Chapter 513 The Clever Louis

Diana's brow scrunched up a bit. 'Is he serious?'

Lon caught Diana's look and, with a serious face, told Gilbert, "They ain't gonna spill."

"We don't know that." Gilbert was clearly being a pain.

"Do we need to sign some hush-hush agreement with you?" Louis chimed in.

Anyone who knew him well would know he said this just to shut people up.

A four-year-old kid, even if they signed something, it wouldn't mean squat legally.

Louis knew this, and so did Gilbert.

So, Gilbert naturally said, "Given your age, even if you signed, it wouldn't hold up in court."

As soon as he said this, Louis, Diana, and Lon all stared at Gilbert.

"The door's over there." Louis's round eyes were ice-cold. "Don't let it hit you on the way out."

Gilbert wondered if Louis was really just four years old.

"If you're really worried about this, we are done here," Lon said, his voice still kiddish but pretty firm. "I got stuff to do this afternoon and no time to waste here with you."

"You and Noe come back with me to the Fisher family," Gilbert said, each word clear. "I'll give you the best schools and living conditions."

"I already said no," Lon shot back.

Gilbert's gaze didn't waver. "I haven't finished."

Lon was waiting for him to go on. So were Louis and Diana, their eyes glued to Gilbert.

"You know how hard your mom's busting her butt right now." Gilbert hit where it hurt. "If you come back with me, I'll give your mom a villa close to where I live along with $10 million."

Lon hesitated. Over the years, Hestia had worked multiple jobs to support them and give them a good life. She was busy until late at night every day and had to get up super early the next morning.

"She can also come visit you," Gilbert added.

"Don't agree," Diana, sharp as a tack, said in her sweet, kiddie voice. "He's lying to you!"

Gilbert frowned a bit. "Why do you say that?"

"The upkeep for a villa near you is crazy expensive." Diana knew her stuff. "Even with $10 million, it wouldn't last long."

Some villa communities had various fees that could be a few hundred or a few thousand bucks a month.

But those near the Fisher family? Not cheap at all.

After all, the fancier the villa community, the more amenities, and the pricier everything got.

Gilbert stayed calm. "She can sell the house and buy a regular one for a few million."

"She won't be able to sell it." Louis dropped the truth bomb.

If Lon really agreed, the villa would be a burden on Hestia.

If it were just a villa Hestia bought, selling it wouldn't be a problem. Gedser has no shortage of rich folks.

But this was Gilbert's deal, and knowing him, he wasn't exactly a saint.

"Mr. Fisher, instead of a house, why not just give cash?" Louis started setting a trap. "If you give Hestia $30 million, Lon can go live with you."

Lon wondered why he should even consider going back with Gilbert.

Gilbert's eyes narrowed. "Can you make that call?"

"If you agree, I can help convince Lon," Louis said, dead serious.

There was a hint of Benjamin's vibe in him.

Lon frowned, about to speak when Diana squeezed his hand and gave him a warm smile.

"Besides him, I also want Noe," Gilbert added, his cold eyes showing no emotion.

"Fine, double the amount."

"No problem."

"Have your assistant draft an agreement." Louis was slick with this kind of stuff.

Gilbert's gaze was hard to read. "Can you really decide?"

"Yes," Louis said with certainty.

Gilbert glanced at Lon, then called his assistant in to draft a new agreement.

While they were hashing this out, Lon frowned and asked, "When did I say I was going back with him?"

"Don't you want to help your mom make bank?" Louis said.

Lon was puzzled. "What do you mean?"

"Just go live at his place for a bit; it's not like you're giving him custody." Louis, young as he was, already knew how to play the game. "Isn't making $60 million a sweet deal?"

Diana and Louis were in sync. "Right!"

"Can we really do that?" Lon was skeptical.

"Why not?" Louis said directly. "When you get the agreement, just keep it."

Lon looked at Louis with doubt.

After a while, Gilbert came back with the new agreement.

He put the agreement on the table but looked at Louis. "Check it out. Is there anything else?"

"It doesn't matter if I check it out; Hestia has to see it." Louis's childish voice was serious as always. "To show good faith, you should first transfer $60 million to Hestia's account, marked as a voluntary gift."

Gilbert was surprised. How did Louis know so much?

"If I transfer the money and Hestia doesn't agree to let them come with me, won't I get nothing?" Gilbert said seriously.

"Don't worry," Lon suddenly spoke, catching on to Louis's plan. "If you transfer the money, I'll go back with you after I talk to my mom."

Gilbert hesitated, clearly unsure about this decision.

"Your mom won't agree," Gilbert said.

"I'll find a way to persuade her," Lon said seriously, starting to scheme with Louis and Diana.

Logically, Gilbert wouldn't make such a hasty decision.

But the other party was a kid, he thought Lon wouldn't deceive him, so he agreed and transferred $30 million to Hestia, marked as a voluntary gift.

It wasn't $60 million because he hadn't talked to Noe yet.

"Alright." Gilbert showed them the transfer record. "Can we go see your mom now?"

"Mom isn't off work yet. We'll go back at six." Lon was thinking about Hestia. "You wait downstairs, and I'll take this up to talk to mom."
