Chapter 57 I will retaliate against you one by one!

She didn't talk to him and dialed a phone call on her mobile, saying in front of them, "Psychiatric hospital? I have a late-stage psychiatric patient here. Can you please come over?"

"Daphne!" Charles stood up and walked over to snatch her phone, hanging up the call. This woman was driving him nuts. She always knew how to infuriate people.

Daphne said indifferently, "If you're sick, go and get treatment. Delaying it will not only be harmful to yourself but also potentially hurt others."

"Do you think pretending to be crazy will help you escape from today's matter?" Charles threw the phone aside and looked down at her.

Daphne remained unaffected by his coldness and asked, "What matter?"

"Mark," Charles kept his gaze fixed on her, not expecting her acting skills to be this good. "Show it to her."

Mark picked up his business tablet and handed it over, displaying the contents of Twitter. He believed it wasn't her doing. "Miss Murphy, take a look."

"Besides you, no one else would do such a boring thing," Charles said with absolute certainty, chilling Daphne's heart even more. "I will retaliate against you for the harm you've caused Kayla!"

Daphne casually browsed through the content with her legs crossed. She clicked on the photos one by one and glanced at the comments while she was at it. She didn't mention who did this, simply raising her eyes casually. "How do you plan on getting it back?"

"By spending money to make me trend and tell the whole internet that you cheated on me?" Her gaze met his. "Then let the netizens mock me, saying I can't even hold onto my own man?" An icy aura emanated from Charles. "If you think that's the case, you might be disappointed," Daphne countered without reservations. "The netizens are smarter than you. They will only think the person who cheated deserves the criticism."

"Do you really think I won't do anything to you?" Charles looked at her with a cold expression for the first time.

Daphne leaned against the sofa and handed the tablet back to Mark, speaking casually, "If I were you, I wouldn't have the face to question me with this matter. Whether I did it or not, is there anything wrong with the content?"

"Mark," Charles lost his patience for further discussion.

"Cut off all of Daisy's film and television resources," Charles' gaze turned sharp, his words icy.

Mark could only comply, "Yes."

"Try harming her once…" Daphne's nonchalant expression changed, and emotions appeared in her eyes.

"In addition to cutting off her film and television resources, cut off all her other resources as well," Charles spoke without any hint of emotion. "And release her scandals while you're at it."

"Boss..." Mark hesitated.

He knew his boss. It was just a bluff against Miss Murphy. They wouldn't really break up, would they, risking the last shred of their relationship in front of her? Coldness surrounded Charles.

"Go ahead," he said. "Yes," Mark had no choice but to agree. Daphne's emotions were triggered, and she stood up. "If you dare touch Daisy, I will make sure you never see Kayla again in your lifetime."

Charles confronted her. Daphne couldn't understand how he had turned out like this, willing to involve innocent people. "She has done nothing wrong to you, so why involve her?" Charles replied firmly, his face grim.

"Do you dare say that buying trending topics wasn't taught by her? You two only recently met, and then Kayla appears on the trending list. Do you think this is a coincidence?" Until today, he had no idea that Daphne had a friend in Ivrea City, let alone that this friend was from Austin's family.

When he saw the trending topic, he investigated Daphne's whereabouts that day and was certain that Daisy had taught her all of this. Austin said Daisy had gotten pregnant from messing around with someone.

A person with such messy personal life would suggest dirty ideas as well. Daphne understood that Charles had investigated her after the trending topic appeared. She didn't waste any words and spoke directly, "It wasn't me."

"Do you think I would believe you?"

"Charles, when will you grow a brain?" Daphne asked. "Why would I spend money to buy her trending topics?"

Charles interrupted her, "You think her appearance hasn't disrupted…"

"What do you want?" Daphne cut him off. She also knew that it was useless to speak anymore with someone like him; she didn't feel like wasting her breath.

"Apologize on Twitter," Charles insisted, annoyed and angry at her acceptance. "And apologize to Kayla in person until she forgives you."

"Boss, I don't think it's appropriate for Miss Murphy to apologize online," Mark couldn't bear to watch. Charles gave him a cold gaze. Mark quickly explained, "The online buzz surrounding this matter is gradually dying down. If Miss Murphy were to apologize on Twitter now, netizens would surely lash out at her and insult her."

"She brought this upon herself," Charles said emotionlessly. "That's not the point," Mark desperately tried to find a solution for Daphne, racking his brains. "The key is…"

"Mark," Daphne interrupted, knowing what he was about to say. Once she received enough backlash online, netizens would start searching for her, and in that process, they could easily discover her marriage to Charles and all the secrets between Charles and Kayla. She wouldn't let Charles win so easily.

After learning the consequences, Mark was momentarily stunned when Daphne called his name.

"Your boss has made up his mind, no need to persuade anymore," Daphne said calmly, her gaze, carrying a hint of inscrutable emotions, fell on Charles. "Are you sure you want me to apologize online?"

"Absolutely," Charles replied without any doubt.

Daphne agreed, "Alright."

He wanted to advise her again, "Miss Murphy, you..." How did she agree so quickly?

"As long as you apologize online, this matter will end here," Charles no longer mentioned asking her to apologize to Kayla. "When introducing yourself, say that you are a colleague of Kayla's, not my wife."

Daphne didn't respond. Did they really think she was a fool, asking her to apologize? Charles took back his gaze and instructed Mark with a cold demeanor. "You stay here and watch her. Make sure she finishes writing the apology and posts it online."

"Okay."

"After it's posted, buy trending spots."

"Got it," Mark responded.

As Charles left, he glanced at Daphne, warning her, "Don't play any tricks. Everything you do will be repaid by Daisy in the end." After saying that, Charles left with the car keys.

Inside the car, he didn't immediately start the engine and leave. He didn't appear as calm as he seemed, feeling a heavy discomfort in his chest when thinking about Daphne's attitude and demeanor tonight.
