Chapter 758 Being Faithful to Marriage is a Matter of Course

Louis noticed her gaze and asked in that still calm tone, "What's wrong?"

"We're just partners," Lyra reminded him once again, not wanting too many conflicts of interest with Louis. "You don't have to do so much for me. After we get married, we won't have a sexual relationship after marriage, nor will we have children."

She was a calm and rational person.

Growing up, she indeed had no sexual attraction to either men or women, no thoughts in that regard, and had never been infatuated with anyone.

But now, she was a bit worried.

Louis was good-looking, gentlemanly, polite, respectful, had a good family background, and treated her exceptionally well.

Facing such an excellent person, she was afraid of developing feelings over time.

"You already said that," Louis replied indifferently.

Lyra's calm gaze fell on him, as if asking if he didn't understand her implied meaning.

While she was thinking about this, Louis, driving, responded, "We've already made it clear in the agreement what can and cannot be done after marriage. Besides those things, there's no need to worry too much."

"Do you have a crush on me?" Lyra's imagination ran wild, but her expression remained calm.

Louis glanced at her, then continued driving, "I don't believe in the concept of a crush."

If he truly liked someone, he would pursue them directly.

Either they would be together, or he would cut off the feelings before they became too deep.

"Then why are you so good to me?"

"You're my fiancée."

"Is a fiancée without feelings worth it?"

"You're worth it," Louis said directly.

With his response, Lyra roughly understood his thoughts.

As if thinking of something, Louis asked her, "Do you want to have a wedding?"

"No need," Lyra refused.

A wedding was for two people in love to walk into the hall of happiness together. For them, who were in a cooperative relationship, there was no need to complicate things.

Besides, she wasn't interested in it.

"The news that I have a fiancée will spread in the circle soon," Louis thought about it and sought her opinion, "Do you want to make it public or not?"

"Not public," Lyra just wanted to quietly do her research.

Louis didn't insist and fully respected her decision, "Alright."

After three in the afternoon.

Louis and Lyra returned home.

As soon as they entered, they saw Diana packing things. Louis paused, confused by her actions, "What are you doing?"

"Packing," Diana had already filled two suitcases and was still packing small items, "You two just got together, and you need some alone time. As an understanding and cute sister, I'm quite considerate, huh?"

Although Louis and Lyra were in a cooperative marriage.

But, two people with good personalities, similar interests, and good looks staying together for a long time would definitely develop feelings.

If she stayed, that atmosphere would be ruined.

"No need," Louis stopped her.

Diana immediately gave him a look. "Are you stupid?"

Louis was puzzled, not understanding her meaning.

Diana had to convey another message. "Alone time, understand?"

"Our marital home isn't here," Louis explained simply, telling the truth, "This place is for us to stay when we're bored or having gatherings in the future."

Diana looked at him twice, "Really no need?"

"No need," Louis repeated, and added, "In the future, when Caspian comes over, you can bring him here too."

"Then I won't move," Diana was a bit reluctant to leave her room upstairs.

Besides the place where their mother used to stay.

This was where she stayed the most.

Growing up, she almost always stayed here with Louis, and the room was naturally arranged to her liking.

For the first time, Louis felt his sister was a bit silly. He went over, picked up her two suitcases, and took them upstairs, placing them in her room.

Diana watched him go up.

After he finished, she chatted with Lyra with some gossip, "Are you really planning to be with him?"

"Yes," Lyra nodded.

"Louis is quite cold and might not be very romantic," Diana unhesitatingly exposed Louis, wanting Lyra to know what kind of person he was, "If you stay with him, be prepared to be annoyed by him."

"It's okay," Lyra's gaze fell on the person coming downstairs, still in a calm tone, "Although he seems a bit cold on the surface, he's very warm-hearted."

Diana's eyes were full of surprise, "Warm-hearted?"

"Yes," Lyra's words were quite certain.

Seeing she wasn't joking, Diana looked back at her brother.

Although he was a good brother who would directly help her with many things, it didn't seem to have much to do with being warm-hearted.

"You must be tricked," Diana imagined a big drama, unable to picture her brother being warm-hearted, "Can I ask why you think he's warm-hearted?"

Lyra looked at her.

Diana quickly added, "If it's inconvenient, you don't have to say, no pressure."

Lyra liked her lively and cute nature.

After organizing her thoughts, she told her what happened today.

Including the matter of Louis giving her property.

"Just that?" Diana didn't have much reaction after hearing it.

Lyra thought for a moment, making sure she didn't miss any details, then nodded, "Yes."

"That's just him fulfilling his duties and responsibilities as your fiancé," Diana's thoughts were similar to Louis's. Their warm family made them very responsible, "It doesn't have much to do with being warm-hearted."

Being faithful to marriage was a matter of course.

Was Lyra's standard for a warm-hearted man too low?

"We're family now," Diana's smile was very healing, making people feel very comfortable, "If there's anything you can't say to Louis, you can tell me. Besides Louis, I'm also your support!"

"Do you mind my marriage with your brother?" Lyra had no resistance to lively and sunny girls.

Diana asked back, "Why would I mind?"

"We're just in a cooperative relationship," Lyra liked to put things on the table, "But he gave me so much property."

"You're his fiancée, it's what he should do," Diana didn't mind at all, "Besides, although you're in a cooperative relationship, you're planning to cooperate for a lifetime, not just two days."
