Chapter 652 I Never Feel Embarrassed

Daphne was still a bit confused, she really wanted to say that it was Austin who had set this up for Daisy.

But Austin hadn't come out yet, and Daphne couldn't expose him prematurely.

Just then, Benjamin walked over from the other side. His tall frame looked even more handsome and imposing in his mid-length coat.

Benjamin stood in front of Daphne, gently took her hand, and said, "It was my fault before. Can you forgive me?"

Daphne was bewildered. What was going on?

"If you don't say anything, I'll take it as a yes," Benjamin pulled Daphne into his arms and then whispered in her ear, "Impromptu scene change. Just consider this my apology gift to you in the script."

Daphne's mind went blank, but she remained silent, afraid of messing up the plan.

At the same time, Daphne noticed a flaw. If this was truly Benjamin's apology gift, she wouldn't have just happened to walk by and encounter it.

With Daisy's intelligence, she wouldn't miss that.

Coincidentally, Daisy didn't think of it at that moment. She was too happy about Daphne and Benjamin reconciling to delve into it.

Daisy smiled at Benjamin and Daphne before moving over to the three kids, planning to give Daphne and Benjamin some alone time.

Just then, Austin appeared behind Daisy.

He held flowers in one hand and a ring in the other. Taking a deep breath, he called her name, "Daisy."

"Yes?" Daisy instinctively turned around.

Austin knelt on one knee and presented the ring, nervously asking, "Will you marry me?"

Daisy was a bit taken aback. "Didn't you go back?"

"How could I leave without proposing to you ?" Austin's palms were sweaty, fearing rejection.

"This isn't..." Daisy glanced behind her as she spoke, and Daphne and Benjamin walked over.

"This was all planned by him. We were just hired actors," Daphne explained, her eyes softening. "Everything we said before he appeared was pre-arranged."

Daisy was stunned.

Seeing Daisy's changing expression, Austin asked again, "Daisy, will you marry me?"

"I will treat you and Molly well with all my heart for the rest of my life. You two will be my everything," Austin said sincerely, expressing his true feelings. "I will love and cherish you till my last day. Will you marry me?"

"Mom! Say yes!" Molly cheered from the side.

Diana joined in. "Say yes, say yes, say yes!"

Daphne and Benjamin smiled, waiting for the decision.

Austin's eyes, full of anticipation, dimmed as Daisy remained silent. His heart ached.

"It's okay if you say no. I'll wait until you..." Austin tried to sound light-hearted.

"What are you waiting for?" Daisy extended her hand and grabbed the flowers from him. "Aren't you going to put the ring on me?"

Austin froze for a moment, then couldn't contain his joy. "Yes!"

He immediately took the ring from the box and gently placed it on Daisy's finger, finally kissing her hand with all his sincerity.

Diana cheered.

Molly laughed happily.

Austin's face was full of joy, even a bit smug, "Now you have to admit you're my wife."

"No," Daisy retorted. "We're not married yet."

"Fiancée counts," Austin said smugly.

Daisy glanced at him but said nothing.

Austin, satisfied, held Daisy's hand and said to Daphne and Benjamin, "Thanks, I'll treat you to dinner sometime."

"No problem," Benjamin replied.

"You tricked me!" Daisy finally realized and said to Daphne.

"You should blame your fiancé. He made me do it," Daphne explained, playfully bantering with her. "Besides, with your sharp mind, you should've figured it out."

"It's because you never lied to me before," Daisy said, realizing how things had gone wrong. "Anyone else, and I would've noticed."

Daphne smiled lightly.

Daisy continued, "And you never liked Austin. I didn't think you'd help him."

That was the most important reason!

"I wasn't planning to help," Daphne glanced at Austin before continuing. "But since you've accepted him, I had no reason not to help him out."

"I don't care. You hurt me, so you have to make it up to me," Daisy said, hugging Daphne's arm. "Sleep next to me tonight."

Daphne noticed Benjamin's gaze and coughed lightly. "Well..."

"We haven't slept together in a long time," Daisy said.

Just as Daphne was considering whether to agree, Benjamin spoke up.

"She has plans tonight. She's sleeping with me," Benjamin said, pulling Daphne to his side and looking down at her. "Right, Ms. Murphy?"

Daphne's ears turned slightly red, but she pretended to be calm. "Yes."

"Have a wonderful night," Benjamin said, leaving with Daphne and the kids.

In the car.

Benjamin leaned over to buckle Daphne's seatbelt, his lips intentionally brushing her cheek.

Daphne was about to push him away, but he had already buckled her in and returned to the driver's seat.

Diana watched with great interest from the back seat.

Sitting in her child safety seat, her eyes sparkled. "Dad, do you want Louis and me to get out and wait for a bit?"

"Wait for what?" Benjamin asked.

"You wanted to kiss Mom but were too shy because we were here," Diana said knowingly.

Benjamin started the car and calmly replied, "I'm never shy."

"I don't believe you," Diana said seriously. "Weren't you shy when you were courting Mom?"

"No," Benjamin said calmly.

"Liar," Diana said.

"You can ask others," Benjamin suggested.
