Chapter 574 Considerate

"Elara's drunk; can you keep an eye on her for me?" Autumn asked Jesse at the door, acting like she was in a rush. "I’ve got something to handle at home."

"Sure," Jesse replied, not suspecting a thing.

After thanking him, Autumn left. She didn’t go far, though; she booked a room downstairs, and the three guys got their own rooms too.

Even though Elara trusted Jesse, Autumn was still a bit worried about her.

They stayed close by so they could be there for Elara if she needed them.

When Jesse walked into the room, he saw Elara sitting on the floor, leaning against the table, playing with her glass. He walked over, adjusted the blazer draped on her, and took the unfinished drink from her hand.

"What are you doing?" Elara asked, pretending to be drunk.

Jesse helped her up from the floor. "I'm taking you home."

"No," Elara pushed him away, stumbling a bit.

Seeing that she could barely stand, Jesse frowned slightly.

Elara kept up her act.

After about five minutes of back-and-forth, Elara finally got to the point and started seducing him.

With just a few casual moves, Elara successfully pinned Jesse down on the bed and said in a slurred yet coquettish voice, "Jesse, I want to kiss you."

"No," Jesse refused.

Jesse tried to push her away, but he couldn’t find the right spot, so he ended up being pinned down by her.

Elara kept seducing him, her face becoming more alluring and charming.

In this state, she was undeniably attractive.

Jesse was somewhat tempted by her, but he forcefully suppressed his desire. He knew very well that no matter how Elara tried to seduce him, he shouldn't do anything to her.

Elara was getting tired of seducing him and noticed Jesse's physical response.

But Jesse's face remained calm and cold.

"Jesse," Elara continued to seduce him, though she was already feeling sleepy. "Are you impotent?"

Jesse nodded. "Yes."

Elara lost all interest.

She didn't know whether to be angry or feel warm and cherished.

She was actively seducing him, and he remained calm and unmoved. On the other hand, he had desire but could still calmly and rationally refuse her.

From the latter perspective, Jesse was a decent person.

"I'll take you home," Jesse said, pressing her shoulder as she slightly got up and taking the opportunity to sit up, "Don't casually invite people over or drink with men you don't know well in the future. Got it?"

"No," Elara lay there.

Jesse didn't realize she was pretending to be drunk and thought she was genuinely drunk.

He got up, grabbed her phone and bag, made sure she hadn't left anything behind, and then carried her out of the hotel.

Elara felt happy at that moment and became even more determined to marry Jesse.

After all, she wouldn't find anyone as good as Jesse.

Just like now, even when she was "drunk", Jesse thoughtfully put his blazer on her to keep her warm when they left the room.

Jesse carried her to the parking lot, placed her in the seat, adjusted it to a comfortable position, and set the car's temperature to a warm and comfortable temperature before starting the car.

Initially, he planned to take her home, but when he saw that her house was dark, he turned around and took her to his place.

Elara had no clue where Jesse was taking her and didn't dare open her eyes to peek, worried she'd get caught faking being drunk.

Around eleven at night, Jesse carried her into his place.

When Elara heard the door open, she guessed it was Jesse's house since her door didn't make that sound.

"Elara," Jesse called softly.

Elara kept up her drunk act and didn't respond.

Seeing no reaction, Jesse carried her to the bed, took off her shoes, and started removing her makeup.

When she realized he was removing her makeup, Elara's mind wandered a bit.

Jesse was actually removing her makeup?

His thoughtfulness surpassed even those men who had dated several girlfriends.

After cleaning her face, Jesse even applied moisturizer, providing comprehensive and attentive care.

Elara initially pretended to be drunk, but she eventually fell asleep because she was too sleepy.

The next morning, Elara's phone rang around seven.

The urgent ringtone pulled her out of her sleep. Seeing it was Willie calling, she felt annoyed. "Why are you calling so early in the morning?"

"Did you forget about the fake marriage?" Willie reminded her and asked, "Are you at home or at your own place?"

Her own place was the house Elara had lied to Jesse about, saying it was where she and Willie would live in after getting married.

Elara paused for a moment, then quickly woke up and sat up.

"Hello," Willie called out when he didn't hear a response.

Elara looked around the bedroom, pursed her lips, and replied, "I'm at Jesse's place."

Willie was very confused.

"Where?" Willie asked, afraid he had misheard.

"I had a bit to drink last night, and Jesse brought me back," Elara explained, rubbing her hair and recalling the events of the previous night, "Wait for me at the marriage registration office; I'll be there soon."

"Okay," Willie agreed.

After hanging up, Elara got out of bed.

Seeing she was still wearing the same outfit from yesterday, Elara frowned.

She didn't like sexy outfits much, and Willie would probably have something to say about it.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Jesse had heard Elara talking on the phone and knew she was awake.

"Come in," Elara spoke, her hair a bit messy, giving her a cute and innocent look.

"Here are some clothes I prepared for you. See if you like them," Jesse said, bringing in two bags and handing them to her, "And these are shoes."

Elara was momentarily stunned.

Even though she knew Jesse was considerate and a great partner, she couldn't help but feel touched by his actions at that moment.

"If you don't like them, I can have someone bring more options," Jesse added when he saw she hadn't responded.

Elara suppressed her emotions and took the bags. "No need, thank you."

"I didn't buy you any makeup," Jesse continued, his hands at his sides a bit tense, worried she might be upset that he brought her back without asking. "I didn't know how to choose cosmetics."

"You don't need to buy that for me," Elara responded. She rarely wore makeup, usually just applying some skincare products and lipstick. "I'm just registering the marriage; no need for makeup."
