Chapter 261 Spread the News

She thought for a moment and came up with an idea, but wasn't sure if it would work.

She stood up, but before she could take a step, Michael's eyes were on her. "Ms. Murphy, where are you going?"

"To the restroom," Daphne replied.

Michael turned to Nina. "Go with her."

"Is that really necessary?" Nina asked, sipping her juice. "She can't escape from the ship."

"She can't escape, but it's easy to hide on a ship like this," Michael said, not liking surprises. He glanced at Daphne. "Besides, Ms. Murphy isn't familiar with the ship. What if she gets lost?"

Nina put down her juice and escorted Daphne to the restroom.

On the way, Nina kept chatting, showing a lot of concern. "What do you want to eat later? I'll tell the chef."

"I'm not picky," Daphne said.

"You remind me of my teacher," Nina said.

Daphne glanced at her and, to avoid suspicion, asked, "Are you being so nice to me because I remind you of your teacher?"

"Of course not," Nina retorted. "I just think if you knew her, you two would definitely become friends. You're both quiet and not picky eaters."

"You're overthinking it," Daphne replied indifferently.

When they reached the restroom, Daphne went through the motions. When she came out, she looked like she had something to say but hesitated.

Nina noticed and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I want to take a shower," Daphne blurted out. "I didn't shower last night and feel uncomfortable."

"Go ahead," Nina said without hesitation. She wasn't as cautious as Michael. "I'll take you."

Daphne followed her.

At that moment, Daphne thought that sometimes having a student who had sided with the enemy could be useful. She could occasionally use her to achieve her goals.

Nina took Daphne to her room, explained a few things, and then locked the door before returning to Michael.

Once inside, Daphne scanned the room to ensure there were no cameras. Then she put on gloves and opened Nina's computer.

She knew it wasn't right to touch someone else's things without permission, but given the situation, she couldn't afford to consider that.

The moment she turned on the computer, Nina received a boot notification.

Daphne noticed this, too, but she didn't panic.

Her fingers flew across the keyboard. In no time, she sent the information about Butterfly Island to Emma and the others, including Benjamin.

As for Charles, she initially wanted to send some information but realized that no matter what she said, Charles would act based on his considerations. In the end, she only sent him a message: [Don't worry; I'm safe.]

After sending the necessary messages, she quickly accessed Kevin's computer. She then planted a virus in Nina's computer.

Just as she did this, a dialog box appeared on the screen: [Is that you?]

Kevin was excited but didn't dare to call out Daphne's name.

What if it wasn't Daphne? Wouldn't he be exposing her identity?

Daphne knew she didn't have much time and that Nina would come to check after seeing the boot notification.

She quickly messaged Kevin: [It's me. In a moment, open the thing I set up on your computer and press the Enter key every ten minutes. I just planted a virus in Nina's computer. When you press Enter, the virus will upgrade.]

Kevin was reliable: [No problem.]

Daphne closed the dialog box, restored everything, and shut down the computer.

After ensuring she wouldn't leave any fingerprints, she went to the bathroom, turned on the water, and started undressing to take a shower.

When Nina came in, the first thing she did was check her computer. Seeing it was off, she frowned slightly.

What was going on? How could her computer show a boot notification if it was off?

She wanted to suspect Daphne, but if Daphne had turned it on and then off, there would also be a shutdown notification.

Unable to figure it out, she turned on the computer. She was shocked by what she saw on the screen!

What was going on?!

She didn't care about anything else and pulled up a chair to start cracking the virus.

Just as she was about to succeed, it reappeared.

Initially, she suspected Daphne, thinking that if she were really K, she could turn off the computer without leaving a shutdown notification.

However, after the virus upgraded, she had no doubts.

Wait, something wasn't right!

Nina's hands paused on the keyboard.

What if Daphne was pretending to take a shower and was actually doing something in there?

Thinking this was possible, she didn't care about the virus anymore.

After all, it was just a virus that would damage her computer and reveal her location.

She didn't need to worry about it.

She tiptoed to the bathroom door, listened to the sound of running water, gritted her teeth, and suddenly opened the door, barging in!

The moment Daphne heard the noise, she quickly grabbed a towel to cover herself, looking at her warily.

She had thought Nina was eavesdropping at the door to see if she was really showering, but she never expected her to come in directly.

"What are you doing?" she asked, frowning.

"Nothing." Nina's face turned red. "I just wanted to see if there were any bad guys in here."

Daphne was speechless. "Get out."

"We're both women; don't be shy," Nina said, her face turning even redder as she saw Daphne's smooth skin, "I'll leave now; take your time."

She closed the door, feeling extremely embarrassed.

What was going on?

Why did she suspect Daphne was pretending to shower?

Daphne must think she's a pervert!

Her teacher had said that if you see someone's body, you have to take responsibility. However, she was also a woman. How could she take responsibility? What should she do?

The virus her teacher sent her had really caused her a lot of trouble.

Daphne had no idea her student was imagining so much outside.

She was still a bit unsettled, so she quickly finished her shower. Before she could leave, Nina was already outside with a bag, saying she had brought some clothes for her.

Daphne didn't refuse, changing into them while her clothes dried.

After the shower, Daphne put the micro locator Benjamin gave her in the safest place on her body, then placed the custom tag and another device in place.

Once everything was ready, she walked out.

As soon as she stepped out, she saw Nina looking back at her with a silly expression.

"Daphne, wait for me," Nina said first, "Once I finish this, I'll give you an explanation."
