Chapter 762 She Wants to Propose to You

"Okay." Louis already had an idea in his mind.

After finishing their discussion, the two didn't say much more.

For the next two days, Daphne and Benjamin stayed at home, while Diana was busy preparing the details of the proposal.

After going through the process once, she suddenly realized a problem: She didn't know Caspian's ring size.

Without knowing the ring size, how could she prepare a ring for the proposal?

Realizing this problem, her first thought was to buy a ticket to fly to Ivrea City, but then she hesitated, considering Caspian's vigilance.

If she flew over right after coming back, he would definitely be suspicious.

What to do?

After various considerations, she thought of a solution—Charles.

When Charles received her call, he was having a meal with Caspian, looking more relaxed than in his younger days. "Not busy, what's up?"

"I need your help with something," Diana trusted Charles's abilities, "but Caspian can't know about it."

Charles instinctively glanced at Caspian.

Caspian looked puzzled.

He glanced at Charles's phone, silently asking," What's up?"

"Tell me what it is first," Charles withdrew his gaze.

Diana preemptively said, "I need you to promise not to tell Caspian."

"Tell me first," Charles didn't agree immediately.

"I want you to help me measure Caspian's middle and ring finger sizes," Diana took his response as agreement, knowing this was his usual style.

Charles looked at Caspian again, but spoke to Diana on the phone, "What do you need that for?"

A simple question.

Diana immediately realized the problem, "Is Caspian with you?"

"Yes," Charles told her directly.

Diana's heart skipped a beat, and she tentatively asked, "Did he hear what I said?"

"No," Charles replied.

Diana breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good."

"You still haven't told me what you need it for," Charles asked naturally, though he had a rough guess.

"I'm planning to propose to him," Diana didn't hide it, given their good relationship, "I was planning to measure it myself, but he's always smart. If I go over right after coming back, he'll definitely be suspicious."

"That makes sense," Charles agreed with her reasoning.

Diana returned to the main point, "So, will you help me?"

In response, Charles hung up the phone.

Diana was a bit stunned.

What was going on?

Just as she was about to call back, she received a message from Charles: [I can help you, but I can't guarantee Caspian won't find out.]

[I trust you.] Diana replied.

Since childhood, Charles had always been reliable.

Whenever he promised her something, he would handle it perfectly.

Unfortunately.

This time, she trusted the wrong person.

As soon as the call ended, Caspian asked, "Was that Diana?"

"Yes," Charles didn't hesitate to expose her, hoping Caspian would propose to her, "She asked me to measure your ring size."

Caspian paused his eating.

Ring size?

"She wants to propose to you," Charles revealed the key point.

Hearing this, emotions flickered in Caspian's eyes, as if he had never considered this possibility.

A girl proposing to a guy...

She must care a lot about him.

"Should I give it to her?" Charles sought his opinion.

Caspian refused, still wanting to propose to her himself, "No."

"Alright," Charles agreed readily.

Caspian responded, his thoughts drifting far away.

In the following days, Diana was always told there was no opportunity to measure whenever she asked about the progress.

Three days passed in a flash.

Daphne and Benjamin had a talk with Louis.

And Louis handled their questions with ease because he was prepared.

They knew Louis wasn't being completely honest, but based on his attitude towards Lyra, they agreed to their marriage without probing too much into his relationship with Lyra.

As for Diana, she planned to go to Ivrea City to find Caspian herself after waiting for several days without results.

Charles, knowing this, asked her to give him a bit more time, promising to get the ring size by next Friday at the latest.

"Really?" Diana was worried about running out of time.

Charles assured her, "Yes."

"Alright, if you haven't found an opportunity by next Friday, I'll go measure it myself," Diana replied from the sofa, still contemplating whether to go herself.

"Okay."

The call ended.

Diana sat on the sofa, deep in thought.

Louis, just back from handling some matters, saw her worried expression and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I asked Charles to measure Caspian's ring size, but he hasn't found an opportunity these past few days," Diana, having no guard against her brother, said directly, "I'm thinking about going to measure it myself."

"What did he say?" Louis asked.

Diana told him honestly, "He said he could get it by next Friday at the latest."

Next Friday?

Louis paused.

The day Caspian planned to propose to her?

"I don't know whether to wait for him to measure it or go myself," Diana was conflicted.

"Charles is always reliable," Louis, also wanting Caspian to propose to her, naturally sided with Caspian, "If he promised to get it by next Friday, he must be confident."

"Do you really think so?"

"Yes."

"Really?"

"Really."

"But in just over twenty days, Caspian and I are getting engaged. I want to propose before the engagement," Diana, truly in love with Caspian, wanted to give him all her care and love.

The proposal plan, with help from her mom and Chloe, was already set.

Now, only the proposal ring and some auxiliary items in production were missing.

"It'll be in time," Louis's words carried weight, "If you're worried, I'll help you prepare once you have the ring size."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Alright," Diana trusted his words.

With Louis's assurance, Diana felt less worried, though she still checked on Charles's progress daily.

In a flash.

A few more days passed.

Seeing no results by Friday, Diana grew anxious and discussed it with Eddy and Chloe.

The two exchanged a glance upon hearing this.

"What's with that look?" Diana didn't understand their reaction.

"Proposing isn't something you have to do," Eddy said casually, his tone normal, "If you can't get the ring size, let him propose to you."

Chloe agreed, "Right."

Not responding to their words, Diana lay on the table.
