Chapter 741 He is Learning to Love You

Lon glanced up at Diana, who was eating with her head down. Just before she looked up at him, he lowered his gaze again.

They both concentrated on the food, occasionally chatting a bit.

Half an hour later, they paid the bill and left.

There were still more than three hours before the flight, and Diana stayed with him for a while.

At first, they talked about random things, then Lon asked her a question, "What do you think my future wife will be like?"

"She will just be in the way you want her to be," Diana replied frankly.

Lon smiled and didn't say anything more.

After meeting someone as gorgeous as Diana, it was hard for him to find someone else who could move his heart.

Diana was special, always full of energy, with a happy smile every day, healing everyone around her.

"Lon," Diana called out.

"Yes?" Lon titled his head slightly, a bit confused.

"In the future, we will all be happy," Diana told him indirectly. "You, Louis, and Noe, all of us."

"That's true," Lon responded with a smile and then glanced at his watch and, seeing that it was almost time, didn't linger. "I need to go check in and board. Take care of yourself here."

"Okay," Diana agreed.

Lon's gaze fell on her, his deep eyes filled with a heavy complexity.

Diana looked back at him.

Before she could speak, she suddenly found herself in a warm, pleasant-smelling hug.

Lon wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin on her shoulder, his deep, slightly hoarse voice slowly sounding in her ear, "Call me if you need anything, I'm always there."

"Okay." Diana hugged him back. "Take care of yourself."

Lon tightened his embrace a bit.

After a while, he suppressed his emotions and said, "I'm leaving."

With that, he let go of her, grabbed his suitcase, and left.

Diana watched his retreating figure, silently wishing him the best.

She didn't know what it felt like to be seriously rejected by she liked, nor did she know how sad and complicated Lon felt leaving, but she knew his heart must be in extreme pain.

After all, his hug was so repressed and complex.

She didn't leave immediately, staying there until she saw his flight take off. In her heart, she silently said, 'Lon, I wish you all the best.'

After the plane took off, she left the airport.

On her way to find Caspian, Diana sent a message to Louis: [Lon has left.]

Louis didn't reply; he was dealing with a tricky issue at the moment. Something he had never encountered in his life.

Diana didn't wait for his reply, switching to chat with Chloe and the others in their small group.

They didn't chat much before she arrived at the hotel.

As soon as she arrived, the hotel manager approached her and politely asked, "Ms. Reynolds, are you here to see Mr. Lancelot and Mr. Garcia?"

"Yes." Diana nodded.

"They've already left," the hotel manager informed her.

Diana was full of questions. "What?"

The hotel manager confirmed, " They checked out and left two hours ago. Mr. Lancelot asked me to tell you they went back and not to worry."

"Thank you," Diana said quickly and left.

Of course, she was worried. She had just seen Lon, and then Caspian left.

He probably thought he wasn't as important to her as Lon, which was why he left in anger.

She told the driver to go to the airport and called Caspian. Fortunately, the airport they were going to wasn't as far as Lon's, otherwise, she wouldn't know if she could make it in time.

When the call went through, she heard the ringing tone, which made her breath a sigh of relief. Luckily, he hadn't boarded yet.

After three rings, Caspian answered. Before he could speak, Diana immediately said, "I'm on my way to the airport now. Wait for me, I'll go with you."

"No need," Caspian refused.

"I'm really on my way." Diana checked the time, a bit worried she wouldn't make it.

Caspian's voice was very pleasant and calm, "We will board in ten minutes. You go back and rest well. I'll come to see you when I have time."

"I promise I won't leave you alone in the hotel next time," Diana immediately addressed the issue, trying to soothe his emotions. "Wait for me, okay?"

Caspian comforted her, "I'm not mad at you."

Diana didn't believe it. "Then why did you leave without saying anything?"

"I was afraid that if I said goodbye to you, I wouldn't want to leave." Caspian had been changing himself for Diana.

He knew Diana was a free and happy bird. She was willing to be a caged bird for him, but he couldn't bear to see her like that.

She should be even happier after becoming his girlfriend.

Diana frowned slightly, a bit confused. "What do you mean?"

"Gedser is your home, your friends and family are there," Caspian said willingly. He had changed a lot for Diana during this time. "We'll have a long-distance relationship for a while. I'll come to see you when I'm free."

"I want to go with you..." Diana tried to change Caspian's mind.

Before she could finish, Caspian's pleasant voice, tinged with a bit of gentleness, sounded, "Be good."

Diana paused, suddenly not knowing how to respond.

Staying in Ivrea City for Caspian was her choice. She didn't feel wronged or unhappy, but when Caspian said these words, her heart still felt warm. Was this what mutual care and love felt like?

"I'm about to board," Caspian's clear voice carried a touch of gentleness. After coming to Gedser, he understood a lot. "Stay in Gedser for now. I'll come to see you when I'm done."

Diana remained silent. She didn't know if Caspian meant it or if he was forcing himself to say it.

Caspian seemed to know what she was thinking. Before hanging up, he added, "I'm serious. If you don't believe me, you can ask Charles."

"Are you sure you don't want to wait for me?" Diana asked.

Caspian only said, "Next time."

After a moment of silence, they both hung up, each with their own thoughts.

Diana thought it over, knowing that Charles wouldn't lie to her about this kind of thing, she sent a message to Charles: [How is Caspian's mood? Is there anything wrong?]

Charles's reply was emotionless: [He's fine, don't worry.]

Diana was very worried: [Really?]

Charles replied: [He's learning to love you.]

This sentence struck her, bringing a wave of warmth.
