Chapter 679 Planning to Confess in Ivrea City

"Even different people can wear the same outfit." Eddy tried to bluff his way through, pretending to be calm. "I can't just wear an outfit once, right?"

"The clothes and necklace you're wearing are new releases from last month." Diana's gaze fell on him, directly exposing his lie. "You've only been dating your girlfriend for a month?"

Eddy's girlfriend spoke up at this moment, "Six months."

"Six months, and the new releases weren't even out yet." Diana knew Eddy liked to play around but didn't expect him to cheat. "Care to explain?"

"I was wrong." Eddy admitted defeat instantly.

"Telling me doesn't help." Diana stepped aside to give them some space. "Tell your girlfriend."

Eddy sighed silently in his heart. How did the once cute Diana become so formidable?

"I lied to you about this, I'm sorry." Eddy spoke directly, becoming particularly serious. "I can't stand you doubting me every day. No matter what I do, you think I'm lying to you."

Eddy's girlfriend started crying again, unable to speak.

Diana, seeing this, got anxious and decided to scold Eddy on her behalf. "If you didn't lie to her, would she doubt you?"

"It was a white lie," Eddy explained. "If I admitted I was out partying and drinking with others, she'd overthink it."

"A white lie? It's just a lie," Diana retorted.

Eddy wanted to explain but found himself at a loss for words, unable to perform under Diana's scrutiny.

"Anyway, it was my fault, and I'll take responsibility," Eddy said, staring at his girlfriend. "For both of us, let's break up."

Eddy's girlfriend cried even harder. "I don't want to..."

"It doesn't matter. I've already decided." Eddy steeled himself and explained, "Let's set each other free and go back to the beginning."

"Wait a minute." Diana couldn't stand it anymore.

Eddy instinctively looked at her.

"Stop crying." Diana patted Eddy's girlfriend on the shoulder and pointed out a key issue. "He's not worth your tears. There are plenty of better-looking, kinder, and wealthier guys out there. No need to be sad over this."

"He's my first love." Eddy's girlfriend cried even harder, her heart aching.

Diana started to comfort her with money. "I'll buy you a house if you stop crying."

"And a car if you break up with him," Diana added.

"Are you crazy?" Eddy looked incredulous, as if he couldn't believe Diana would go to such lengths. "Spending so much just to make her break up with me?"

"I want to." Diana said.

In the end, Eddy's girlfriend broke up with Eddy.

The feeling of being dumped and dumping someone was different. Even though he had mentioned breaking up before, hearing it again still stung Eddy. But he didn't try to hold on and quickly ended the relationship.

As for the house and car, she didn't take them. She knew Diana offered them to encourage her to move on. A few minutes later, she drove away.

Eddy sat on a bench in the garden, looking at Diana in confusion. "She has nothing to do with you. Why would you spend so much money to make her break up with me?"

"To spare her prolonged pain, and for you too." Diana sat next to him.

Diana had never been heartbroken but had seen her roommate go through it.

For the first few days, she didn't eat or drink and was in low spirits. Even after a few months, she hadn't recovered. It was only after receiving a job offer from her dream company that she gradually picked herself up, vowing to work hard and stay away from bad men.

That period was tough for all of them, let alone the person who was dumped.

Eddy looked puzzled. "For me?"

"I'll keep a tab on this for you," Diana said seriously. "If you lie to another girl again, I'll keep adding to it. When you inherit your dad's business, I'll have Louis settle the account with you."

"Why should Louis be involved?" Eddy was immediately scared.

"Find a time to sincerely apologize to her." Diana thought of the girl just now and added, "If she wants to get back together with you, don't agree unless you can love only her."

"I didn't sleep with those people," Eddy said. "Doesn't count as cheating, right?"

Diana reasoned with him, "Your actions clearly show you're intentionally pursuing other girls."

Then Diana gave him a reminder, "When you're single, you can be as flirtatious as you want, as long as it's consensual and legal. But if you have a girlfriend, you need to control your body and mind. If you can't, don't start a a relationship."

"Got it." Eddy was still very obedient to Diana.

Although Diana was a bit younger than him, she had already impressed him with her intelligence and strength during their growth.

Eddy knew Diana truly considered him a friend, which was why she said these things to him. So, he was willing to be managed by her.

"Alright, sort out your feelings yourself." Diana didn't linger, standing up and grabbing the car keys beside her. "I'm going to see my parents."

"Wait a minute," Eddy suddenly said.

Diana turned her head slightly. "What?"

"I heard you're going to Ivrea City to confess to someone you like. Is it true?" Eddy asked, his usual arrogance gone, leaving only a simple inquiry on his delicate face.

Diana admitted openly, "Yes, why?"

"Do you know that someone likes you?" Eddy hinted.

Diana was confused. "Who?"

"That someone." Eddy didn't name names.

Diana didn't want to waste time with him and replied in his style, "Do you know that someone has wanted to punch you for a long time?"

"Who?" Eddy took it seriously.

Diana said, "That someone."

"I'm talking about Lon." Eddy realized and immediately sold out Lon. "Don't tell me you didn't know."
