Chapter 713 You are Caspian, my Caspian
Alvin nodded. "Yes."
Caspian didn't say anything more and opened the door to go inside.
As soon as Caspian closed the door and was still trying to prepare himself mentally to face Diana, she came running over, smiling brightly at him. "Come over and eat."
"You..." Caspian suddenly didn't know what to say.
"Let's talk after eating," Diana responded naturally, as if it were just an ordinary day. "I specifically asked the chef to make this dinner."
Caspian changed his shoes and walked over. When he saw the delicious food on the table, he didn't say a word.
Diana took him to wash his hands.
After finishing everything, they sat down to eat together.
"This is delicious," Diana said, putting some food on his plate. "This is also good."
Caspian's eyes gradually darkened.
Diana took a bite of food and looked at him puzzled. "Why aren't you eating? I remember these are all your favorites."
"Louis came to see me." Caspian had no appetite at all, his mind heavy with worries. If it weren't for his rationality controlling him, he would have driven her away long ago.
"I know, he told me." Diana took a sip of soup and swallowed before continuing, "He also told me the reason you suddenly disappeared and stopped contacting me."
Caspian paused, clearly not expecting Diana to be so direct.
"Caspian," Diana called him.
His heart tightened, as if he anticipated what she was going to say next, his eyes and aura dimming a bit.
Diana looked at Caspian and spoke her mind, "Why are you so childish?"
"What?" Caspian froze.
"I said you're childish, disappearing like that as an adult." Diana continued putting food on his plate. "The most important thing between two people is honesty and mutual trust. You can tell me your thoughts instead of making decisions on your own."
Caspian didn't respond, knowing very well that those things couldn't be told.
No one wanted to be restricted in making friends, no one wanted to have only one friend for life.
If Caspian spoke out, there would only be one result: she would distance herself from him.
Rather than that, he might as well take the final step himself, saving her the process of hating him.
"Why aren't you talking?" Diana stopped eating.
"I messaged Louis. He'll come to pick you up later," Caspian tried to stay calm while talking to her. "Don't come again in the future."
"Is it that I'm not being obvious enough, or do you really not get it?" Diana spoke directly. "Can't you see I'm here to confess to you?"
Caspian stood up, suddenly becoming much more distant.
As he was about to leave, Diana stopped him. "I know about your illness, and I know everything about you."
"Then you should know that being with me won't lead to any good outcome," Caspian's voice was as cold as winter, his aura changing drastically in an instant.
Diana walked over and stood in front of him.
Caspian's hands, hanging by his sides, clenched tightly, the beast inside him almost uncontrollable.
The next second, his waist softened as Diana hugged him face to face.
"I said, no matter what, I will be with you." Diana pressed her face against his chest, feeling his wildly beating heart. "I will protect you."
Caspian's heart beat even faster, some thoughts growing wildly in his mind.
For a moment, he thought this was good, but he knew his true nature was far more than that.
Caspian forcibly pulled her hands off him, his whole demeanor changing. "You like me, right?"
"Yes." Diana nodded.
Caspian continued, "No matter what I'm like, you won't leave?"
Diana nodded again. "Yes."
Caspian's thin lips pressed into a straight line, suppressing his near-collapse. He wanted to tell her his true thoughts but feared scaring her away.
The purpose of his return was to make Diana see his true self and then leave.
But now...
"If I want to have sex with you right now, would you dare?" Caspian skipped a part and went straight to what she might find most unacceptable.
"Of course, why wouldn't I?" Diana pulled him towards the bedroom, saying as she walked, "But after we have sex, you have to marry me."
Caspian locked his gaze on her, trying to see if she was pretending to be strong and carefree.
But no matter how he looked, he couldn't find a trace of pretense on her face.
As Caspian thought about this, Diana's hand wrapped around his neck, and she stood on tiptoe to plant a kiss on his thin lips.
He stiffened, not expecting this to happen.
"Do you not know how to kiss?" Diana whispered.
Caspian pushed Diana away, his breath chaotic, and all his planned strategies returned to zero at that moment.
He never expected things to turn out this way.
"Why can you even agree to such an unreasonable request?" Caspian's question seemed directed at both Diana and himself. "Do you know who I am? Do you understand?"
His emotions were spiraling out of control, trying to reverse but failing.
"I know, and I understand," Diana patiently answered his questions. "You are Caspian, my Caspian."
"Get out." Caspian's emotions instantly spiraled out of control.
Diana walked towards him.
Caspian struggled to control himself. "I told you to get out!"
"If I leave, what will you do?" Diana stood in front of him, her eyes full of tenderness.
This simple sentence made Caspian's heart collapse.
"In front of me, you can be your true self," Diana spoke to Caspian sincerely. "No need to hide your true thoughts. Do what you feel."
"I don't want you to contact Lon and Eddy, don't want you to have so many people you care about," Caspian finally voiced his thoughts, losing his usual calmness and composure. "I want your eyes and heart to be filled with only me. Can you do that?"
"Yes," Diana answered quickly.
Caspian's emotions paused.
Diana gently hugged Caspian, giving him the security he needed. "As long as you want, I'll listen to you."
"Actually, before coming here, I already told them to contact me less in the future." Diana took out her phone and handed it to him, showing her sincerity. "Look."
Seeing Diana's sincere face, Caspian's emotions miraculously calmed down.
He took her phone, and the recent messages were all about her telling her friends she had a boyfriend now and couldn't mess around with them like before, needing to maintain boundaries.
"Trust me this once." Diana gently rubbed his head, full of tenderness. "Okay?"
Caspian wanted to say okay, but he knew his emotions were too unstable.
