Chapter 717 Diana Seriously Likes Caspian

After the call, Diana returned to Charles.

It was almost eleven o'clock when she arrived.

But even though it was so late, Charles was still waiting for her in the living room. When he saw her come back, he brought out the late-night snack he had prepared in advance from the kitchen.

"Why aren't you asleep yet?" Diana was a bit surprised.

On the way back, Diana realized it was late and told Charles to go to bed first. After all, he was an elder, and staying up late wasn't as easy for him as it was for young people.

"I haven't heard how you managed to win over Caspian yet. How could I sleep?" Charles placed the snack in front of her, his long eyes filled with a mix of affection and care.

"You could have just asked me over the phone," Diana said while eating the snack. "Besides, you can hear it tomorrow too."

"I can't see your happy face over the phone." Charles was a very good elder, and the curve of his lips was incredibly warm. "I want to hear you tell your story in front of me."

Diana paused, then laughed.

She put down the fork she was using for the snack and began to tell Charles.

Diana recounted what had happened between her and Caspian today, but she didn't mention Caspian's illness.

She knew very well that with Charles's personality, if he knew about Caspian's condition, he would definitely feel guilty.

Charles had already done enough, and Diana didn't want him to feel guilty.

After the story, Charles's eyebrows were tinged with a bit of a smile, and he wished her and Caspian a long and happy life together.

That night, before going to bed, Diana video called Caspian. They talked for more than half an hour, with Diana doing most of the talking and Caspian listening or occasionally responding.

Towards the end of the conversation, Caspian spoke a bit more.

"By the way," Diana said seriously as she remembered what Charles had told her before bed. "Charles wants you to come over for dinner on Saturday. He said it's time for a family gathering."

"Okay," Caspian replied.

"When will it become a family of four?" Diana teased.

"Ask Charles," Caspian responded honestly, not catching on immediately. "Ask him when he's going to find a partner."

Diana giggled softly, her voice sweet and cute. "Are you silly?"

Caspian was slightly confused.

He clearly didn't understand what Diana meant.

"Does a family of four have to mean Charles finds a partner?" Diana chatted boldly and directly. "You're such an idiot."

Caspian was just as puzzled as before. Just as he was about to ask, a thought suddenly popped into his head: a child.

Caspian froze, his grip on the phone tightening slightly.

"Are you saying..." Caspian's voice was hoarse, and a complex look flashed in his eyes. "A child?"

"What else?" Diana retorted.

Caspian remained silent.

Even though Diana had confessed to him, shown her possessiveness, and announced their relationship to everyone, he still worried she was just playing around.

But now, hearing her casually planning their future, his heart felt much more at ease.

"When you're ready to marry me, you'll have to quit drinking and staying up late," Diana advised Caspian, genuinely thinking about their future. "Prepare well for pregnancy, okay?"

Caspian's Adam's apple bobbed. "Okay."

"Good boy!" Diana praised him through the video, wanting to reach out and ruffle his hair. "It's getting late, you should go to bed early."

After Caspian said goodnight, Diana hung up the phone, placed it on the bedside table to charge, and set an alarm for the next morning.

She had promised to pick up Caspian, and she couldn't break her word.

She had a wonderful night's sleep.

Diana slept very soundly.

She got up before seven in the morning, washed up, packed the breakfast the maid had prepared, and left.

Seeing Diana in such a hurry, the maid was a bit worried.

A little after seven forty, Diana arrived at Caspian's doorstep.

She held the breakfast in one hand and rang the doorbell with the other.

Caspian had just returned from his morning run and taken a shower. He casually threw on a shirt and went to open the door, thinking it was Alvin.

When he saw Diana standing outside, he froze.

"Good morning, Caspian." Diana raised the breakfast a bit higher, her smile as warm as the rising sun. "Mind inviting me in? I brought you a love-filled breakfast from Charles's place."

Caspian took Diana's wrist and led her inside.

After closing the door, he took a closer look at her.

Due to lack of sleep, her eyes had a few more tiny red veins than usual.

"Why are you here so early?" Caspian felt a mix of emotions.

"To bring you breakfast and take you to work," Diana said as she placed the breakfast on the table and opened the boxes. "Didn't I tell you last night?"

Caspian paused, thinking she had just said it casually.

"Come and eat breakfast," Diana called to him, her beautiful eyes sparkling. "After eating, I'll take you to work."

Caspian sat down and, looking at the lively and energetic Diana beside him, felt a sense of unreality, like he was in a dream.

Diana noticed his gaze. "What's wrong?"

Caspian just stared at her, lost in thought.

"Caspian," Diana leaned in and called him gently.

Caspian snapped back to reality. Seeing her so close, he instinctively pulled back a bit, feeling a bit uneasy. "Eat."

Diana smiled. "Okay."

After breakfast, Diana drove Caspian to work.

Seeing someone so enthusiastic, warm, and accommodating, Caspian repeatedly told himself it was only temporary.

But what he thought was temporary lasted for more than half a month.

Every day, Diana would drive Caspian to and from work. She would always give him a goodbye kiss when he got out of the car and would meticulously report everything she did and everyone she talked to.

After half a month, Caspian's illness not only didn't relapse but actually improved..

This made Alvin particularly curious about what Diana had done, as it was more effective than any doctor.

It was a Friday.

Diana arrived at the company to pick up Caspian, just like usual, but this time she arrived half an hour earlier.
