Chapter 707 I'm Very Seriously

Diana thought for a moment and then asked Louis, "Is Caspian's situation very serious?"

"I'll tell you when you come back." Louis was speaking from the perspective of an older brother, he didn't want Diana to get hurt.

Diana was a bit troubled. "Can't you tell me now?"

"No," Louis answered very directly.

Diana held the phone in contemplation, deciding whether to go back or not.

"Can you give me a hint?" Diana asked tentatively, hoping to talk things over with Caspian before leaving. "At least let me know what's going on with him."

"If you stay with him, you'll lose the most important thing to you." Louis only said this much.

Diana was very puzzled. "Is it that serious?"

Louis answered firmly, "Yes."

"You wouldn't lie to me on purpose to trick me, would you? Caspian is a polite and considerate person, he wouldn't do anything to Mom and Dad." Diana thought Louis was lying to her. "Besides, I'm here too."

Louis knew she misunderstood. "It's not about Mom and Dad."

"Then what is it?" Diana pressed.

"I'll tell you when you come back," Louis repeated.

Diana's expression showed some emotion. "No room for negotiation?"

"No."

"Fine, I'll let Charles know in a bit."

Louis agreed, and they hung up the phone.

Diana knew that Louis was always firm and never joked about serious matters.

Given that, Diana had no choice but to go back and understand the situation before coming back.

Diana told Charles about it, and he was a bit reluctant to see her leave so urgently. "So soon?"

"Yes, but don't worry. I'll come back after I sort things out." Diana estimated the time and made a promise, "No more than a week."

"What about Caspian?" Charles asked her.

Diana replied, "Let it be. He doesn't really want to see me right now anyway. Just don't tell him I'm leaving."

"Okay," Charles agreed.

Early the next morning.

Diana packed a few simple things and returned to Gedser.

As soon as she boarded the plane, Alvin told Caspian about it.

When Caspian heard that Diana had left Ivrea City, he was momentarily stunned, clearly not expecting her to leave so quickly.

"If you go to Gedser now, you might still be able to stop her from marrying into the Hagen family," Alvin suggested. "Do you want me to book a ticket for you?"

"Prepare for the meeting." Caspian suppressed his emotions and said this as if nothing had happened.

Alvin didn't move. "You're not going after her?"

"I don't want to repeat myself." Caspian's face was colder than ever.

Alvin swallowed and nodded obediently. "Yes."

With a heavy heart, Alvin went to prepare for the meeting. At the door, he glanced back at Caspian, who still showed no emotional fluctuation, and said nothing more.

In fact, Caspian was very upset, he hadn't expected Diana to leave without a word.

He suppressed all his negative emotions, adjusted his state, and went to the meeting room.

Leaving was good, he would no longer harbor any small hopes.

People were contradictory. Caspian didn't want Diana to be with him, fearing he would hurt her, but when she left quietly, he felt a sense of loss.

Even this was what he wanted.

With various emotions intertwined, Caspian walked into the meeting room with a cold face, discussing company matters with the executives as usual. He didn't lose his composure or show any emotion.

At two in the afternoon.

Diana arrived at the place she and Louis usually stayed.

Learning that he was at work in company, Diana immediately went to his study.

Knowing Louis, whether investigating something or working, he would do it in the study.

However, Louis had changed the password to the study.

Just as Diana was trying to figure out how to open the door, Louis sent her a message, [Don't think you can just look at the files and leave. I've changed the lock, the computer password, and set special programs on the folders.]

[Do you have to be so harsh?] Diana was completely taken aback.

"I'll talk to you when I get home tonight." Louis sent her a voice message. "I have things to do here."

Diana didn't try to look for the key anymore.

She knew Louis's capabilities well. If he didn't want her to find something, she wouldn't be able to. He had always been smarter than her.

With nothing to do, Diana sat in the living room watching TV, waiting for Louis.

Louis didn't get home until after six in the evening. As soon as he walked in, Diana greeted him.

Before Diana could speak, Louis said, "Let's eat first, we'll talk after."

"Okay," Diana complied.

As the food was served, Diana started eating immediately.

Compared to her usual eating speed, she was noticeably faster.

Louis noticed this detail and stopped eating to look at Diana. After a long silence, he asked, "Do you like him a lot?"

"What?" Diana paused.

"How much do you like Caspian?" Louis asked directly.

"I don't know." Diana was a bit unclear about the boundaries of her feelings, especially with Louis's question. "But I can be sure I like him a lot."

"If our whole family doesn't agree with you being with him," Louis's tone was heavier than usual, "would you break ties with us over it?"

Diana was very puzzled. "Isn't that a stupid question?"

"Answer me." Louis didn't waste words.

"Of course not." Diana continued eating, swallowing before finishing her sentence.

Benjamin and Daphne had given her so much warmth and love, without them, she wouldn't be the vibrant person she was now.

As for Louis, if it weren't for him, she would have had to shoulder more responsibilities. He had helped her share the burden and carry the future.

The three of them were indispensable to Diana, and she would never argue with them.

Louis's eyes were complicated. After much internal struggle, he put down his utensils and made his decision. "From now on, don't like Caspian anymore. He's not right for you."

"Okay," Diana answered perfunctorily.

Louis knew she didn't take it seriously. "I'm very serious about this."
