Chapter 31 Don't Want to Waste Time with You

Kevin furrowed his brow.
He didn't like attending various gatherings, simply because he didn't want to see his father in that state.
He knew that at business dinners, unless you held a high position, you had to know how to adapt to the environment. However, knowing it was one thing, and liking it was another.

Subconsciously.
His gaze turned towards Daphne.
Sure enough, staying by Daphne's side was the most comfortable.

"Aren't we going to a hotel?" Daphne shifted her gaze back to Tony, her eyes deep. "Let's go."

Everyone: "?"
Tony: "?"

Charles suddenly tightened his grip on his phone.
Only Kevin, with his eyes lowered eyes, quietly drank from his glass, not daring to say anything.
He was well aware that Daphne was up to something!

"Why panic? Don't think that climbing up Mr. Lancelot's tree will give you the upper hand." Tony felt uncomfortable with Daphne's words, as if he were a whoremonger. "To Mr. Lancelot, you're just a release."

Charles's eyes grew slightly deeper, his gaze fixed on Daphne's face.
Sometimes, he admired her for accepting such disparaging words without changing her expression.

"Mr. Lancelot," Tony resumed his obsequious tone, before leaving he tentatively said, "What about our collaboration?..."

"Mark will arrange it," Charles replied with a few words.

Tony became instantly delighted. "Thank you, Mr. Lancelot."

The most desired collaboration for everyone was between the Murphy Group and the Lancelot Group.

He wouldn't have a chance with the Murphy Group, but now he had a chance to collaborate with the Lancelot Group.!

As long as there was a future opportunity, Tony would definitely cultivate a close working relationship with Mr. Lancelot.

With these thoughts in mind, Tony left with Daphne.

Daphne cooperated throughout, knowing that she could clean up only after they arrived at the hotel Tony mentioned.
The people in the private room continued chatting for a while.

Ten minutes later.
Someone spoke up.

"Since Mr. Lancelot has something to attend to today, we won't disturb him further. "
"We can discuss the collaboration another day. "
"Mr. Lancelot, what do you think?"

Charles rose to his feet and cast a sweeping glance over the assembled group. "I'll appoint Taylor to handle the coordination for our potential collaboration. However, the feasibility of this partnership will hinge on the nature of the project itself." With these words lingering in the air, Charles strode away purposefully, his steps long and determined. With a sweep of his gaze, Charles stood up, scanning the group of people. "I will have Taylor coordinate the specific collaboration with you, but whether we can collaborate will depend on the project itself."
Leaving these words behind, Charles walked away with long strides.

As he walked out of the private room, Mark approached him, politely saying, "Boss."

"What about Daphne?" Charles interjected.
"Wwhere's Daphne?"
Charles hads a dreary chest.
"it has been followed."

Mark wasis like a worm in his boss's stomach, and he knewows what to do without confessing. "Iif Mrs. Lancelot wasis in danger, the her bodyguard wouldill rescue her."

“Mrs. Lancelot despisesses you and yet you embarrassed her in front of so many people.
Serves you right for getting divorced.”!

Charles looked at the back of Mark's head, raised an eyebrow with a hint of danger, and asked, "What are you cursing at me in your mind?"

"I didn't curse at you," Mark, skilled at lying without blushing, replied. "I was just thinking about how to make you and Mrs. Lancelot get through the day later."
It was only noon, and there were still several hours until evening.

Based on Mrs. Lancelot's attitude towards her boss, it would be a miracle if they could stay in the same room for ten minutes.

Charles ignored him, for he was also thinking about this matter. Ever since their argument at the hospital, he had noticed that Daphne couldn't stand him.

Today, he just wanted her to know that the social circle wasn't as great as she imagined it to be.

He gave her over a billion dollars. She could live comfortably for the rest of her life with that money.

Putting aside these thoughts, Charles leaned back in the car and closed his eyes to rest.
Not long after they left, Lydia and Mr. Murphy appeared. They were about to go inside when Lydia received a message from Kevin, informing her that everything had been resolved.

He didn't dare tell her about what happened in the private room. If he did, Daphne would definitely make a scene.!

Daphne found herself escorted to the hotel by none other than Tony, who had clearly spared no effort in his mission to impress Charles. The entire suite had been meticulously adorned, exuding the ambiance of a luxurious, romantic getaway with its soft, alluring lighting and delightful fragrances. On Daphne's side, she had been taken to the hotel by Tony.
