Chapter 360 No One Can Outsmart Him!

Summer and Daphne kept chatting.

Sensing the moment was right, Summer bit her lip and awkwardly said, "Sorry for what I did before, going against you and badmouthing you."

"It's all in the past," Daphne replied coolly.

Daphne either retaliated if she cared or ignored it if she didn't.

"If my mom comes to you, be careful," Summer warned after some thought. "She knows about this and supports it. I'm worried she might harm you."

"Okay," Daphne said.

Summer felt relieved.

Before Sophia got involved with Alexander, Summer was just an ordinary girl. But Alexander's generosity changed everything. He bought them whatever they wanted and even provided a place with servants.

This new lifestyle made Summer believe she'd join the Murphy family and high society. She started looking down on others and lost motivation until she met Daphne, the true Murphy heir. After a few interactions, Summer realized she was just an ordinary person.

From Daphne, she learned that true high society wasn't about money and superiority but about knowledge, understanding, and seeing oneself as just another person.

"But don't worry too much," Summer said. "I'll talk to my mom and end her dream of marrying me into a wealthy family."

Once that dream was gone, Sophia would stop thinking about it.

"Marrying into a wealthy family doesn't guarantee happiness," Daphne, familiar with that world, said. "Most wealthy families value compatibility. If the man doesn't love the woman enough, she'll have a hard time."

Daphne had seen such situations. At seventeen, she once saw a girl crying at a restaurant. She comforted her and learned the girl was being ostracized by her husband's family, who belittled her in front of others.

Daphne suggested divorce, but the girl refused. Daphne offered to find her the best lawyer, but the girl still refused. What she said stuck with Daphne.

"I'm just hurt by their words, but I'll get over it. Being talked about won't kill me. If I don't get a divorce, I won't have to worry about money. If I do, I won't have a big house or a comfortable life."

Daphne said nothing more. Everyone makes their own choices, and since they were strangers, she didn't interfere further.

"I know," Summer replied. "I plan to sell the house Alexander gave us, buy a three-bedroom apartment, and live a normal life with her."

That money would be enough for them to live comfortably.

Daphne just hummed in response. It was their right to handle what Alexander had given them.

"Thanks, Daphne," Summer said with a warm smile. "You helped me find myself again."

"You figured it out yourself," Daphne said calmly. "Thank yourself."

Summer smiled, grabbed her bag, said goodbye, and left after paying the bill.

Daphne stood up and walked out. Outside, she saw Charles, tall and handsome, waiting.

"What are you doing here?" Daphne asked.

"Waiting for you," Charles replied.

"Let's eat first," Daphne said, leading him to lunch.

After lunch, they went back. Charles spent the afternoon in his room, doing who knew what.

Daphne got a call from Emma, inviting her out. She told Charles before leaving, but he said nothing.

When she arrived, she found Kevin there too.

Daphne thought it was just a casual hangout until Emma asked, "Guess who Benjamin likes?"

Daphne thought, 'How should I know?'

"I talked with Kevin, and we think it's you," Emma said, testing Daphne's reaction.

Kevin chimed in, "Yeah!"

"Why do you think that?" Daphne asked, already having an inkling but still surprised.

"Last night, Benjamin called, but your phone was busy with a call from Charles," Emma said, pushing Daphne to face the issue. "Doesn't your phone have call notifications? Check if there's a message."

"Is there?" Emma pressed.

"Yes," Daphne admitted.

"So what do you think?" Emma continued. "With Benjamin's personality, if he doesn't succeed this time, he'll try again. Are you planning to reject him or accept him?"

Kevin and Emma exchanged a glance, and Kevin said, "Reject him."

Daphne paused. "Huh?"

"Benjamin is so strict with us. Who knows if he'll be the same with you if you get together," Kevin said. "It's better to reject him."

"I think so too," Emma agreed.

"Benjamin is skilled and smart," Emma said seriously. "If you're with him, he'll probably set traps for you every day, making you suffer."

"He's not that kind of person," Daphne instinctively defended.

Daphne used to think that way, but recently she noticed Benjamin was quite considerate.

"You haven't been with him, so how do you know?" Emma said. "Remember how exhausted we were when he trained us?"

"That was to keep us from getting hurt on missions," Daphne explained.

"Stop making excuses for him," Kevin joined in. "Benjamin is too cunning; no one can outsmart him!"
