Chapter 763 The Grand Finale
For a moment, she wanted Caspian to propose to her.
But so far, he hadn't shown any intention in that regard, nor had he asked for her ring size.
No need to overthink it.
That idiot probably hadn't realized it.
She didn't blame him; everyone has their own way of loving.
But because of this, she wanted to propose to him, to let him know that she truly cared about him.
"What's wrong?" Chloe asked her worriedly.
"Troubled." Diana propped her head up; she had been troubled about the ring size for a while.
Chloe asked her, "Because of what we just talked about?"
Diana nodded, "Yes."
"Why do you want to propose to him so much?" Chloe glanced at a certain spot in the dark, chatting with her as usual, "Isn't it the boyfriend who proposes to the girlfriend in most relationships?"
"I want him to feel loved," Diana said simply.
Caspian was different from most people; he always suppressed his negative emotions to free himself.
Because of love, he didn't want to restrain her.
But she also wanted his love to be met with a strong response.
Proposing was the best way to respond, representing that he was in her heart, and her future was with him.
Chloe hesitated.
She could hardly contain her urge to tell her that Caspian had already prepared a proposal for her.
A few days ago, Caspian had gathered a few of them and Diana's family into a group and sent a proposal plan, asking them to keep it a secret.
Today, he had even flown to Gedser early to check everything he had prepared and give Diana a surprise.
"What kind of sad excuse do you think I should come up with to get him to drink with me and get him drunk?" Diana sought their opinions.
Chloe shook her head, "I don't know."
Coco gave the same answer.
"He won't drink with you no matter what excuse you come up with," Eddy said sincerely, "He'll just hold you and comfort you."
The three of them all looked at him in unison.
It was as if they couldn't believe Eddy had said that.
"He knows that there will be no one to take care of you when you're upset if he gets drunk," Eddy added.
Chloe nodded in agreement, "That's true."
"So what should I do?" Diana was a bit troubled.
Eddy wasn't someone who could keep things to himself, especially since a certain person had already arrived. "Just ask him."
Diana was puzzled.
"Over there." Eddy nodded towards Caspian, who was sitting not far away.
Following his gaze, Diana saw Caspian in casual clothes sitting in a corner, almost out of sight due to a pillar blocking the view.
She paused for a moment, then happily ran over.
She wasn't worried that Caspian had heard their conversation; at that distance, it would be hard for him to hear.
"Why are you here!" Without caring about the others' gazes, Diana ran over, hugged him, and kissed him, "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I wanted to surprise you." Caspian's lips curved into a smile, his usually cool face softening.
He had heard her conversation with Eddy and the others.
It wasn't that he had good hearing; he had been on the phone with Eddy the whole time.
Diana smiled happily.
The next moment.
Caspian raised his hand and rubbed her head, his deep eyes filled with love for her. "You don't need to prepare a proposal for me; I'll take care of that."
"What proposal?" Diana pretended not to know anything.
"I heard everything you just said," Caspian said directly, not hiding it from her.
Diana instinctively looked at Chloe and the others.
How did Caspian hear from that far away?
Before she could ask, Caspian answered honestly, "Before I came, I asked Eddy where you were. After learning you were with them, I came over and stayed on the phone with Eddy until you arrived."
Diana's gaze fell on Eddy.
That guy!
He actually betrayed her.
"Don't look at me like that; your man made me do it." Eddy didn't expect Caspian to confess, so he quickly explained, "If I didn't agree, he would tell my current girlfriend about my past."
"Current girlfriend?" Diana looked puzzled.
Eddy confessed honestly, "My new girlfriend."
Eddy was good-looking.
Even in the entertainment industry, his mixed-race face was top-tier, naturally attracting many people for his looks and charm, which led to his habit of frequently changing girlfriends.
"I made my dating rules clear to her; there's no bad behavior involved." Eddy quickly added, seeing Diana's look.
Hearing this, Diana didn't say much more.
After a while.
Seeing that they had talked enough, Caspian took Diana's hand and left.
On the way back, Caspian deliberately talked to her about proposals, "What kind of proposal do you like?"
"Anything is fine." Diana replied.
Since Caspian knew, it meant her plan to propose was no longer feasible.
"I want to take an open-book exam." Caspian held her hand, his usually cool face showing more emotion, "I want to prepare the proposal you most look forward to deep down."
"As long as it's you proposing, I'll look forward to it," Diana said sincerely.
Caspian held her hand.
The car they were in continued to move forward.
Seeing the unfamiliar road, Diana asked him, "Where are we going?"
"To watch the sunset." Caspian replied, hiding his plan to propose that night, "There's a newly built villa with a great location for watching the sunset and stars."
"Great!" Diana was happy as long as she was with him.
Two hours later.
They arrived at their destination just as the sun was setting.
Diana rarely saw such stunning fiery clouds and sunsets, the afterglow of the evening sun casting a romantic light on them.
They sat there, watching the sunset, the sky darken, and the stars twinkle in the night sky.
"Let's go have dinner first." Caspian said calmly.
Diana didn't notice anything, "Okay!"
As soon as they stood up, several people approached, each holding a small bouquet of flowers.
Diana paused.
The next moment.
Caspian knelt on one knee, nervously taking out a ring to propose to her.
The proposal was so unexpected that Diana was filled with shock and surprise.
Even after she said yes, she was still a bit dazed.
"Didn't I promise to let you know his ring size by Friday? I kept my word." Charles came over and said, showing his care for her.
At that moment, Diana realized and said, "You knew he was going to propose and didn't tell me, playing favorites."
Charles smiled slightly, not explaining.
Not long after that day, Diana and Caspian got engaged, and Louis and Lyra registered their marriage.
A few months later, Caspian and Diana walked down the aisle, holding a grand wedding.
Watching the couple on stage, Louis asked Lyra, who was standing beside him, "Really not planning to have a wedding?"
"No." Lyra remained firm.
Louis didn't insist.
In the years that followed, he and Lyra became an enviable power couple.
Lyra's research achieved great success, and everyone said she was a capable and strong woman.
Only she knew that after a few years of marriage, when she and Louis fell in love, he pampered her like a little girl.
They said marriage was a gamble; she thought she was the lucky one.
