Chapter 676 Hidden Feelings in the Heart

"Thank you, Mom!" Diana said with a happy smile.

If Diana was aiming to study hard with Louis as her goal at this time, she gave up on that goal when she reached twelve.

At first, Diana thought about studying hard, skipping grades, and advancing in school.

But when she was twelve, Louis entered the youth program at Horizon University due to his excellence, becoming the youngest person at Horizon University.

In those years, as long as Louis participated in a competition, he always won the championship.

From then on, Diana changed her goal to just stay in the top three of her grade.

Since then, Louis and Diana took different academic paths.

At the age of twenty-three, Diana graduated with a combined bachelor's and master's degree. Although she aimed to finish at twenty-one, she graduated at twenty-three due to not skipping enough grades.

As for the people around her, they had all graduated from college.

Louis, Lon, and the others had already started working.

The only one still in school was the handsome boy next door to Emma, Eddy.

On this day, because Diana graduated, her friends organized a gathering for her.

At this time, Diana had grown into a graceful and beautiful young woman, with a bit of maturity in her youth. She was very pretty and had a personality similar to Benjamin, handling most things with ease.

Wherever Diana was, the atmosphere was always lively and pleasant.

A few friends met up at a club to have fun. Besides her two best friends, there were also some friends she met as she grew up, including Eddy and others.

"Is everyone here?" Eddy asked. He no longer had the delicate and handsome look of his childhood, now carrying a bit of rebelliousness.

"Not yet," Diana scanned the room and quickly confirmed the number of people. "Lon isn't here."

Just as she finished speaking, a man in a black suit, with a gentle and steady appearance, walked in.

Lon, holding a bouquet of flowers, walked through the crowd to Diana's side and handed her the flowers with a smile on his lips. "Congratulations on graduating."

"Thank you, Lon!" Diana smiled warmly, just as healing and comforting as before.

Once everyone was there, the scene quickly became lively, and they all had a great time.

Half an hour later.

Diana, feeling a bit tired from playing, sat on the sofa with a glass of fruit wine, her eyes still filled with joy.

Seeing this, Lon found an excuse to sit next to her, casually taking a sip of his drink.

"Lon," Diana suddenly called out to him.

Lon turned his head, still looking handsome. "Hmm?"

"Have you confessed your feelings to the girl you like?" Diana asked curiously.

Lon paused, his gaze lingering on her face for a moment.

Diana blinked, thinking the result wasn't good. "Did you fail?"

"I haven't confessed yet." Lon put down his glass, his eyes filled with complex emotions. "I don't know how to tell her."

"If you trust me, tell me what kind of person she is, and I'll help you plan the confession," Diana said straightforwardly. "As long as she has feelings for you, I guarantee she'll say yes."

Lon's thin lips pressed into a straight line, his chest feeling tight.

Clearly, the person he liked was right in front of him, but he couldn't tell her.

"What's wrong?" Diana asked.

"She has feelings for me, but she probably won't accept it," Lon hid all his emotions inside. "Forget it."

Diana encouraged him, "How do you know if you don't try?"

"She likes someone else," Lon blurted out.

When Lon was eighteen, he wanted to confess to Diana, to tell her he liked her and his feelings for her had grown deeper and deeper, from childhood attention to teenage affection.

But that day, when Lon went to find Diana, he happened to overhear her conversation with Louis. He couldn't remember the other details, only that when Louis asked her what she would do if Lon confessed to her, she replied that she would reject him and cut off contact.

Diana saw Lon as a brother she grew up with, only considering him as family.

From that day on, Lon hid his feelings, pretending to be the brotherly figure.

"As long as she hasn't gotten together with the person she likes, you still have a chance," Diana analyzed accurately. "What if, after you pursue her, she realizes she likes you more?"

"I don't think so," Lon knew the consequences of his confession.

Rejection, cutting off contact—either one was something Lon couldn't accept.

Diana looked at him puzzled. "Since when did you become so timid?"

"I don't want to fail and not even be able to stay friends." Lon didn't let her notice anything, as long as he could maintain a good relationship with her.

"So what?" Diana was straightforward and unreserved in such matters. "If it were me, I'd confess directly. Either succeed or fail."

Lon instinctively looked at Diana, knowing the answer but still asking, "Do you have someone you like?"

"Yes," Diana admitted openly.

"Have you confessed?" Lon asked again.

These seemingly casual and simple questions repeatedly pierced his heart.

"Not yet, I was too busy with my studies before," Diana had her life planned out. "I'll confess to him next week. If he rejects me, I'll pursue him. Now I have plenty of time."

Lon forced a smile, not letting Diana notice anything. "That's great."

Diana was a bit puzzled by his reaction. Although they didn't go to school together, they occasionally hung out during holidays.

Diana was sure that Lon was a decisive and goal-oriented person.

Why was he scared now?

After the party, Diana went to find Noe.

Noe and Lon had been in the same school since childhood. Although they studied different majors, they had a good relationship.

Hearing Diana's question, Noe was stunned. "You don't know who he likes?"

"Who?" Diana asked, feeling like she should know.

"He likes..." Noe began to say.

Before he could finish, Lon appeared in time to interrupt their conversation, "How could he know who I like? It's getting late, I'll take you home."

"But..." Diana glanced at Noe.

Lon was already pushing Diana out. "Let's go."
