Chapter 512 Record Your Childhood

Louis actually did that While Diana was chatting away, he was busy recording the whole thing on video.

Diana didn't even notice him until she hung up. "Louis, what the heck are you doing?"

"Just capturing some childhood memories," Louis said, trying to keep a straight face.

"Can you also record when I hang out with Lon?" Diana asked, all serious. "That way, when I miss him, I can just watch the videos."

Normally, Louis would've shut that down, thinking Diana was way too into Lon.

But now, he had a different take on things.

He figured Diana wouldn't be into Lon for the next decade or two.

As soon as another cute guy showed up, Lon would be history.

So, getting some footage of Diana's cringy moments seemed like a good idea.

"Sure," he said.

"Really?" Diana was so stoked she almost jumped. She didn't expect Louis to say yes.

Louis stayed cool. "Yep."

"I'm meeting Lon tomorrow afternoon," Diana said, her eyes lighting up. "Make sure your phone's charged so you can record us."

Louis looked a bit worried. "Tomorrow?"

"Yeah!" Diana said, all serious. "Lon said Gilbert messaged him and wants to meet up. I'm worried Gilbert might be a jerk, so I told Lon I'd go with him."

"Did you tell Gavin?" Louis asked.

Diana fidgeted, feeling a bit guilty. "Not yet."

She had just finished talking to Lon and hadn't had the chance to tell him.

"You can't keep doing this," Louis let her off easy, already planning to record her embarrassing moments. "You need to tell me or Gavin before you go anywhere. No more acting first and telling us later."

"Got it!" Diana agreed, all cheerful.

After they talked it out, Louis told her to get some rest.

Since Gavin had been looking after them lately, Louis went to find him and fill him in.

Gavin was already pretty confident in Louis and Diana. "Do you need me to come with you?"

"No," Louis said. Even though he was young, he was pretty sharp. "If Gilbert wants to talk to Lon, he probably doesn't want adults around. Diana and I can handle it."

"Alright." Gavin didn't argue. "But there's one condition."

Louis looked a bit confused.

Gavin got straight to the point. "A bodyguard has to come with you."

"Okay," Louis agreed quickly.

With a bodyguard, Gavin would feel better, and so would Daphne and Benjamin.

After they sorted things out, Louis got ready for bed.

Gavin checked the time and saw it wasn't even nine yet. He shot a message to Daphne.

The gist was that Louis and Diana were pretty special. One was super mature, and the other knew from a young age how to get close to the boy she liked.

When Daphne saw the message, she had just finished lunch with Benjamin. She hadn't had time to reply when Benjamin saw what it said.

"Diana's personality is like yours, isn't it?" Daphne asked, all serious.

Benjamin raised an eyebrow, his deep voice smooth as silk. "Are you sure?"

Who else? If she remembered right, she hadn't been into anyone at a young age.

"Who was it that wouldn't let go of my hand the first time she saw me at two years old?" Benjamin reminded her, his voice like honey.

Daphne tried to argue. "Diana is four."

"There's not much difference between four and two," Benjamin said, dead serious. "Plus, her liking for good-looking things is just like you."

Daphne went quiet; she couldn't argue with that.

She'd always had a thing for good-looking stuff and people since she was a kid.

"There's nothing wrong with it," Daphne tried to save face, flipping the script. "Good-looking things are easy on the eyes."

Benjamin smiled slightly, with a hint of indulgence.

They didn't dwell on it and planned to chill before their afternoon plans.

After chatting with Daphne and Benjamin, Gavin put away his phone and went to rest.

Even though he said he wouldn't go with Louis and Diana tomorrow, he couldn't really let them go alone.

He'd follow them on the down-low.

The next day, after Louis and Diana finished their training class, they grabbed lunch and went to find Lon.

The three kids met up at a coffee shop.

When Gilbert showed up, he saw Louis off to the side, flipping through a magazine, while Diana was chatting away with Lon.

For a second, Gilbert thought Gavin might be there too.

But after looking around, he didn't spot anyone sketchy.

"Gilbert's here," Diana was the first to notice and told Lon.

Lon's happy face turned cold as soon as he saw Gilbert.

Anyone with eyes could see he wasn't a fan of Gilbert.

Gilbert had his assistant wait outside. He walked in with a document and headed over to the kids.

"Didn't we agree to meet alone?" Gilbert glanced at Diana and Louis, his tone flat. "Why are they here?"

"You can bring an assistant, but I can't bring friends?" Lon's young voice was clear and sharp.

Gilbert sat down, his suit perfectly tailored, giving off a cold vibe.

But Diana and Louis, being used to Benjamin, Evan, and Gavin, weren't fazed.

"Friends are allowed," Gilbert said slowly, with a hint of frost. "But I don't want anyone else hearing our conversation besides these two."

Louis got what Gilbert meant right away and said calmly, "Mr. Fisher, you can relax. Gavin didn't come."

That one line made Gilbert take another look at Louis.

Last time they met, Louis hadn't said much, and Gilbert thought he was just a regular kid.

Now it seemed, Louis was anything but regular.

"Just because he didn't come doesn't mean you won't tell him about this," Gilbert said, testing Louis.
