Chapter 682 I Am Certain, I Love You

The words "I will" were like a spell, lingered in Lon's mind.

Even though he knew it was just a game, his heart found a moment of satisfaction in that answer.

"Louis," Diana went straight to Louis. "Help me win the next game, and follow my dare instructions."

Louis always indulged her in these matters. "Okay."

Eddy accused Diana, "You're cheating!"

"How am I cheating?" Diana retorted, meeting his gaze with confidence. "When choosing a member for truth or dare, others can give suggestions."

Eddy wanted to argue but realized Diana was right.

In the end, Eddy could only whisper to Louis, "I'm doing this for Diana's happiness. You can't help her mess with me, right?"

"She's my sister," Louis said.

"Can't you cut me some slack?" Eddy knew Louis had played the next game twice before and might lose to him. "Or do you prefer her to be with Caspian over Lon?"

Louis certainly didn't want that.

Caspian had disappeared for so many years without any response, Louis didn't believe he could make Diana happy.

If it weren't for Benjamin and Daphne saying they wouldn't interfere with Diana's choices, Louis wouldn't have let her go to Ivrea City to find Caspian.

"Give me a break, will you?" Eddy, who had been so arrogant before, was now utterly humble. "If I tell my mom I got a girl pregnant, she'll kill me!"

"Good luck," Louis said.

Eddy looked utterly defeated.

When the game officially started, everyone was fully engaged. When it was Louis's turn, he gave it his all, but Eddy was luckier. Louis's phone rang midway through.

The ringtone was a special one Louis had set for Daphne, and when it rang, Louis made a mistake.

In a game where every second counted, that brief mistake gave Eddy the upper hand.

When it ended, Eddy's forehead was covered in sweat, his heart racing. "That scared me to death."

"I need to take a call," Louis said, stepping out with his phone. "You guys keep playing."

Eddy was immensely grateful for that call and felt quite smug in front of Diana.

Seeing him like this, Diana really wanted to punch him. If it weren't for Daphne's call, she would have won.

"Want to play again?" Eddy was now very pleased. "If I win the next round, I'll make you and Lon hold hands and be a couple for the night."

"No," Diana hadn't expected Eddy to think of that. "Lon, let's go back."

Lon always pampered her. "Okay."

"Wait a minute," Eddy remembered there was one last thing to do and stopped them. "I haven't chosen someone for the dare yet."

Diana paused. She had already decided that if Eddy dared to make her and Lon hold hands and be a couple for the night, she would call Eddy's parents.

After all, compared to Eddy saying it himself, Diana's words were more credible. In his parents' eyes, she was very well-behaved.

"I won't make you do a dare," Eddy's gaze fell on Lon, starting the most crucial part of the game. "Lon, answer this: when you confessed to Diana earlier, was it your true feelings?"

Lon frowned slightly.

Eddy explained, "In other words, have you always wanted to say those words to Diana?"

"Of course not," Diana didn't even think before explaining for him. "That's obvious."

"I'm not asking you," Eddy looked at Lon, hoping he would be brave. "I'm asking Lon."

Diana didn't think there was anything worth asking.

At that moment, she did feel a bit swayed by Lon's sincerity and deep feelings, but she had already tested it before.

"Is that so?" Eddy asked again.

Lon lied, "No."

"This is truth or dare, you have to tell the truth," Eddy reminded him, adding, "If you don't tell the truth, the punishment is severe."

Lon's eyes showed a hint of coldness, clearly displeased with Eddy's actions.

"Lon already said no. Why are you still pressing?" Diana believed Lon was telling the truth. "Lon doesn't like me. Stop projecting your imagination onto others."

"I have evidence," Eddy said.

"Let's not bother with him." Diana pulled Lon away, treating Eddy's words as nonsense.

Eddy watched them leave and sighed quietly.

Eddy took out his phone and sent Lon a message, with a hint of earnestness: [This was your only chance to tell her. Why didn't you take it?]

Lon didn't check his phone, he was still with Diana.

"Don't take Eddy's words to heart. He's unreliable, not just once or twice," Diana tried to comfort Lon, worried he might be upset. "If today's events or Eddy's words cause any misunderstanding with your girlfriend, I can..."

"I have no girlfriend," Lon's hoarse voice suddenly spoke.

Diana was stunned. "What?"

"No girlfriend," Lon repeated, his complex eyes filled with emotion. "I lied to you before."

Lon had made up his mind. Regardless of the outcome, he should tell Diana his feelings.

At least he would have tried for this love.

Diana paused. "But before you..."

"Before, I said that to avoid making you suspicious," Lon confessed, feeling less nervous after saying it, "Otherwise, with your intelligence, you would have guessed I liked you."

Diana was taken aback, her mind in disarray, wanting to say something but not knowing what to say.

"Diana, I like you," Lon's hands were slightly sweaty from nervousness. "I've liked you since we were kids."

"There must be some misunderstanding," Diana bit her lip, trying to sort out his feelings. "Did you mistake your care and concern for me as romantic love?"

"I'm very certain, I love you." Lon's deep eyes looked at Diana, firmly confessing.
