Chapter 743 Proposing Together is Very Romantic

"I want to talk to Mom about some private girl stuff," Diana continued to persuade him. If she could, she would have just taken Daphne away. "This kind of thing isn't suitable to discuss with Caspian."

"You can talk to Chloe and the others." Benjamin knew her friends well.

"They don't have experience." Diana was getting tired of making excuses. "Only Mom does."

"Aren't you close with Emma and Zoey?" Benjamin saw through her little schemes and continued to reject her as Daphne had instructed. "They can help."

Diana accused him, "You just don't want me to be alone with Mom."

"I thought I made it obvious enough," Benjamin naturally responded.

Diana wanted to say something, but she realized that no matter what she said, her dad could always talk it back.

She could only blurt out, "You've been together for so many years, being apart for a day or two isn't a big deal. Aren't you tired of being together every day?"

"Not in my lifetime," Benjamin spoke sincerely.

Diana knew it was hopeless this time, so she changed the subject, "When will you and Mom be back?"

"A week before your engagement ceremony," Benjamin replied.

Diana acknowledged and went upstairs.

Unable to discuss it with Daphne in person, she could only plan to chat about it slowly when she had the chance later.

Over two hours later, Benjamin and Daphne were lying in bed after taking a bath.

Thinking about Diana's matter, Daphne discussed with Benjamin, "Maybe we should agree to Diana, it would be nice if they both proposed on the same day."

"No need, Let Caspian do it," Benjamin chatted with her while holding her.

"If we don't agree, Diana will keep thinking about it." Daphne didn't want Diana to worry about it every day.

"She wants to propose to Caspian to show him how much she cares about him." Benjamin understood emotions very well and reassured her by rubbing her head. "Now that Caspian is sure of her feelings, there's no need for it."

Daphne didn't respond, still thinking about it.

Benjamin lowered his head and kissed her. "Don't worry, it will be over soon."

Daphne sensed something. "What do you mean?"

"When you were chatting with Diana earlier, Caspian messaged me, asking if we were free the Friday after next." Benjamin showed her the chat record. "He plans to propose to Diana at that time."

Daphne took a look.

After she finished reading, Benjamin asked, "Are you still worried now?"

"Not anymore." Daphne was relieved.

During this time, Diana should be discussing with her friends how to make the proposal more exciting.

As long as she hasn't started preparing, Caspian's proposal will be a huge surprise for her.

At this moment, Diana was in her bedroom video chatting with Caspian. She was as enthusiastic as ever, chatting with Caspian about various things. Although Caspian didn't talk much, he responded to everything she said.

"Tomorrow I have to go stay with Louis," Diana told Caspian about her daily life. "If Louis gets a wife and we aren't married yet, can you take me in?"

Now she was living with Louis purely for companionship. The two of them in a villa, living quite freely. But if Louis got a wife, she wouldn't want to be in the way.

"My place will always be your home," Caspian boldly and directly confessed to her.

Diana smiled happily, "Then I'll come find you tomorrow."

"No," Caspian refused without thinking.

His quick response made Diana pause. She blinked, a little puzzled. "Your tone sounds like someone with a guilty conscience."

"I've been busy lately, I have no time to accompany you," Caspian realized he had spoken too hastily and calmly added, "When I'm done working, I'll come get you."

"Then I'll be waiting." Diana believed him.

Caspian responded affirmatively.

After blowing him a kiss through the screen, Diana told him to rest early.

She made this call not only because she missed Caspian but also to see if his emotions during the day were genuine or fake.

It seemed Caspian was getting better and better.

That night, Diana slept soundly. The next day, after Daphne and Benjamin went to the airport, she returned to the place she shared with Louis.

After parking the car, she entered the password and opened the door.

But she never expected to see a girl in the house.

She kept the door open, her gaze falling on the girl sitting on the sofa with a bag of chips, expressionless and cool. She tentatively asked, "You are..."

"Lyra Cole," Lyra briefly introduced herself, very reserved.

Diana walked in, leaving the door open. "Did Louis bring you here?"

"Yes." Lyra nodded.

Diana nodded and didn't ask further, but her mind was buzzing with gossip.

She knew what kind of person Louis was, always keeping himself clean, never bringing random women home. As for friends or classmates, he wouldn't bring them to their place either.

In other words.

In other words, there was a high probability that this Lyra was Louis's future wife.

"There are drinks in the fridge, and snacks in the cabinet in front of you," Diana said before going upstairs. "Help yourself to whatever you want."

Lyra nodded slightly, like an emotionless robot. "Thank you."

Diana smiled politely and went to her room.

Without much thought, she immediately called Louis.

The phone had just rung a few times when her door suddenly knocked, startling her.

She had to hang up and throw the phone on the bed, instinctively thinking Lyra had something to discuss.

"Louis?" She was surprised to see Louis when she opened the door.

Louis was wearing a suit, his sharp features showing more worry than usual. "Come to the study with me."

Diana obediently followed him.

As they passed the hallway, she noticed Louis glancing downstairs.

That look didn't seem like he was looking at his girlfriend.

As the study door closed, she noticed a pile of documents and a recently finished video conference, indicating Louis was working from home today.

"What's going on with you?" Diana couldn't hold back her curiosity and asked.
