Chapter 751 Sleeping is Fine, But Don't Do Anything Else
The two were having a meal in the restaurant. Halfway through, Diana thought about proposing to him and deliberately asked, "Caspian."
"Yes?"
"Am I important to you?"
"Yes, you are." Caspian answered without any hesitation.
"Then if one day I have something very important to discuss with you, but you have an unmissable job that day," Diana didn't want any accident when proposing, "what would you choose?"
Caspian answered firmly, "Definitely you."
"What about work?" Diana was curious, knowing that the Lancelot Group meant a lot to him.
Caspian answered simply, "Not as important as you."
Both he and Charles considered Diana to be a very important person in their lives.
When there was a conflict between the company and her, they would choose her without hesitation.
"Chloe's birthday is coming up soon, and I want to invite you to join," Diana deliberately set the stage so that the proposal wouldn't be discovered, "I'll let you know once the time is set."
"Okay." Caspian always agreed to her requests.
"Then I'll come to pick you up." Diana added.
Caspian paused his eating, noticing the implication in her words, "Are you leaving?"
"You're busy, and Charles is also managing the company. I feel a bit bored staying here," Diana decided to go back and study the proposal, "Chloe and Coco are quite free recently, so I'll go back and hang out with them."
"Okay." Caspian didn't try to keep her.
Although he was reluctant, it was indeed a better choice for her to go back.
He was busy with the proposal and couldn't accompany her every day. It was better to let her go back and have fun than to stay here bored.
However...
"Can you stay with me tonight?" Caspian made this request.
Diana was slightly surprised, "Didn't you say you didn't want me to go to your place?"
"Let's go to a hotel." Caspian blurted out.
He initially thought of going to his other residences, but considering those places were rarely cleaned, he gave up.
Diana's eyes widened slightly, feeling very surprised by his words, "You want me to stay with you at a hotel tonight?"
"Yes." Caspian nodded.
He hadn't measured her ring size yet and needed to get it first.
The proposal ring couldn't be custom-made in time, but the wedding ring had to be well-customized.
"No problem." Diana saw his red ears and thought he finally got the hint, feeling a bit nervous, "Send me the room number after you book it, I'll go pack."
Caspian had a puzzled look.
Pack what?
He didn't ask this question, so naturally, he didn't get an answer from Diana.
After finishing their meal, Caspian sent her back and only drove back to his apartment after seeing her go inside.
Thinking about what was going to happen that night, Caspian opened his rarely used Facebook and sent a message to Louis: [How alert is Diana?]
[No less than you.] Louis's answer was concise and direct.
On the surface, Diana seemed like a pampered rich girl, but in fact, her skills, stamina, and alertness were better than many.
After all, they had a father who retired from a special organization and had set different levels of training for them since elementary school to strengthen their physical fitness.
By the way, Caspian's training was several times more than Diana's.
According to their father, it was enough for Diana to protect herself, but he had to protect both himself and Diana.
Caspian paused for a moment before asking again: [Would she feel it if I touched her hand while she's asleep?]
[How do you confirm if she's really asleep or just pretending?] Louis countered.
Caspian didn't know how to respond.
Although they didn't play together very often, he was aware of Diana's acting skills.
While he was thinking of a way, Louis sent him another message: [You want to measure her ring size?]
Caspian made a call.
Since Louis had guessed it, there must be a way.
When he saw the call, Louis told Lyra he was taking a call and went to the balcony to answer, "What's up?"
"How can I measure Diana's ring size without her knowing?" Caspian asked directly.
Louis was silent for a while.
From his perspective, he didn't want Diana to marry Caspian so soon. After all, she was his sister whom he had cared for over twenty years, and he couldn't let her be taken away so easily.
But Diana had helped him before, and she liked this person wholeheartedly.
It wouldn't be appropriate not to tell.
"Want to know?" He thought of a way.
Caspian's eyes showed a slight change, "Yes."
"Say something nice." Louis deliberately made it difficult for him.
"Mr. Reynolds, please."
Louis continued to make it difficult, "Just call me chief."
"Chief, please." Caspian's voice was clear and calm, without any fluctuation.
Louis was stunned, not knowing what to say. He didn't expect Caspian to follow his words for Diana.
"A glass of juice with sugar and a ridiculous TV show," Louis knew this conclusion by accident, "She'll be in a deep sleep in no more than ten minutes."
Caspian was skeptical.
That simple?
"If you're worried she won't sleep deeply enough, just hold her while she sleeps," Louis added, though reluctantly admitting it was true, "She sleeps very soundly in the arms of someone she trusts."
Every time she slept next to their mom, she would fall asleep instantly.
Sometimes she couldn't even be woken up.
"Okay." Caspian planned to try, his words polite yet distant, "Thank you."
"Wait." Louis stopped him.
Caspian didn't hang up, maintaining the posture of holding the phone.
Louis paused for a moment before speaking, "Sleeping is fine, but don't do anything else."
He knew that many people cohabited before marriage, but as a brother, he didn't want to see someone take his sister away so early.
"I won't." Caspian promised.
Moments later.
The call ended.
Listening to his response, Louis didn't know how to describe his feelings.
Logically, he should be happy that Caspian agreed to his request so cooperatively, but the emotionless response made him uneasy.
A thought popped into his head: Is Caspian impotent?
"Done with the call?" Lyra called him.
Louis put away his phone and walked towards her, "Yes."
Lyra noticed his unusual expression, "Something happened?"
"No." Louis stopped himself from thinking about those things. Whether Caspian was normal or not, Diana should know. As a brother, he shouldn't meddle in things that weren't his business.
