Chapter 404 Go and Study What This Word Means

Austin used to hit the gym and was pretty nimble, but he was still no match for Daphne.

Ever since Daphne whooped his bodyguards and snatched Daisy right in front of him, he’d been training like a madman, swearing he’d never get punked like that again.

He couldn’t take Daphne, but a gigolo? Come on.

Daphne saw Austin’s newfound swagger and said, “I promise.”

Benjamin, standing tall, asked in a smooth, deep voice, “What’s in it for me if I win?”

“Huh?” Daphne looked confused.

“No prize?” Benjamin asked, deadpan.

“What do you want?” Daphne asked.

“Promise me one thing,” Benjamin said, already scheming.

Daphne didn’t think twice and agreed, “Sure.”

She and Benjamin were still in the honeymoon phase, so any request would be small potatoes, no biggie.

Listening to their chat, Austin got more and more pissed. Even now, he couldn’t stop asking Daphne for stuff.

“Your taste is trash,” Austin sneered. “You’re the Murphy Group heir, and you pick a gigolo?”

“You…” Daphne was about to snap.

Benjamin squeezed her hand and said lazily, “She just digs my style. Got a problem?”

“Wow, you really have no shame,” Austin scoffed.

“Wanna up the ante?” Benjamin smirked.

Austin didn’t care, thinking Benjamin was just full of himself. “Bring it.”

“Loser, besides what we just said, has to cough up $600,000,” Benjamin said casually.

“Deal,” Austin agreed fast. “Six hundred grand is chump change to me, but do you even have it?” Austin sneered.

“I do,” Benjamin said coolly.

“Alright,” Austin replied.

The two shook on it.

When Austin asked where they’d throw down, Benjamin said right there and added, “When we fight, I won’t use my right hand. If you can knock me down once, you win.”

This way, it wouldn’t look like Benjamin was bullying Austin.

Austin got even more pissed, thinking Benjamin was just showing off. He couldn’t wait to wipe the floor with him.

In the next second, Austin threw a punch at Benjamin with all his might!

Benjamin moved like lightning, blocking Austin’s punch effortlessly, making Austin wince in pain.

Austin didn’t back down. Seeing this as his shot to see Daisy, he went all out, throwing punches and kicks like a maniac.

But he couldn’t land a single hit; Benjamin blocked everything.

At that moment, Austin realized Benjamin was no joke. He wasn’t sure if Benjamin was a gigolo, but he knew Benjamin’s skills were on par with Daphne’s. Where did she find this guy?

With another punch, Austin was sent stumbling back.

Seeing Benjamin's next punch about to land, Austin quickly yelled, "Wait, I give up!"

Benjamin stopped and just stood there, looking at Austin, who was all messed up and leaning against the wall.

"Even though I lost, I still want you to take me to see Daisy," Austin said to Daphne, his eyes full of sincerity. "I really want to..."

"Forget it. I won't take you," Daphne cut him off coldly.

Austin clenched his fists tightly at his sides.

Daphne ignored him, told him to accept his loss and scram, then went inside with Benjamin.

In the living room.

Daphne, like a kid who got caught doing something bad, asked, "Benjamin, are you mad at me?"

"Call me baby," Benjamin suddenly said.

"What?" Daphne asked, confused.

"Since you've decided on a nickname, don't change it up," Benjamin replied calmly.

She just didn’t want to reveal his name and had picked one from Lydia's previous suggestions on a whim.

"Ms. Murphy, are you planning to use me and then toss me aside?" Benjamin said, looking at her leisurely.

Why did that sound so weird?

Benjamin pinched her cheek and said in a low, sexy voice, "Your behavior makes me think that after we get married, you'll just walk away and ignore me."

"Isn't that phrase usually used to describe men?" Daphne asked, a bit confused.

"Can't girls do the same?" Benjamin replied with a smirk.

Benjamin locked his gaze onto her, stubbornly insisting she change how she addressed him. "What do you call me?"

"Benjamin," Daphne replied.

"Still Benjamin?" Benjamin said, raising his eyebrows.

"Baby sounds a bit weird," Daphne said, looking troubled.

At this moment, Daphne didn’t realize that unknowingly, her personality had gradually become more cheerful with Benjamin. She used to be serious and unsmiling in the early days of their relationship, but now she had learned to joke around. Benjamin noticed this too and felt very gratified.

Seeing that Benjamin wasn’t mad at all, Daphne curiously asked, "Aren't you mad that I just used you?"

"Do you misunderstand me, or do you misunderstand the word 'use'?" Benjamin remarked.

"What?" Daphne was confused.

"Go learn what 'use' means," Benjamin clarified.

Daphne decisively stopped talking. As long as he wasn’t mad, it was fine. Otherwise, it would be awkward living under the same roof after moving in together.

"Daphne," Benjamin suddenly called softly.

"Hmm?" Daphne replied.

"I'm very happy I could help you," Benjamin said sincerely, glad that Daphne was finally willing to open up a bit. "In the future, let me handle things, and you can stay behind the scenes."

Daphne pressed her lips together. She still preferred to do things herself; it felt more secure that way.

Though she thought this, she agreed verbally, "Okay."

"I've packed everything. Should we go now or later?" Benjamin asked, wondering if Daphne would be mad when she found out he had taken the liberty of bringing her to his place.
