Chapter 505 Impressive Social Skills

"Alright, listen up," Louis finally caved to Diana's puppy eyes and laid it out straight. "When we get there, you can't bug him. Even if you wanna hang out, ten minutes tops."

"Got it!" Diana chirped, all eager.

Louis rubbed his temples, feeling a bit helpless.

Gavin had never set foot on a film set, but being the big boss of the Murphy Group, he had no trouble getting in.

So, after giving the producer a heads-up, he took Louis and Diana to the set.

Funny enough, the Murphy Group was bankrolling this show too.

When they got there, Daisy was on a break and looked surprised to see them.

Diana dashed over, her voice bubbling with excitement. "Daisy!"

"What brings you guys here?" Daisy greeted Louis and Diana warmly, ruffling their hair with a grin.

Diana pouted. "I miss you."

She then gave Daisy a gentle hug.

Seeing Gavin had brought them, Daisy glanced around and asked, "Where's your mom?"

"Mom and Dad went on a date," Diana replied, her big eyes twinkling with a sly smile.

Daisy chuckled.

As they chatted, Diana's eyes started to wander, and she asked casually, "Hey, Daisy."

"Yes?" Daisy responded softly.

"Where's the little boy you're acting with?" Diana looked around but didn't spot him, her curiosity piqued. "Is he not filming today?"

"He is shooting over there," Daisy said, not catching Diana's drift, thinking kids just like other kids. "He should be done in about twenty minutes."

Diana beamed and kept chatting with Daisy while waiting for the boy to finish.

Gavin felt something was off but couldn't put his finger on it.

After a bit, Diana blurted out, "Daisy, can I go watch them film?"

"You wanna go?"

"Yes!"

"Alright, I'll take you," Daisy said, grabbing her hand and leading her over.

Since Molly started kindergarten, Daisy had jumped back into acting. To keep her from picking bad scripts and getting played by the company, Daphne set up a personal studio for her and loaded her with resources.

In just a couple of years, Daisy had shot to the top, with two hit shows under her belt, which were the hottest ones in recent years.

Daisy had mad talent, and her timing and luck were spot on.

Anyone else, even with two hit shows, might not have made it to the top tier. After all, in showbiz, there are plenty of hit shows but not always hit actors.

When Daisy brought Diana over, they were filming a shot with wire. The cute little boy was deep in his role, acting with someone else.

"Behave yourself," Louis noticed Diana's eyes sparkling and warned her ahead of time. "Or I won't bring you next time."

"I know, I know!" Diana said, looking cute as ever.

Their little chat was so low-key that Daisy and Gavin didn't catch a word.

"Mr. Murphy!" The assistant director spotted Gavin and quickly came over. "What brings you here?"

Others turned to look, clearly surprised. Luckily, those deep in their work kept on filming.

Not wanting to mess up the shoot, Gavin just exchanged a few words and then zeroed in on the little boy acting.

His interest didn't go unnoticed, and folks started wondering if the kid had some connection to Gavin.

"Cut!" the director yelled, wrapping up the scene.

As soon as the boy was done, Diana darted over and stood behind the crew.

Once they untied the wire from the boy and he was about to take a break, Diana walked up to him with a big smile.

"Is acting fun?" Diana's social skills were on point, and her cute tone was hard to resist.

Gavin and Daisy were both a bit taken aback.

Gavin turned to Louis, "Does Diana know this kid?"

"Nope, she just saw him from afar once," Louis replied, watching Diana walk off with the boy, feeling a bit emotional. "She came here just to hang out with him."

Gavin was puzzled.

Daphne wasn't exactly a social butterfly as a kid, and Benjamin didn't seem to be one either. So how did they end up with such a social little one?

"Mr. Murphy," the director greeted Gavin and, noticing his gaze on the boy, asked, "Are you here for a visit?"

Gavin paused and then replied casually, "Yeah."

"Who's that?" the director asked, glancing at Diana.

"My niece," Gavin said, still watching Louis and Diana, answering truthfully.

Everyone was surprised.

Meanwhile, Diana had already hit it off with the boy and started chatting more. "I saw the wire tied to you, lifting you high up. Did it hurt?"

"Nope." The boy shook his head.

"Got any more scenes later?"

"Nope."

"Can you come to my house? I got tons of fun toys and yummy food," Diana invited eagerly.

"No," the boy declined, looking super cute. "My mom's waiting for me at home. She'll worry if I'm late."

Diana said, "How about I go home with you?"

Louis's face darkened, and he called her name more sternly than usual, "Diana Reynolds!"

"Louis." Diana looked a bit scared.

"What did I tell you earlier?" Louis felt she was too easily swayed, even offering to go with the boy.

Diana's big eyes got all watery, and her muffled voice sounded like she was about to cry. "I just wanted to have a meal with him."

If Louis didn't know how good Diana was at fake crying, he might have caved.

"Didn't Mom and Dad tell you not to go home with strangers?" Louis said with a big-brother tone, his soft voice carrying a hint of sternness.
