Chapter 710 She Will Give Up

After the matter was settled, Louis went to Ivrea City with Diana.

Louis didn't stay at Charles's house with Diana but chose to stay at a hotel instead. Diana didn't mind this.

Upon returning to Ivrea City, Diana immediately went to Caspian's doctor to understand the situation. After getting all the details and potential issues clear, she began to think about how to talk to Caspian.

In the blink of an eye, it was Thursday.

When Caspian finished his work, Louis went to find him.

He was a bit surprised to see Louis, and they stood a short distance apart.

"Want to talk?" Louis's eyes were deep.

Caspian spoke little, "Get in the car."

Louis didn't say much either, opened the car door, and got in.

The car ride was extremely quiet, with only the faint noise of the tires breaking the silence.

Alvin, who was driving, had a slight sweat on his forehead and felt a bit tense, as if the two were about to fight.

Fortunately, the company wasn't too far from Caspian's place, and in just over half an hour, Alvin had dropped them off.

Caspian took Louis to his home, asked him what he wanted to drink, and then brought a glass of water. "What do you want to talk about?"

"Diana," Louis said straightforwardly.

Caspian paused for a moment but quickly regained his composure. "I've already made things clear with her."

Louis didn't speak. He took out his phone, opened the information he had found, and pushed it across the table towards Caspian. "Sorry, I looked into your matters without your permission."

This simple sentence made a flicker of emotion cross Caspian's face.

Caspian took the phone, puzzled. When he saw the content, his emotions changed slightly.

"Diana already knows," Louis told him directly. "but she still chooses to be with you. So I came to ask what you think."

Louis had promised Diana not to seek out Caspian, but as her brother, he couldn't let her take risks.

Louis needed to understand Caspian's thoughts and the situation.

"I've already told her my thoughts." Caspian returned the phone to Louis, his emotions so stable that it made one doubt the report's authenticity. "I won't be with her, nor will I like her."

Louis's eyes deepened.

Caspian, thinking Louis was there to stop them, added, "You can rest assured."

"Before coming here, I tried to stop her, but she firmly chose you." Louis's feelings were complicated. "She's not someone who can be easily dissuaded. Once she decides on something, no one can change her mind."

From childhood to adulthood, there were very few things Diana took seriously.

"She will give up," Caspian said with certainty.

Caspian's gaze fell on Louis's still-lit screen, and he explained, "No one would like a madman. Once she knows the real me, she will leave."

"Do you not like her at all?" Louis suddenly realized a problem.

Caspian responded with a question, "What answer do you want to hear?"

"The truth."

"I like her." He even wanted to possess her.

He wanted Diana to stay by his side forever, with her eyes and heart only for him.

"Then why not try to get better?" This was what puzzled Louis the most. "You rarely go for consultations, only when things get serious, and you don't follow the doctor's prescribed treatment stages."

Caspian paused. Why?

Because Caspian never thought he could have Diana from the beginning. He always felt that someone more suitable for her would appear, but his selfish possessiveness wanted her to belong only to him.

The clash of these two emotions resulted in the current situation: he wanted her badly, yet he kept pushing her away.

"I selfishly thought about not letting her come," Louis spoke frankly, as men should face their problems head-on, "but she won't give up without giving it her all."

"Caspian," Louis called out.

Caspian looked at him, his eyes showing a complexity that wasn't there before.

Louis spoke earnestly, "I hope you face your situation and don't avoid your feelings. Your condition isn't that bad."

Caspian didn't speak. If a few words could change his mind, he wouldn't have been struggling for so many years.

"I'm leaving now." Louis stood up, not needing an immediate answer. "Think it over."

With that, Louis left his house.

For over an hour afterward, Caspian sat on the couch, leaning back and lost in complex thoughts.

Caspian never expected Diana to find out about this, let alone that she would still want to be with him after knowing.

Diana sent Caspian a message, asking to meet at a convenient time.

Caspian's hand hovered over the input box, his thoughts swinging between agreeing and refusing.

Diana waited for a reply. After about ten minutes, she sent another message: [I'll come to your place after work tomorrow.]

There was still no reply.

Fortunately, Diana was calm and wasn't hurt or sad by Caspian's coldness. She was solely focused on winning him over.

Charles, seeing her like this, felt an urge to drag Caspian to their home. He really thought that Diana had put in too much effort.

"Was there an emergency at home last time you rushed back?" Charles chatted with her about daily matters, trying to distract her.

"No, Louis needed me." Diana didn't tell Charles about Caspian's situation, as it would only add another person to worry. "But it's resolved now."

"Louis is in Ivrea City too?" Charles thought of the news he received not long ago.

Diana was slightly surprised. "How did you know?"

"Just a guess." Charles didn't tell her the truth.

Around six, Charles received a message from Alvin, saying that Louis and Caspian were together, and their atmosphere seemed off. He was worried something might happen and informed Charles.

Charles didn't intervene.

To Alvin, it was a matter between two company presidents, but to Charles, it was just two kids needing to talk.

Diana noticed Charles's expression and guessed, "Did he go to see Caspian?"

"Why would he see Caspian? Is your family planning to collaborate with the Lancelot Group?" Charles responded with a question.
