Chapter 729 A Little Obsessed with Love
As Caspian grew up, this light in his heart became more and more beautiful. While he was deeply in love, he always felt unworthy of this beauty.
So when the light came to him, his first reaction was to avoid it, fearing that he would dim the light. Later, it was an inner struggle, worrying about the distant future.
Charles understood what was in Caspian's mind, but only time could make Caspian no longer feel inferior.
"Plus, he's a bit obsessed with love," Charles spoke again.
Diana thought for a moment.
Since their relationship improved, Caspian agreed to everything she said, without any bottom line.
"Is there any way to make him feel better?" Diana hoped Caspian would be confident; he was already excellent.
Charles didn't delve into it, so he naturally didn't know. "I don't know, but after you get married and have a baby, it might get better."
"That makes sense," Diana agreed with this statement.
That night.
Diana chatted with Charles for more than half an hour before going upstairs to sleep.
At the end, Diana asked, "Charles, do you want to go to Gedser with us?"
"No," Charles refused.
"Really?" Diana asked tentatively, giving him a reason, "You and Austin haven't gathered for a long time. Don't you old folks like to sit together and chat over tea?"
"I'm not old." This was Charles's last bit of stubbornness.
Diana smiled and didn't insist.
But Charles did look young. Though in his early fifties, his face had almost no wrinkles, and he was very well-maintained.
"One more thing," Charles spoke again.
Diana asked in confusion, "What?"
"Austin and Matt came to Ivrea City a few days ago," Charles told her, with a hint of implication: "I don't need to go to Gedser."
"It's still necessary," Diana insisted.
She knew that no matter how old a man was, there was always a bit of pride in his heart.
Charles was no exception.
Charles's eyes were calm. "What?"
"Aren't you going to support Caspian?" Diana said directly. "After all, he is your heir."
Since Charles gave some pointers to Bodhi, Bodhi rebuilt his company. Although it wasn't listed, it became a medium-sized enterprise.
Since then, he remarried and had children.
As for Caspian, he lived alone.
At first, Bodhi saw that she and Charles were close to Caspian and wanted to keep Caspian by his side, but the woman he married didn't like Caspian, so he had to let Caspian live alone.
At that time, he didn't know that Charles had already started training Caspian.
It was Caspian who didn't want Bodhi to know, as he didn't want his father to care for him because of Charles.
The result also proved that Bodhi was a man who only valued interests.
Caspian lived alone later on.
Until he became the president of the Lancelot Group, Bodhi found him again, trying to get closer.
But a father who had been absent for more than ten years was no longer needed by Caspian, especially since most of his achievements came from Charles's training.
Seeing Caspian being so ruthless, Bodhi cursed him for being ungrateful and left. Since then, he never looked for him again, as if Caspian didn't exist.
"Aren't you afraid your parents will hear this?" Charles teased.
"No, at most my dad will say I can't tell right from wrong." Diana knew her parents well. "He tried every way to keep me away from mom, so it's normal for me to help others."
"Okay," Charles agreed.
Diana raised her eyebrows. "Really?"
"It's about my heir's future." Charles liked Caspian, his style of doing things suited him. "I should go with him to talk to your parents."
Diana smiled happily.
Because Charles was going, they refunded and rebooked the tickets.
Early the next morning.
Charles called Mark.
Although Mark retired early and traveled around, he occasionally helped Charles with some things.
"Mr. Lancelot." Mark was about to set off with his wife to another city.
"Can you do something for me?" Charles made the call without letting anyone hear, standing on the balcony of the study, lowering his voice, "Change the will from back then."
Mark was very surprised. After so many years, he thought Charles would always keep that will.
He was curious. "How to change it?"
"Split the shares into two, give them to Diana and Caspian," Charles's deep voice said slowly. "Get it done within a year."
"Okay," Mark agreed without hesitation.
Caspian grew up under his watch, and he was indeed very capable.
Rex and the others had their own shares, enough for dividends.
As the president of the Lancelot Group, Caspian didn't have much decision-making power in some matters. With shares, it would be much better.
But Diana... Was Charles still thinking about Daphne?
After the instruction, Charles hung up and planned to rest.
The bad idea Austin gave him back then unexpectedly came true.
Although Caspian wasn't his child, he was his heir, and it was Caspian who took Daphne's daughter away.
After lunch the next day.
Diana and the two others set off for Gedser.
After many years, coming to this place again, Charles's mood changed. Every time he came, his state of mind was different.
"You guys go to the hotel to rest first, I'll go home and talk to them about this." Diana separated from them at the hotel entrance. "Let's talk in the evening."
Both Caspian and Charles responded with an okay.
Diana got into the car driven by her family's driver.
In the morning, Caspian called her parents to talk about coming over to discuss their relationship. Although her parents agreed on the phone, she still wanted to test the waters.
After all, Caspian was a bit nervous on the way to Gedser.
As soon as she got in the car, she saw her brother sitting in the back seat, with a look of surprise in her eyes, she asked, "Louis? What are you doing here?"
"To pick you up." Louis was very brief.
Diana didn't believe it.
Although he always picked her up when she came home from a trip, this time was different.
"No, you want to probe Caspian's situation," Diana guessed.
