Chapter 672 You Are Really Annoying

"Alright," Caspian agreed.

Diana laughed, overjoyed.

Seeing that Caspian and Diana had made up, Louis didn't linger any longer.

He went back to his room and called Daphne and Benjamin to inform them about returning tomorrow.

After agreeing on the flight time, Louis wanted to talk to them about Diana, but after pondering for a while, he still didn't know how to start.

"What's wrong?" Daphne noticed Louis's hesitation.

"Has Diana ever watched romance dramas with you?" Louis asked tentatively, wondering what to do if Diana and Caspian really developed feelings for each other.

In the past, Diana and Lon had a good relationship and even played role-playing games. But it was mostly about sharing gifts and never went this far.

Daphne glanced at Benjamin and then shook her head. "No."

They rarely watched romance dramas, maybe an occasional movie on the subject.

But Diana was never around when they watched.

"When she starts elementary school, you should pay more attention to her feelings," Louis decided to give them a heads-up to avoid any surprises later. "I'm worried she might fall in love too early."

"Okay," Daphne agreed.

Though she agreed, she didn't believe it, Diana was too playful for that.

"By the way, Lon will go to the airport with us to pick you up tomorrow," Daphne suddenly remembered. "Didn't Diana say she wanted to bring him something? Has she prepared it?"

Louis fell silent, Diana probably forgot all about it.

Daphne could tell from his pause. "She didn't prepare anything?"

"I think so." Louis recalled her daily routine and didn't remember her bringing anything.

"Tell her to prepare something," Daphne didn't want Diana to break her promise. "Don't let Lon be disappointed."

Louis agreed.

After hanging up, he went to find Diana.

They had to get up early to go to the airport, and based on Diana's tendency to sleep in, she wouldn't wake up in the morning.

He had to tell her now so she could prepare in advance.

When Louis went downstairs, Diana had just sent Caspian back. Seeing him, she proudly showed off the wooden doll. "Caspian prepared this for me, not you."

"So what?" Louis didn't care about these things.

"This means I'm cuter in Caspian's eyes than you are." Diana always praised herself when bantering with Louis.

"Then, cute Diana, you're going back tomorrow. Did you fulfill your promise to Lon?" Louis asked directly, looking at her. "What gift did you prepare for him?"

Diana, thinking only of the gifts from Caspian, didn't react for a moment. "Gift?"

Louis stared at her without answering.

Diana blinked, looking confused.

A minute later.

Louis gave in. "You promised to bring Lon gifts and souvenirs when you left."

"Oh, I asked Charles to prepare that a long time ago," Diana said with a little pride. "He prepared a lot of things for me, some for Lon and some for Mom."

Hearing this, Louis instinctively glanced at Charles.

He strongly suspected that Charles had some personal touch about the things for Daphne.

In fact, Louis was right. Charles did add a bit of his personal touch to the things for Daphne, but it wasn't very obvious.

Early the next morning.

Charles took them back.

Before leaving, Diana met with Caspian one last time. When the three arrived in Gedser, it was already past ten. Daphne and Lon were already waiting at the airport.

Seeing Daphne, Diana immediately ran to her, calling out "Mom" affectionately.

After more than ten days apart, Daphne missed her child very much and took Diana's and Louis's hands as they got into the car.

As for Charles and Lon, they went back with them.

After getting home, they had a meal together, and then the three kids went upstairs while Daphne and Benjamin stayed downstairs to chat with Charles.

At first, it was just polite conversation, thanking Charles for taking care of the kids and apologizing for any trouble they caused. After that, Daphne didn't know what else to talk about.

"You guys keep chatting," Daphne decisively stood up to give them space. "I'll get you something to eat."

Neither of them stopped her, knowing it was just an excuse.

Without her, the atmosphere between the two men became a bit awkward.

Benjamin naturally sat across from Charles, asking casually, "Want something to drink?"

"No need," Charles declined.

"Really?" Benjamin looked at his empty cup.

"This is practically my second home," Charles said slowly. "If I want something, I'll get it myself."

"True," Benjamin responded calmly. "You are Diana's godfather."

Charles wondered, wasn't Benjamin angry?

Benjamin knew what Charles was thinking. After glancing in Daphne's direction, he said, "Do you regret what happened back then?"

"What do you think?" Charles retorted.

"If you regret it, cherish what you have now," Benjamin hinted. "Don't regret one more time."

Charles remained indifferent. "You're overthinking it."

"You said the same thing last time," Benjamin replied.

Charles looked at him curiously. "What does Daphne like about you?"

"Shamelessness," Benjamin said seriously, with a lazy smile in his eyes.

Charles poured himself a glass of water, his eyes deep in thought.

If he had shamelessly stayed by Daphne's side back then, would things have turned out differently?

Because of his upbringing and inherent personality, Charles couldn't fight for what he wanted after learning the truth. If it weren't for Brian's psychological suggestion, he might not have even stayed with Daphne during his amnesia.

"Stop thinking about it," Benjamin, being a man, knew what he was thinking. "What's done is done, nothing will change it."

"You're really annoying." Charles bluntly expressed his thoughts.
