Chapter 507 Exposed
Louis's brow scrunched up right away.
Checked? If he remembered right, Gavin had been chilling there, watching Diana and Lon play since they got back.
He hadn't talked to the bodyguards outside, hadn't made a call or sent a text. When did he check?
Plus, Gavin didn't even have his phone. How did he ask Benjamin and Daphne?
"What's up?" Gavin noticed his serious face.
Louis shot him a look, thinking Gavin was really up to something. "Nothing."
"You cool with it?"
"Yeah, totally."
"Then I'll tell Diana you agreed." Gavin kept lying, not realizing he'd already slipped up.
Louis went back to his book. "Go ahead."
Gavin was confused. What was going on? Wasn't he mad before? Why the sudden change?
"When you send her over, don't forget her pillow and teddy bear," Louis said in a childish voice. "She can't sleep without her pillow."
"Are you for real?" Gavin was baffled.
Louis looked confused. "What do you mean?"
Gavin frowned, staring at Louis, trying to catch him slipping, but Louis kept up his innocent act.
"Forget it. I was messing with you earlier," Gavin admitted. "Even if Diana really wanted to go, I wouldn't let her."
Crashing at someone else's place alone wasn't cool. Besides the safety stuff, it would be a hassle for others.
"Next time you lie, make it solid," Louis said straight up. "At least pretend you called or texted Mom and Dad."
Gavin paused, then got it!
Louis's observation skills were too sharp. And he's only four years old.
"Louis!" Diana's voice suddenly rang out.
She ran over with her short legs. Every time Louis saw her like this, he worried she might trip.
Louis put down his book, acting all mature. "What's up?"
"Can I borrow your computer?" Diana asked cutely, her smile was adorable. "Lon said he knows a lot about computers and can hack firewalls."
Diana continued, "I want him to teach me."
"I can do that too," Louis said simply.
"I only want Lon to teach me," Diana's words stung Louis, and she added. "I feel Lon is better than you!"
Louis snapped his book shut.
Under Diana and Gavin's puzzled looks, he got off the chair and walked towards Lon.
Then, Louis asked Lon, "You know hacking?"
"Yeah." Lon's voice was soft.
"Let's have a competition," Louis said seriously.
Louis wanted Diana to see who was really better.
Lon raised an eyebrow, surprised. "You know how?"
"Yeah."
"Alright." Lon agreed.
Soon, Lon and Louis started their competition.
Gavin watched in amazement, starting to doubt himself. One Louis was enough, but how was Lon also so skilled?
Gavin didn't have hacking skills, but Lon and Louis were so good at them.
"Gavin, who do you think will win, Lon or Louis?" Diana asked curiously, her eyes fixed on Lon.
"Isn't it obvious? Of course, Louis," Gavin whispered to her, not letting the two kids hear. "Don't you remember how good your mom is at this?"
Diana bit her lip, her round eyes filled with worry. Normally, she would hope Louis would win.
But Lon was a guest she invited. If Louis won, would Lon got upset?
"Can you let Lon win?" She asked Gavin.
Gavin thought he misheard. "What?"
"Let Lon win," Diana repeated.
"You don't want Louis to win?" Gavin was surprised.
Louis proposed the competition because Diana said Lon was better than him, and he wanted to regain some dignity as her brother.
"I do." Diana's heart was torn. "But I want Lon to win more."
Gavin glanced at Louis with a complicated look, suddenly feeling a bit sorry for him.
While they were talking, Louis and Lon finished their competition, and the result was no surprise: Louis won.
"How are you so good?" Lon was now doubting himself. He always thought he was a genius, but now he realized there were even more talented people.
Louis's hand left the keyboard, and he simply said, "I have a good teacher."
Then, he got off the chair.
Louis's gaze fell on Diana, and he seriously said, "I won. I'm better than him."
Diana's attention was all on Lon.
After hearing Louis's words, she casually praised him and then went to talk to Lon.
"Don't be sad. My mom is super good. When she comes back, I'll ask her to teach you. If you learn from her for a month, you'll definitely surpass Louis! Don't be discouraged! Come on, I'll take you to eat something good!" Diana said as she pulled Lon's hand to play.
Lon wanted to chat more with Louis, but Diana's grip was too strong, so he had to follow her.
Watching the two leave hand in hand, Louis's brow furrowed deeply.
Gavin understood Louis at that moment.
Because he also felt like Diana was being taken away.
"Why don't you go play with them?" Gavin suggested after some thought.
"No." Louis was a self-disciplined person. "After today, she'll know I'm the best."
He was just a one-day playmate, and they could not see each other every day. Louis didn't need to worry.
Gavin saw Diana and Lon playing happily and tentatively asked, "Really not going?"
"No." Louis was firm.
Louis thought he could endure it, but he overestimated himself.
At lunch, Louis saw Diana not sitting next to him but instead next to Lon. His handsome brow furrowed. "Diana, come here."
