fault.
However, he still wanted to explain, "It was Kaitlyn who told me that your body was not suitable for pregnancy. That's why I resorted to this."
"A single word from others can decide the life or death of my child." Daisy always got straight to the point. "Don't you find it ridiculous?"
Austin said, "Daisy."
Daisy said, "I won't go back with you. You can leave."
"You know my temperament." Seeing that persuasion was futile, Austin considered taking coercive action. "You should know what the consequences will be if you push me too far."
Suddenly, Daisy became calm. She smiled lightly, and her gaze met his. "You're still the same. Why should I go back with you?"
Austin was speechless.
"Am I supposed to come back with you just to let you hurt me?" Daisy interrogated him with clarity. "Should I always wait for your warnings every time we disagree, reminding me not to push you too hard, or else I'll pay the price for it? Austin, I'm not ill. I refuse to succumb to your pathological possessiveness."
"Are you determined to stay here?" Austin's emotions were getting out of control.
"Yes." Daisy's response was resolute.
Austin clenched his hands tightly at his sides.
The chill in his eyes intensified as he ordered the guards he brought along, "Take her away!"
"Yes, sir." The guards lined up neatly and rushed into the villa without further hesitation.
"Ms. Lysandros, you go in first. We'll take care of this." Daphne's guard quickly made the decision. "Remember to lock all the doors."
After ensuring the safety instructions, Daisy went inside.
She knew that staying would only cause chaos.
Austin wanted to follow inside but was stopped by the guards.
There weren't many guards with Daisy, only three in total, and one of them had gone out early to buy groceries.
The guards from both sides started fighting. Although Daphne's guards were skilled, Austin had brought seven or eight people, giving them a numerical advantage. After restraining Daphne's guards, Austin attempted to kick the door.
But after a long ten minutes, Austin couldn't even open the first door.
His eyes were filled with raging anger, and he was becoming increasingly irritable.
'What kind of door is this? Why is it so difficult to open? Is it with such good quality?' he thought.
Seeing that Austin couldn't open the door, the guards stopped fighting and stood aside, making sarcastic remarks. "Mr. Hill, there's no need to waste your efforts. Ms. Murphy said that this door is of the highest quality. It can't be opened without a key or password."
To be honest, the guards had been skeptical before.
Now, watching them kick, hit, and try to pick the lock without success, they grew to adore Daphne even more.
"You're not afraid I'll call the police?" Austin was sweating, but the door remained unmoved.
The two guards exchanged a glance. "Please go ahead."
Previously, they might have been worried about the police complicating matters if called.
But now, after Austin and his men forcibly entered the residence, even if the police were called, they would be in the wrong. Most importantly, Daphne should be arriving soon.
Once Daphne arrived, the situation would stabilize.
Austin felt like his lungs were about to explode.
He thought, 'Charles's ex-wife, Daphne, would only cause me trouble!'
"Daisy, do you think you can solve the problem by hiding?" Austin knew Daisy could hear him, so he said directly, "Don't forget we're still married. Legally, you're still my wife."
"Ms. Murphy said she'll help Ms. Lysandros file for divorce in a month," the guard added another comment.
Austin's eyes were sharp.
He thought, 'Why is this guard so talkative, lacking in self-awareness?'
"Daphne, as the president of the Murphy Group, can she interfere in my affairs at will?" Austin was becoming impatient.
The guard replied, "It's about promoting good and punishing evil."
Austin angrily said, "Are you trying to get fired!"
The guard said, "Mr. Hill, I'm a guard of the Murphy family, not the Hill family."
Austin was furious.
There was no one decent among Daphne and her people.
"Austin, leave." Daisy opened the window upstairs, her words filled with detachment. "In a while, I'll go back to Ivrea City to divorce you."
Upon hearing this, Austin felt like another knife had been thrust into his chest and ruthlessly pulled out.
He thought, 'Divorce...Am I just going to let her not want to live with me anymore?'
"If you don't want me to tell your parents about this, feel free to divorce me." Austin's eyes turned sullen, resorting to the most despicable means in the end.
Daisy's parents were typical greedy individuals, and he had always known that.
But he didn't care; he had plenty of money. As long as they didn't come to disturb him and Daisy, he could send them a large sum of money every month.
If they found out Daisy wanted to divorce him, they would definitely cause a scene.
Once things escalated, Daisy's career would be ruined, and she would no longer have a peaceful life.
The only comfort she could have been to return to his side.
Daisy's expression suddenly turned pale!
Austin had touched upon her most sensitive point, saying, "Daisy, you're a smart person. You should know what the best choice is. Stay with me, and I can shield you from your parents."
Austin looked at her pale face, feeling extremely uncomfortable, but this was the only way he had now. "You can pursue your acting career, and I'll give you everything you want."
Daisy gradually clenched her hands at her sides.
Before she married Austin, she used to send her parents money every month, and they wouldn't cause trouble once she did.
But after marrying Austin, he fueled their greedy desires even more.
"I promise I'll treat you well, I won't let you down, and I won't doubt you because of others' words." Austin made a promise.
Listening to his words, Daisy tugged at the corner of her mouth and suddenly smiled, but it was a poignant smile.
At that moment, the ache in her chest was overwhelming.
She felt oppressed, powerless, and needy. In Austin's eyes, she was someone he could manipulate at any time. When he was happy or guilty, he would pamper her. When he was unhappy or suspicious, he would resort to emotional abuse and threats.
Seeing her like this, Austin's heart inexplicably panicked, and he felt extremely sad.
"I won't go back with you." Daisy's heart had never been so persistent. "And I won't be with you again."
"Have you made up your mind?" Austin's heart sank bit by bit, his unease becoming more apparent.
"There's nothing to think about." A calm and pleasant voice suddenly sounded. Daphne, dressed in professional attire, walked over with the car keys. "Any normal person would choose to stay away from you."
