Chapter 715 I Don't Have That Preference
"When do you plan to come to my house and talk to my parents about getting married?" Diana asked Caspian as they sat on the bed together, holding his arm. "Or are you planning to just go ahead and get the marriage paperwork done with me?"
Caspian raised his hand and knocked on her forehead.
Diana covered her head. "What was that for?"
"Confession, dating, proposal, engagement, marriage, preparing for pregnancy, pregnancy," Caspian said steadily. "These steps can't be out of order."
Diana's eyes shifted. "I'll listen to you."
Caspian was about to remind Diana of something else when his phone vibrated.
Seeing that it was Louis calling, his eyes flickered, then answered the call.
Diana asked curiously, "What's up?"
"Louis is here," Caspian said as he stood up, hung up the phone, and walked out.
Diana was even more puzzled. So what if Louis came? It wasn't a big deal. Why did it feel like Benjamin and Daphne were coming?
While Diana was still confused, Caspian opened the door and invited Louis into his home.
Louis immediately saw Diana coming out of the room and gave her a once-over to make sure nothing had happened between her and Caspian, feeling a bit relieved.
"Are you two together now?" Louis asked them.
Diana walked over, holding Caspian's hand to give him a sense of security. "Yes!"
"When are you going to Gedser?" Louis asked Caspian, looking at him.
Caspian's eyes showed a bit of emotion as he answered, "In two months."
It wasn't appropriate to go to Gedser to see Benjamin and Daphne right now, especially if Diana was just acting on a whim.
"Why two months? The company isn't busy lately." Diana looked at Caspian in confusion, a suspicion forming in her mind. "Do you not want to marry me soon?"
Caspian wanted to explain but didn't know where to start.
"You two just got together; meeting the parents now is indeed a bit early," Louis explained for Caspian.
Diana thought, 'wasn't it Louis who asked Caspian when they were going to Gedser?'
Louis understood Diana's look and continued talking to her without changing his expression, "Your boyfriend asked me to take you home."
"I'm staying here tonight," Diana blurted out.
Louis's eyes darkened, clearly not wanting Diana to move in with someone right after starting a relationship.
Even though Caspian had good character, living together posed too many risks. What if something happened?
"You should go home tonight," Caspian said proactively. He needed time to process tonight's events. "Come over in a few days when I've got everything ready."
"Alright," Diana agreed.
Louis thought, 'Are these two not taking him seriously, talking about living together right in front of him?'
"You're not going to let another girl move in, are you?" Diana asked.
Caspian promised, "No, only you."
Diana stood on her tiptoes and planted a kiss on his lips.
Feeling Diana's soft red lips, Caspian's ears turned red. He never expected Diana to kiss him in front of Louis.
Louis was already getting angry. It was bad enough they insisted on being together, and now they were kissing in front of him!
"I'll come find you tomorrow," Diana said to Caspian before leaving, showing him plenty of care and love. "Wait for me at home; I'll come to take you to work."
"Okay," Caspian agreed to everything.
They lingered a bit longer before Diana left with Louis.
After seeing them off, Caspian sat on the couch, replaying everything that happened today in his mind, feeling like it was a dream.
Caspian thought he would have an emotional outburst and scare Diana away.
But instead, his emotions were soothed by her, something he never expected.
Diana sent Caspian a message: [Caspian, you can trust me, rely on me, and be with me without worrying that I'll leave you, because from the beginning, the person I liked was you.]
Looking at this message, Caspian's beautiful eyes softened. He pursed his lips and looked at it for a long time, finally making up his mind.
He decided to take a gamble. If he won, he would get what he wanted. If he lost, it would just be a mess.
Caspian's fingers moved slightly as he replied: [Okay.]
Receiving this message, Diana's eyes curved with happiness.
Seeing Diana like that, Louis frowned and said word by word, "Do you need a mirror to see what expression you have right now?"
"This is the expression of someone in love," Diana replied. "You wouldn't understand."
"Have you forgotten I have videos of you from when you were a kid?" Louis said slowly, his deep voice carrying a hint of threat. "If Caspian saw those..."
"I was wrong!" Diana quickly said.
Caspian was already sensitive. If he knew she had boasted about marrying Lon when she was a kid, who knows how he would react.
Caspian should never see those videos.
"What did you do wrong?" Louis didn't believe Diana knew her mistake.
"I shouldn't have implied you're single and don't understand love," Diana said seriously, though she really didn't know what she did wrong. "You're so smart; even if you haven't been in a relationship, you surely understand."
Louis shook his head. "Wrong."
Diana guessed, "I shouldn't be too smug."
Louis still replied, "No."
"Then what is it?" Diana racked her brain but couldn't figure it out.
"When you were leaving, what did you do in front of me with Caspian?" Louis kindly reminded her.
Diana thought for a moment, then tentatively asked, "Kiss?"
Louis didn't speak, which was an acknowledgment.
"That's not something shameful," Diana said, puzzled by why Louis was angry. She even gave an example. "Dad often gives Mom goodbye kisses in front of us, doesn't he?"
Louis had more emotions in his heart. Didn't he know goodbye kisses were normal?
What Louis cared about was that on the first day of their relationship, even the first hour, they were talking about living together and kissing in front of him.
"Don't be mad," Diana tried to soothe him, her words light and natural. "When you have a girlfriend, I'll let you kiss in front of me twice. If twice isn't enough, ten times will do, until you're satisfied."
Louis's aura turned cold.
If it weren't for the fact that the person in the passenger seat was Diana, he would have thrown her out already.
"Still mad?" Diana noticed his change in mood.
"I don't have that preference," Louis retorted. "Don't do that in front of me again."
