Chapter 230 Thoughtful Lydia

Daisy was silent for a moment but decided to listen to Daphne. "Okay."

"Take care of yourself, don't worry about the Hill family." Daphne hoped she would be well. "You only need to think about whether you like this child and if you're ready to be a mom."

"Daphne." Daisy's nose tingled with emotion.

Daphne was always gentle with girls. "What's wrong?"

"Thank you."

"You're welcome," Daphne responded, suggesting, "After you divorce Austin, I can assist you in finding a new place, transitioning to a new agency, and distancing you from anything associated with the Hill family."

"Okay." Daisy agreed.

Daphne comforted her a bit more before hanging up.

Pregnant women need to be surrounded by love. What Austin couldn't give Daisy, she could.

Life didn't have to be filled with love to be lived well. Family, friendship, and the courage to keep going can make life wonderful.

After hanging up, she continued to lie there and soak up the sun.

As evening approached, she revisited the study to sort out the problems Abigail had caused, ensuring Luke could easily grasp them. When she completed the task, it was already past nine in the evening.

After saying goodnight to Lydia and Alexander, she took a bath and lay down on the bed.

Her routine was usually very regular.

The next morning.

While having breakfast with Alexander and Lydia, Alexander received a call from Summer. She expressed her desire to meet with Alexander and them. Alexander had the call on speaker, and upon hearing the request, he glanced at Daphne and Lydia, saying, "Not today, I have some things to attend to."

"But today is Mom's birthday." Summer's voice came through. "Are you really not coming?"

Alexander paused.

He didn't know how to respond.

If he went, he would feel guilty towards Daphne and Lydia, as he had promised to spend this vacation with them.

But today was indeed Sophia's birthday.

"Mom went out early to buy a lot of groceries, especially for you, Daphne, and Lydia," Summer continued, sounding slightly forlorn. "If you don't come, all that food will go to waste."

Alexander was about to refuse.

Daphne spoke up, "We'll come over later."

Alexander and Lydia were stunned.

Summer was taken aback too when she heard this.

Daphne didn't like her and Sophia; she knew that, so why would she agree to come over?

"Daphne?" Alexander was a bit puzzled.

"Since we don't have much to do today, heading over there won't consume much time," Daphne pondered, contemplating additional factors.

In the past, she might have been selfish like any other child, thinking Alexander belonged to her, Lydia, and her mom, Layla.

But after learning about Alexander and Layla's past, she felt more sympathy for them.

She had also learned to let go.

As long as Sophia and Summer didn't target the Murphy Group or harm her family, she could accept other things.

The Murphy Group was built by Alexander and Layla's marriage.

She wouldn't let anyone covet it.

Lydia's eyes sparkled like a fairy's. "Daphne, are we really going?"

"Yes."

"Really?" Alexander also asked.

Daphne nodded. "Really."

Seeing her so serious, Alexander gave Summer an answer. "We'll come over later."

"Great! Mom and I will be waiting for you," Summer said quickly.

After hanging up, she told Sophia about it.

Sophia was just as surprised, her tone light. "Did Daphne really agree to this?"

"Yes." Summer didn't hide it. "She agreed, and then Uncle Alexander and Lydia said they would come."

Sophia didn't say anything.

Summer stood there obediently; she was quite obedient to her mother.

From now on, you must establish a good relationship with Daphne and Lydia, but don't seem too eager," Sophia said earnestly. "If Daphne approves, I can marry your Uncle Alexander."

"But I already offended Daphne before." Summer was worried.

"Everyone makes mistakes, just behave well from now on," Sophia talked to her, "This time, don't mess up."

Summer pinched her sleeve. "Okay."

Sophia looked at her, intending to say more, but in the end, she just sighed heavily.

She didn't delay and started preparing lunch.

Lunch for five people.

She still had a lot to do.

Daphne was still having breakfast when Lydia, brimming with curiosity, asked softly, "Daphne, didn't you used to dislike them? Why did you agree to go for lunch?"

Alexander also looked at Daphne upon hearing this.

He was curious too.

"Ms. Hayes is Dad's current girlfriend," Daphne said simply, "It's her birthday, Dad should go."

Lydia's eyes flickered.

Alexander felt distressed.

He wished Daphne didn't have to be so understanding.

"I won't stay long." Daphne made it clear. "I'll leave shortly after lunch."

Normally, she wouldn't go.

But this time, she decided to confront Sophia.

The situation between her and Alexander couldn't linger indefinitely. Eventually, individuals within their social circle would begin to speculate about whether Sophia was Alexander's mistress.

That wouldn't be good for Alexander's reputation.

"If you don't want to go, you don't have to. Don't force yourself," Alexander said after some consideration.

"I'm not pushing myself." Daphne finished her milk and resolved to inform Alexander in advance. "I mainly plan to discuss your situation with her. She needs to determine whether she will remain with you.."

Alexander knew Daphne wouldn't act recklessly, so he agreed. "Okay."

In fact.

He knew what Daphne wanted to talk about.

Some things were better said by her than by him.

Lydia saw how serious their conversation was and swallowed back what she wanted to say.

She would find another opportunity to bring it up.

If she mentioned it now, Daphne and Alexander probably wouldn't agree.

After breakfast, Alexander called someone to send the gift he prepared for Sophia.

Around ten o'clock.

The driver drove them over.

When they arrived, Summer ran over like an innocent girl, happily welcoming them. "Uncle Alexander, Daphne, Lydia,, please come in."

Daphne frowned slightly.

She still didn't like Summer calling them so affectionately.

"Okay," Lydia said, smiling innocently, "Let's just interact normally, no need to be so formal."

"Okay," Summer responded.

Daphne raised an eyebrow, a bit surprised by Lydia's words.

Lydia glanced sideways and winked mischievously, as if saying, "Tell me I'm thoughtful."

Daphne raised her hand and ruffled her hair.
