Chapter 641 Jesse and Elara
During the following period, Jesse was busy with wedding preparations.
To give Elara a grand wedding, he paid meticulous attention to every detail.
Due to his family background, Jesse didn't hold the wedding at the home that had abandoned him as a child; instead, he held it in Gedser.
In the blink of an eye, it was the night before Jesse's wedding.
Jesse was with Mark, feeling nervous about the wedding the next day.
Elara wanted to come out and join them, but Harry and Zara stopped her. "What are you doing going out so late? You need to rest well now; you'll be busy tomorrow morning."
"It's just makeup and hair." Elara was already familiar with the process. "Don't worry, I'll be up in time."
Harry and Zara had no intention of letting Elara go out and had someone close the door directly.
Elara was a bit confused. "What are you doing?"
"Stay home and rest properly," Zara said seriously. "It's just one night; why are you so anxious?"
"It's not about being anxious; I just want to see him," Elara said earnestly.
Zara still wouldn't let Elara go; she was particularly insistent on this matter.
Elara had to change her approach. "Actually, I'm worried Jesse is too nervous and might make a mistake tomorrow."
"Even if you make a mistake, he won't," Harry joined in, sternly saying, "Go upstairs and rest."
In the end, seeing that she really couldn't go out, Elara had no choice but to go upstairs.
But she couldn't sleep at all, her mind filled with images of marrying Jesse the next day. Just thinking about it made her extremely excited.
After washing up, Elara held her phone and texted Jesse: [What are you doing?]
Jesse replied immediately: [With Mark.]
Elara: [Nervous?]
Jesse paused at the message. Of course, he was nervous.
Seeing Jesse hesitate for a long time without replying, Mark took the phone from him and replied: [Impossible to be nervous, not in this lifetime.]
Elara: [Give the phone back to Jesse.]
Mark paused, looked around, and asked Jesse: [Do you have a hidden camera here?]
Elara: [No,]
Jesse took the phone back, and seeing their conversation, he understood what was going on. "I never talk to her like that; she naturally knows it's not me replying."
Mark adjusted his glasses. "I didn't expect you two to actually end up together."
Jesse looked at him slightly puzzled. Didn't he try to set them up before? How could he not expect it?
"I always thought your personality was suited for being single," Mark teased. "It's a pity for such a good girl like Elara to be ruined by you."
"No more pity than your wife," Jesse retorted. "So young and married to a workaholic who doesn't know how to sweet-talk."
"Since I got married, I leave work on time at five every day," Mark said.
Mark said, "Mr. Lancelot never lets me work overtime."
"If I had known, I would have married earlier," Mark sighed, a faint smile on his handsome face.
"If you had married earlier, you wouldn't have encountered such a good thing," Jesse said truthfully, his cool eyes looking at him. "Charles made this change because his relationship with Daphne fell apart."
"Besides, if you had married earlier, you wouldn't have met your current wife," Jesse added.
"True," Mark didn't argue. "Everything happens for a reason."
That night, Jesse and Mark talked for a long time.
Until Jesse's nervousness gradually subsided, they each went to their rooms to sleep.
Early the next morning, Jesse went to pick up Elara.
The wedding was held on a large hotel lawn.
Among the attendees were not only friends and family but also some business partners.
The venue was beautifully and dreamily decorated. When Elara arrived, her face radiated happiness, and her eyes sparkled with joy.
During the wedding, Harry personally placed Elara's hand in Jesse's.
Then came the officiant's speech, with Diana as the flower girl and Louis as the ring bearer, brought the rings for them to exchange.
Watching this beautiful scene, Brian, dressed in a suit and tie, nudged Richard's arm. "Seeing such a romantic scene, do you have any thoughts?"
"Yes," Richard said, clearly intending to annoy him.
Brian asked, "Really?"
Richard said, "Yes."
"So when are we having ours?" Brian asked seriously. "You choose the place and the style."
Richard glanced at Brian and said something very hurtful, "You are not in my wedding plans."
Richard knew that Brian truly cared for him, remaining consistently by his side for years. However, the past lingered in his mind, making it impossible for him to start afresh. Rather than that, it was better to find a way to make Brian let go.
Brian's smile froze, and he paused. "What did you say?"
"You are not in my wedding plans," Richard said, holding back his emotions, his usually sleepy eyes now cold. "By the way, there's a girl I have feelings for."
"Don't tell such clumsy lies in front of me," Brian forced a smile. "I know you quite well."
"Believe it or not," Richard said, then turned his gaze to Jesse and Elara on the stage.
Brian shifted his gaze to Richard, trying to find any sign of lying on his face, but no matter how he looked, Richard's face remained cold and indifferent.
This gave Brian a bad feeling.
Richard, could he really...
Because of this, Brian was out of sorts the entire time.
On stage, Jesse and Elara exchanged rings and shared a tender kiss full of love in front of everyone.
