Chapter 721 Eddy Who Knows How to Persuade People to Drink

"Appearance?" Chloe asked, puzzled.

"Do you think I'm that shallow?" Diana retorted, then added what had impressed her about Caspian. "I mean his behavior and manners."

Chloe was curious. "Tell me more."

"This goes back to when we were kids," Diana reminisced. "He has a rather reserved personality. Even when he did nice things for me, he wouldn't say anything. He'd rather be misunderstood than explain himself."

"You like that about him?" Chloe was very confused.

"No, I just think he's a very sincere person," Diana said, following her intuition, her beautiful brows softening. "I can trust him completely."

She had met many people in her social circle, some who appeared to be gentlemen but were actually quite flirtatious behind the scenes.

There were very few like Caspian, who was both self-disciplined and sincere.

"Do you have a misunderstanding about sincerity?" Chloe looked at her, puzzled. "Liking you but not telling you, that's sincerity?"

"I mean in other matters," Diana explained. "He's very sincere in other things."

Chloe didn't know what to say, feeling that this standard was a bit too low.

"Actually, there's something I've never told you guys." Diana referred to Chloe and another friend.

Chloe looked at her. "What?"

"Maybe it's because my parents gave me a lot of freedom growing up, but I kind of hope there's someone who can manage me while respecting me," Diana said, recalling the night she pretended to be drunk. "Caspian fits that perfectly."

Chloe was at a loss for words.

She never expected Diana to have such a preference.

"Fine, if you want to be with him, then be with him," Chloe concluded, adding a condition, "But if he ever makes you unhappy, come to us, and we'll help you out."

"Don't worry," Diana replied.

Diana was 100% sure that aside from Caspian's slight lack of confidence, he wouldn't let her suffer in any other way.

Caspian, who was outside the door, heard all of this.

He hadn't meant to eavesdrop.

He just happened to come by and heard them talking about him.

For a moment, Caspian didn't know how to describe his feelings.

Being confessed to in person and being liked behind their back were two different feelings; the former was happiness, the latter was a deep sense of satisfaction.

When he heard them walking towards the door, Caspian didn't react much. As Diana and Chloe walked out, he pulled Diana into his arms.

This hug was unexpected for Diana.

Diana blinked in confusion. "What's wrong?"

"I miss you." Caspian buried his head in her neck, his husky voice filled with affection.

Diana smiled and hugged him back.

Seeing the two so affectionate, Chloe's worries about Diana lessened.

Maybe Caspian really was right for Diana.

The three of them returned to the private room. Eddy glanced at the three of them and noticed Diana and Caspian holding hands. He said, "Come on, let's continue eating."

"Caspian, let's have a few drinks." Eddy had a little plan. "I hope you and Diana last forever."

Caspian raised his glass and clinked it with his.

Eddy raised his glass again. "Another one, I hope you have kids soon."

In just a few minutes.

Eddy and Caspian had several drinks together.

Seeing Caspian's cheeks turn a bit red, Diana advised, "That's enough."

"We need to drink, Caspian needs to build up his tolerance," Eddy said seriously. "What if you need to drink a lot at your wedding?"

Caspian picked up his glass, patted Diana's hand with his other hand, and said gently, "He's right, I should practice."

"Practice for what?" Diana didn't care about this at all. "We can just switch your drinks to water on the day."

"That won't do, a wedding is too important to have any fakes." Eddy was very persuasive, determined to get Caspian drunk. "Right, Caspian?"

"Yeah." Caspian's voice was gentle and pleasant.

Diana gave Eddy a look.

"It's okay, I can drink." Caspian, slightly tipsy, raised his hand to ruffle her hair.

Such an intimate gesture left Diana momentarily stunned.

She just stared at him.

"I don't want anything fake at our wedding," Caspian said, holding the back of her head with one hand, their foreheads touching. "Trust me, okay?"

"Okay." Diana didn't argue anymore.

Letting him get drunk once was fine.

A drunk Caspian was even cuter.

So, Caspian and Eddy continued drinking.

Eventually, Eddy couldn't keep up. He sat down next to Caspian, his hand on Caspian's shoulder. "You're amazing, Caspian."

"Take your hand off," Caspian mumbled.

Eddy held on tighter. "Why?"

Caspian didn't say anything, just drunkenly pushed him away.

All he could think about was that no one but Diana could touch him.

"Stop drinking." Chloe stood up, took the glass from Eddy's hand, and said to Diana, "I'll take him back to the hotel. Can you get Caspian home?"

"No problem." Diana was strong enough.

Chloe took Eddy to one car, and Diana took Caspian to another.

After fastening his seatbelt, Diana started the car to head home. Luckily, she hadn't drunk, otherwise, she would have had to call a driver.

At first, Caspian sat quietly in the passenger seat, not moving at all. But as the car moved forward, his expression changed subtly.

Caspian turned to Diana, and said very seriously, "Do you think I'm drunk?"

"No." Diana smiled.

"Your expression tells me you think I'm drunk," Caspian mumbled childishly.

Diana drove steadily, glanced at him, and teased, "Do you think you're drunk?"

"No." A drunk Caspian was soft and gentle.

Diana chuckled softly.

It seemed Caspian was quite drunk.

Caspian looked at her with some resentment, unhappy with her reaction. "You're laughing at me."
