Chapter 726 Lon is leaving

"Are you doing something behind my back that I should know about?" Diana knew Caspian wouldn't, but she said it to tease him. "I'm telling you, even though you're great and I really like you, I absolutely won't tolerate cheating."

"No," Caspian replied.

Diana pressed on, "Then what is it?"

Caspian hesitated about whether to tell her.

After much consideration, he decided to tell her.

She had been so good to him, understanding his previous insecurities and awkwardness. He had misunderstood her, and he should clarify things with her.

Five minutes later.

Caspian had shared all his thoughts.

Hearing this, Diana was a bit taken aback, standing there for a while, unable to process it.

So, her personality had become one of the reasons Caspian was avoiding her?

"I'm sorry..." Caspian, seeing her silence, felt anxious, fearing she might be angry. He still held her. "You can punish me however you want, just don't leave me."

"Even though I get along well with everyone, you are my only boyfriend." Diana wasn't angry; she just explained to him, fearing he might make the same mistake in the future. "From the beginning to the end, you're the only one I like, understand?"

Caspian now understood. "Got it."

Diana hugged him. She didn't blame Caspian.

Thinking from his perspective, if she were Caspian, she might also worry, fear, and feel insecure like he did, which was the reason he had hidden his heart from the start.

"Idiot," Diana scolded him affectionately.

Caspian accepted it all.

After this incident.

After this incident, their relationship made significant progress.

Caspian no longer felt as anxious as before. He went to work as usual and contacted Diana whenever he had free time.

In the blink of an eye, another week passed.

It was Friday.

Diana went to work with Caspian.

Seeing them holding hands, Alvin rubbed his eyes repeatedly, clearly surprised by this development.

Taking advantage of a break in his work report, Alvin took some documents to Caspian's office.

Caspian was working diligently, while Diana was watching a movie on the sofa.

They were each busy with their own business, accompanying each other while focusing on their own work.

"Alvin," Caspian's voice, tinged with a warning, sounded as he noticed Alvin staring at Diana several times, his expression clearly displeased.

Alvin immediately averted his gaze. "Yes, Mr. Garcia?"

"Leave."

"The documents haven't been signed yet."

"Come get them after work," Caspian ordered unceremoniously.

Alvin glanced at Diana again, nodded. "Okay."

After placing the documents down, Alvin walked out. As soon as he left the office, he sent Diana a message on Facebook: [Your relationship with Mr. Garcia seems different from before.]

Caspian saw this message.

Diana had left her phone with Caspian while watching the movie, asking him to handle some less important messages.

[Are you very free?] Caspian replied.

Alvin stared at his phone in confusion, not expecting this message to be from Diana.

In his impression, Diana was always someone who spoke nicely and was reliable. How come she was now acting like Caspian?

Could it be because they had been together for a long time?

Alvin replied: [No, just asking. Mr. Garcia never held hands with you before, but today he did. Congratulations.]

This simple sentence stirred some emotions in Caspian.

He didn't type anymore and directly sent a voice message, "Want to buy some drinks to celebrate?"

When the message was sent, Alvin had just returned to his office.

While browsing the information on his computer, he played Diana's voice message.

The moment the voice entered his ears, Alvin froze.

How did Diana's phone end up with Caspian?

Ignoring his shock and panic, he swallowed hard and sent a message: [Please forgive me.]

Caspian didn't reply, he continued with his work.

In the meantime, Lon called.

Seeing it was him, Caspian's eyes darkened. After some consideration, he suppressed the jealousy that had arisen and handed the phone to Diana. "It's for you."

"Who is it?" Diana asked casually.

Caspian pursed his lips, a bit emotional. "Lon."

Diana was momentarily stunned, her gaze shifting from the computer screen to him.

Caspian stood up and handed her the phone.

As she took the phone, Caspian felt a bit down but chose to give them space. "I'll go talk to Alvin. Come find me after the call."

Diana was about to say there was no need to avoid it, but Caspian had already left.

Looking at the caller ID on the screen, Diana swiped to answer, her voice sounding no different from usual, "Lon."

"When are you coming back to Gedser?" Lon's voice was gentle.

"Not sure yet," Diana replied honestly. "Probably by the end of the month."

"I'm leaving," Lon suddenly said, his voice as pleasant as ever. "Do you want to see me off with Caspian?"

Diana was a bit surprised. "Where to?"

"Abroad. The company is doing well there and needs a manager," Lon explained, his gentle voice as reassuring as a brother's. "Dad wants either Noe or me to go. Noe is busy here, so I'm going."

"Can you come back anytime?" Diana asked.

"Probably not for the next two years," Lon continued. "The work schedule there is tight, and I'll be quite busy."

"When are you leaving?"

"Next Wednesday."

"I'll check my schedule and let you know if I can come."

"Okay, I'll wait for you."

After their conversation, Diana felt a bit complicated.

After some thought, she sent a message to Louis: [Why is Lon suddenly going abroad? Doesn't the Fisher Group have someone managing the overseas branch?]

Louis replied: [To avoid a marriage arranged by Gilbert.]

Now that Diana was with Caspian, it meant Lon's crush was unrequited.

In their social circle, the unspoken rule was that Lon would eventually marry someone of equal status to maximize benefits.

This was not favored by their generation, and Lon was no exception.

Diana was puzzled, she typed: [Doesn't Gilbert care a lot about Lon and Noe? Why would he arrange a marriage for them?]
