Chapter 739 She Will Hate Me

Diana nodded. "Yes."

Lon couldn't hold back his thoughts any longer. After much consideration, he finally said, "I actually think he's very smart, leaving nothing to chance in every aspect."

Diana understood his meaning, her gaze fell on him, and she directly pointed out, "Are you referring to him getting drunk?"

"You know?" Lon was a bit surprised.

"I know," Diana admitted, placing her hands on the railing and enjoying the comfortable breeze. "He just lacks a sense of security and confidence, so he tries to test my love for him through various things."

Lon noticed her expression and asked a question, "Aren't you tired?"

"How could I be tired?" Diana genuinely liked Caspian, with consistent patience and love. "The more insecure he feels, the more I want to make him feel secure."

Hearing this, Lon's anxious heart eased a bit. But seeing her care so much about someone else, there was still a dull ache in his heart.

"Lon," Diana suddenly called him.

Lon was always gentle with her. "What is it?"

"Try to open your heart and see the world outside," Diana rationally talked to him, hoping he would be happy. "There are many great girls in this world, and you will meet the one who truly loves you."

Lon wanted to say there wouldn't be anyone , but in the end, he only said one word, "Okay."

"I'm serious," Diana knew what he was thinking and added, "You only like me because you've only been close to me since childhood. Once you interact with others, you'll discover a new world."

Since childhood, she had never seen Lon get close to other girls. As for Chloe, it was because of Diana that Lon and Chloe got along well.

"Okay," Lon still said the same word, then changed the topic, "One more thing."

Diana looked up, her voice slightly raised, "What is it?"

"The farewell party is canceled," Lon informed her. He still couldn't bear to see Caspian deliberately showing off their love in front of him. "Just come see me off on the day I leave."

"Why the change?" Diana paused.

"I want a few quiet days. Eddy and the others are too noisy." Lon found an excuse. "Anyway, I'll be back in a couple of years."

Diana didn't think much of it, knowing Lon's personality. "That's fine."

After chatting for a while, they each went their separate ways.

Lon originally wanted to have a meal with Diana, but she refused.

Her mind was all on Caspian now. He was sensitive, and if she had a meal with Lon while he was drunk, he would feel uncomfortable.

On her way back, Caspian woke up. Seeing the familiar hotel, his mind went blank for a moment. After resting for a while, he remembered what had happened before.

But because he was too drunk, his memory only stayed on Diana taking him to the car. After that, he couldn't remember anything.

"Awake?" Charles's voice suddenly sounded, steady and calm. "There's a note from Diana on the bedside table."

"Where is she?" Caspian rubbed his temples, feeling dizzy and uncomfortable.

Charles glanced at him with deep eyes and deliberately said, "She went out with Lon."

Caspian froze. His thoughts stopped for two seconds.

"Diana said you were very drunk over there?" Charles, having lived for decades, saw through things at a glance. "This is quite different from your usual behavior."

Caspian calmly replied, "Lon confessed to Diana and has a good relationship with her."

In other words, as her current boyfriend, he had to drink.

"Really? I think you got drunk on purpose to let them know about your relationship with Diana." Charles saw through it all.

Caspian paused, his beautiful eyes showing a hint of depth, and his voice became hoarse, "Is it obvious?"

"Not really," Charles said honestly.

Caspian leaned back on the bed, feeling a bit down. His mind was full of thoughts about whether Diana had noticed, and if she did, would she think he was too calculating?

"Get up and eat first." Charles stood up from the sofa, putting down the magazine in his hand. "Diana was worried you wouldn't have an appetite after waking up from drinking, so she specifically told the hotel kitchen to prepare your favorite dishes."

Caspian obediently got up. During the meal, his mind was a mess.

"Charles," Caspian couldn't hold back and called out.

Charles had already eaten and was sitting there keeping him company. "What's wrong?"

"Do you think Diana noticed?" Caspian asked, unconsciously gripping the spoon tightly, his heart in turmoil.

Charles knew what he was referring to. "What do you think?"

Given Diana's intelligence, seeing through this wasn't difficult, but the way she brought Caspian back didn't seem like she knew.

"I don't know." Caspian's heart was in chaos for the first time.

"If you're worried, just ask her directly," Charles advised him as someone with experience. "Or tell her why you did these things."

"She'll hate me." Caspian suddenly lost his appetite.

If Diana knew he had calculated so much, she would definitely dislike it.

He hadn't thought this far when he planned all this.

"She's not that kind of person." Charles understood Diana well, after all, she was his daughter. "She'll talk to you properly."

Caspian suddenly regretted his previous actions.

At this moment, Diana arrived. "I've been looking for you everywhere, and here you are eating." she ran over, sat opposite Caspian, and asked him, "Is the food good?"

Caspian nodded.

Diana smiled gently, "Then just eat as much as you want."

Seeing her like this, Caspian felt a strong sense of guilt. He suddenly wanted to tell her what he had done.

"What's wrong?" Diana noticed his change in mood and immediately showed concern.

"I want to ask you a question." Caspian always prepared himself mentally before confessing, anticipating the consequences. "If someone you care about played tricks on you, would you be angry?"

"Are you talking about yourself?" Diana didn't beat around the bush and directly said it.

Charles's meaningful eyes looked over.

Caspian froze, even his breathing stopped for a moment, as if he never expected her to say that.
