Chapter 745 Thanks for the Reminder

"In case you screenshot our chat and send it to Mom and Dad," Louis said directly.

Diana knew Louis could be annoying, but she didn't expect him to be this calculating. "Well, too bad for you. I'll copy the dashcam footage and let them listen to it later."

"Thanks for the reminder," Louis replied.

Diana was even more puzzled. Thanks?

"It's already deleted," Louis said, taking his hand off the computer keyboard. "Next time something like this happens, remember to back it up before telling me."

"You bastard!" Diana cursed at him and angrily hung up the phone.

Louis sent her a message: [If you help me this time, I'll delete all your dark past.]

Diana replied: [I don't care.]

If he dared to tell Caspian about her dark past, she would tell their parents about his.

Thinking of this, Diana decisively booked a ticket to Ivrea City.

There was nothing for her to do in Gedser for the time being. The project she was in charge of was running smoothly, and she didn't want to see the annoying Louis for now. It was better for her to find Caspian.

Caspian was currently at home working on his proposal plan, arranging everything meticulously.

At this moment, he had no idea that Diana would come looking for him.

At around six in the afternoon, Diana arrived at the Lancelot Group building.

Looking at the tall building in front of her, she sent Caspian a message: [Are you off work?]

Seeing that it was from Diana, Caspian replied without any hesitation: [Not yet. You go ahead and have fun. I'll find you when I'm done.]

His thought was simple. Finish the current small plan first; otherwise, constant chatting would easily distract him.

He didn't have much time left and had to perfect the plan as soon as possible.

[Okay, take your time. Remember to eat.] Diana replied and then entered the building with the dinner she had prepared for Caspian, planning to give him a surprise.

Many people at the Lancelot Group knew her, so naturally, no one stopped her.

In five minutes, she reached the floor of the CEO's office.

When Alvin saw her, his first reaction was to greet her, changing the way he addressed her from when she worked there, "Mr. Reynolds."

Diana nodded slightly in greeting.

"Mr. Lancelot is in a meeting, it will end soon," Alvin said, holding the documents he was about to take to the meeting room. "You can wait for him in the CEO's office."

"I'm not looking for him; I'm looking for Caspian," Diana said with a smile.

Alvin paused.

Diana noticed his unusual reaction. "What's wrong?"

"Mr. Garcia didn't come to work today," Alvin said, thinking Diana hadn't contacted Caspian and didn't know. He honestly explained, "He took two weeks off from Mr. Lancelot."

Diana almost thought she was hearing things but didn't show any abnormality. She simply replied, "I didn't know. I came secretly without telling him."

Alvin breathed a slight sigh of relief. He said he had to get back to work and didn't interfere further.

Diana initially wanted to message Caspian, but remembering his previous response, she hesitated. Since he had already lied to her, he probably wouldn't tell the truth if she asked again.

Thinking this, she decided to wait in the CEO's office and talk to Charles after his meeting.

Since Charles was temporarily taking over Caspian's position, he should know where Caspian had gone.

Five minutes later, Charles arrived.

Seeing her in the office, he wasn't surprised, having already been informed by Alvin. "What brings you here?"

"Just bored, so I came to hang out with you guys," Diana said, standing up from the boss's chair and sitting on the nearby sofa. "Alvin said Caspian took leave. What's up with him?"

"He's on a project inspection," Charles said, handing her a glass of water, his demeanor calm and collected.

Diana looked puzzled. "Isn't he on leave?"

"Officially, yes. Only he and I know about this," Charles lied without batting an eye, his face serious. "The project is quite confidential and can't be leaked for now."

"Even Alvin can't know?"

"Yes."

"What project is it? Can I know?" Diana asked.

"No," Charles replied directly. "You hold positions in three of your family's companies. You can't know."

"Stingy." Diana didn't press further, knowing business matters couldn't be taken lightly. "But can I at least know if he's in Ivrea City or somewhere else?"

"Ivrea City," Charles answered.

Diana nodded. She didn't doubt it. After all, Caspian's message content didn't seem suspicious.

"Didn't you tell him you were coming?" Charles chatted with her to buy time.

"I wanted to surprise him," Diana said, handing over the food she had prepared. "Who knew he wouldn't be at the office? The food is wasted."

"Can't I have it?"

"You won't like it."

Charles and Caspian had different tastes. Though not much, she could tell the difference.

"Then wait here for him. He'll come by after finishing his work," Charles said without giving anything away. "I'll go brief Alvin on some matters."

"Okay." Diana nodded.

After leaving, Charles informed Caspian about his conversation with Diana, reminding him not to slip up when he arrived.

About an hour later, Caspian finally arrived.

Seeing Diana playing on her phone in the office, he paused at the door.

"You're finally here," Diana said, putting down her phone and walking towards him, pulling him inside. "If you came any later, the food would have gone cold."

"Sorry," Caspian said, his eyes fixed on her.

Even though they had seen each other just the day before. It felt like a long time.

"No need to apologize. I came unannounced," Diana said, pulling him to sit down and showing him the food she brought. "Eat first, then I want to discuss something with you."

"What is it?" Caspian asked, looking up at her.

Diana didn't say.

She couldn't decide on Louis's matter alone.

Caspian, being a man, had a maturity level similar to Louis in some aspects.

With him as her advisor, she could think more rationally about whether to agree to Louis.

Caspian didn't touch the utensils, feeling guilty and worried that what Diana wanted to discuss was related to him.

"It's about Louis," Diana said, as if reading his mind, giving him a hint. "I want your advice."
