Chapter 32 Who Bullied Her
"You should take a shower, change into the clothes on the bed, and wait for Mr. Lancelot," Tony said, swallowing, finding Daphne incredibly attractive.
"If you dare to make Mr. Lancelot unhappy, just see how I deal with you." Daphne didn't even glance at those things. Her gaze fell upon Tony, chilling enough to make one feel in danger.
Tony didn't dare linger any longer. He had done everything as planned, and he was afraid that staying too long would make him lose control. After all, this was what Mr. Lancelot wanted.
The moment he turned to leave the room, Daphne quickly slammed the door shut and locked it with the safety latch. Tony furrowed his brow. He wasn't afraid of what Daphne would do to him, but he asked, "What are you doing?"
"We need to have a talk," Daphne pulled a chair and sat behind the door, blocking Tony's exit.
"If you want to talk, we can do it after Mr. Lancelot is done," Tony suddenly laughed, misinterpreting Daphne's intentions. "At that time, I will definitely let you..."
With a loud bang, Daphne stood up and kicked him. For rubbish like him, she just wanted to beat him up.
"Ah!" Tony screamed in pain, clutching his stomach.
Daphne glanced at him angrily as she sat on the ground. "What do you want to do?" Moving closer to him, Daphne asked, "Did you make Joe lay hands on Lydia?"
Tony froze, temporarily forgetting about the pain. Nervously, he replied, "I don't understand what you're saying."
"It's alright if you don't understand, I'll remind you." After saying this, Daphne employed her special methods. She had checked this man's information and knew that he had harmed many girls. If she had substantial evidence, she would have sent him to jail without hesitation.
"Ah!" Tony screamed in agony.
Hearing the commotion from inside, the accompanying bodyguard instinctively felt something major was happening and began pounding on the door. Another bodyguard sent a message to Charles.
Ignoring the noise at the door, Daphne grabbed a towel nearby and stuffed it into Tony's mouth just as he was about to cry for help.
Tony tried crying out loud but couldn't. His eyes filled with terror. He had no idea why he had offended this person and had never heard of someone like Daphne being around Lydia.
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Daphne." Daphne's tone was calm, but her presence was strong. "I used to be Lydia's personal bodyguard. Since I wasn't around, you took advantage. Now it's time for me to seek revenge for her."
Tony tried protested desperately, indicating that he didn't beat Lydia.
"She's not someone you can bully." Daphne noticed that the bathtub was filled with water and carried Tony into the bedroom, throwing him into the tub. "If you dare to imply or manipulate anyone to harm her, I will give you ten times the pain in return."
Through his pains and struggles, Tony wondered how a woman could be that strong. He struggled in the water, trying to break free, but his hands were bound by a necktie. Only his feet could move.
With his mouth firmly bound, rendering him unable to utter a word, every time Tony's nose brushed against the water, he felt a suffocating grip on his soul. It was his inaugural taste of despair, an overwhelming sensation that had never engulfed him.
"Do you hear me?" Daphne asked.
Filled with hatred, Tony quickly nodded his head. "Mm-hmm." Daphne lifted him out of the water.
Meanwhile, outside, Charles rushed over when he received the message that the room's door was locked and couldn't be opened. His eyes turned red with worry. The thought of that despicable scum possibly bullying Daphne made him want to kill.
In that moment, he forgot that Lydia had mentioned Daphne being her bodyguard. He only had the image of the gentle Daphne who needed him to solve everything in his mind. He had already made up his mind that, if Tony dared touch her even with a finger, he would definitely chop him up and feed him to the dogs!
"Boss."
"Kick the door open!"
"We can't kick it open..." The bodyguards had already tried and sounded uncertain.
Charles stood, his hands clenched firmly by his sides, and with unwavering determination, he raised his foot, delivering a mighty, thunderous kick to the door. The impact reverberated through the surroundings, leaving an indelible mark.
Mark watched all of this silently, sighing in his heart. The boss claimed to like Miss Baker, but he always made Mark handle the messages, using the agreement with Mrs. Lancelot as an excuse.
He said he didn't like Mrs. Lancelot, but whenever it involved her, he would go out of his way to pay attention, especially if there was any danger.
Another resounding "Bang!" echoed through the air as the door emitted a thunderous noise, causing the door to swing open this time.
Charles took a step forward with his long legs and walked into the bedroom. The scene he had imagined, didn't appear. Instead, he found Daphne calm and composed, and Tony in a disheveled state.
His heart, which had been held up, suddenly dropped when he saw that Daphne was fine. His tense body relaxed as well. Only then did he remember what Lydia had said. “Daphne used to be her bodyguard.”
"Mr. Lancelot..." Tony had been released and was almost scared out of his wits when he saw Charles.
What was once a simple matter had now turned into this. He couldn't even imagine the consequences.
"Get lost!" Charles coldly shouted.
Tony wiped the water off his face and quickly left. Daphne watched his departing figure and reminded him, "Remember what I just told you, don't forget."
Tony paused for a moment, holding back his anger. He had already decided that when he got out, he would find someone to teach Daphne a lesson! He wanted to see her begging on her knees!
Daphne knew exactly what he was thinking. That's why she let him go after deliberately tormenting him, so that he would slip up and provide evidence to put him away.
"Boss, is Mrs. Lancelot, okay?" Mark asked at the doorway after Tony left, observing his boss's appearance.
Charles didn't say anything. He walked into the bedroom, and slummed the door. Mark instantly understood and went to close the door that his boss had kicked open earlier. Due to the considerable damage, he had to do it manually.
Inside the room, the ambience of the dim light and the aroma of the incense stimulated one's senses. Daphne remained calm throughout. Now that Tony had left, she felt it was time to go back and meet Lydia. "Excuse me," she said.
"Excuse what?" Charles ground his teeth and came out. Due to his excessive worry, his words now carried a chilly tone. "Have you forgotten that you were a gift from Tony?"
"Since I’m a gift, you should have the appropriate gratitude," Charles was genuinely angry. Just the thought of her possibly going through all that after their divorce felt like a heavy stone pressing on his heart.
She deserved to be taught a lesson.
