Chapter 280 Be Considerate. Don't Interrupt Others' Dates

Benjamin pulled out his phone, sent a quick text, and then turned to her. "I remember you always wanted to try paragliding."

Daphne was taken aback. Memories of their past conversations flooded back. She had always wanted to experience the thrill of paragliding, to soar through the sky and feel truly free. But it had been four years since her last flight.

"This place is a top-notch paragliding spot," Benjamin said, walking over. "Today’s perfect for it. It’s just you and me. You can really enjoy it."

"Benjamin..." Daphne hesitated.

"Go get changed," Benjamin said, taking the gear from Patrick and handing it to her. "Relax and have fun."

Daphne couldn't resist; the scenery was stunning. "Okay."

Patrick handed her the gear.

While Daphne was changing, Patrick nudged Benjamin. "Are you trying to impress her?"

"You're overthinking it," Benjamin brushed him off.

"If you're not, then why bring her here?" Patrick raised an eyebrow, his face full of mischief. "You said this place was off-limits. Feeling embarrassed now?"

Benjamin shot him a look and grabbed the gear from his hand.

Patrick followed, still prying. "Why the rush? Let's chat."

Seeing Benjamin's silence, Patrick sighed, deciding to let it go. "I promise I won't tell anyone."

"She's my boss," Benjamin said, not directly but enough. "I brought her here to relax."

If it were anyone else, he wouldn't hide his intentions. But Patrick was too nosy. Admitting it would mean Daphne getting bombarded with questions. He wanted her to relax, not deal with Patrick's curiosity.

Patrick put a hand on Benjamin's shoulder, a bit more serious. "You sure about that?"

"What's the problem?" Benjamin asked casually.

"What's the problem? Don't you know what your family does?" Patrick looked skeptical. "You said she's your boss? Come on, if you're not lying, I'll eat my hat."

"That would just ruin my shoes," Benjamin replied nonchalantly.

Patrick was speechless. Benjamin was indirectly mocking him!

Benjamin had already geared up. Daphne was almost ready, too, with her flight suit, gloves, goggles, and other essentials in place.

As they were about to take off, Patrick asked, "You sure you don't want me to guide her?"

"No need," Benjamin said.

"Think it over," Patrick insisted.

"She's as capable as any pilot," Benjamin knew Daphne's skills and that she didn't want a guide. "Mind your own business."

Patrick gave him a doubtful look but went to ask Daphne anyway.

Daphne also declined.

Seeing their confidence, he didn't push further. He geared up and joined them in the sky.

Even though he hated to admit it, Benjamin was dependable. If he said it was fine, Patrick wouldn't worry.

Once in the air, Daphne looked down at the misty mountains and felt completely at ease. Her stressed heart gradually relaxed.

She enjoyed every moment of the flight.

Benjamin stayed close, watching her unwind. He smiled faintly, his deep eyes reflecting a sense of peace.

The weather was perfect that day, and Daphne flew for two hours. By the end, all her worries had melted away; she felt completely at ease.

"Impressive," Patrick said, looking dashing as he changed out of his gear. He seized the moment to gossip with Benjamin. "Where did you find her? She's beautiful and a great flyer. Does she have a sister? Hook me up."

"Even if she does, it's none of your business," Benjamin replied calmly.

"Come on," Patrick said, wrapping his arm around Benjamin's shoulder. With our friendship, would you really let me live a lonely life?"

Benjamin saw Daphne walking over and casually said, "Her sister doesn't like older men."

Patrick was puzzled. Was he old?

"You talk as if you're very young," Patrick retorted.

This made Benjamin remember Daphne mentioning his age.

For a moment, he found Patrick annoying.

"Compared to you, I am young," he replied casually.

Patrick's lips twitched.

Benjamin was only a few days younger than him. Was he really that confident?

When Daphne arrived, they had just finished talking. Before she could speak, Benjamin said, "Let's head back."

"Aren't you catching up?" Daphne could tell Benjamin and Patrick were close.

"We don't need to catch up," Benjamin said seriously, "I've only known him two days longer than you."

Daphne glanced around. Really? It didn't seem that way.

"The others were just asking in the group chat when we would meet," Benjamin changed the subject as they walked to the car. "They're all asking about you."

Daphne paused. She had promised to meet the next day but had to cancel because Charles got shot.

She also missed her appointment with Emma and Zoey.

"If you're not in the mood, I can decline for you," Benjamin added.

"It's fine," Daphne had adjusted her mood. "I'll talk to them when we get back."

"Okay," Benjamin said.

They chatted as they got into the car.

Patrick stood there, dumbfounded, watching Benjamin ignore him and leave with Daphne.

He took out his phone and called. He decided to give Benjamin a piece of his mind.

They had agreed he would provide the venue, and Benjamin would treat him to a meal.

However, Benjamin left without even saying goodbye. He was heartless!

Benjamin started the car, and just as he was about to leave, his phone rang.

He glanced at it, saw it was from Patrick, squinted, and hung up without hesitation. He sent a message: [Be considerate and don't interrupt others' dates.]
