Chapter 703 Helping Each Other

"Forget it, I'll ask myself." Diana grabbed her phone, stood up, and walked out the door.

Just a moment ago, she was crying so heartbreakingly, how did she suddenly become fine?

The most important thing was that Diana's steps didn't look like she was drunk.

Alvin immediately stood up and followed her out. When he saw her hailing a cab by the roadside, he circled around her and concluded, "You were pretending to be drunk?"

"How else could I get you to tell the truth?" Diana replied.

Alvin was a bit overwhelmed.

If he remembered correctly, Diana had just drunk three bottles of alcohol. Although they were small bottles, he would have been drunk if he had drunk them.

"But you didn't look like you were pretending." Alvin still found the situation a bit surreal. "And you were crying so hard."

"Because I know the actress Daisy." Diana replied.

Diana had been good at acting since she was a child, and she got even better as she grew up.

If Diana had been interested in acting back then, she would probably be famous by now.

Alvin was a bit overwhelmed. "Ms. Reynolds."

"Mr. Garcia warned me that no one should know about this." Alvin frowned, very anxious, "Including you and Mr. Lancelot. If you go to him, I'm doomed."

"I won't say it was you." Diana understood.

"He'll find out we met." Alvin was very scared. "If you go to him right after meeting me, even if you don't say it was me, he'll definitely find out."

Diana opened her mouth, considering the matter.

Alvin suggested, "Can you wait a couple of days before going to him?"

"Does he have any follow-up appointments recently?" Diana asked.

"Not at the moment," Alvin replied.

"Okay," Diana agreed. "I'll go see him next Friday."

"Thank you!" Alvin felt relieved.

Just then, Charles called Diana, saying he was coming to pick her up.

Diana decided not to go see Caspian and waited for Charles.

In about twenty minutes, Charles arrived. Diana said goodbye to Alvin and got into the car.

Worried that Diana might slip up, Alvin sent her a message: [Don't let Mr. Lancelot know about this.]

Diana's eyes flickered, and she replied: [He saw the message.]

Alvin became afraid. Would Diana betray him?

[Just kidding, Charles didn't see it.] Diana didn't let Alvin worry for long and told him directly, [Don't worry, I won't tell him.]

After seeing these two messages, Alvin finally felt at ease.

Charles saw Diana playing with her phone and didn't speak to her. After she finished replying, he asked, "Why were you with Alvin at the bar?"

"Just wanted to ask him something," Diana said cautiously. "I pretended to be drunk and pitiful to get some sympathy, hoping he'd tell me something about Caspian."

"Did he tell you?" Charles asked naturally.

"He only said that Caspian really likes me." Diana twirled her phone. "He didn't say anything else."

"What are you planning to do?" Charles asked her.

Diana's eyes shifted, and this time she didn't tell the truth. "I'll leave it for now and deal with it in a few days."

Charles nodded.

About ten minutes later, Charles suddenly said, "You should drink less in the future."

"I don't usually drink much," Diana explained for herself. "This is only the second time in years that I've drunk this much."

Diana wasn't lying. Although she liked to go out with friends, most of the time she drank soft drinks or fruit wine.

If it weren't to convince Alvin she was really drunk, she wouldn't have ordered hard liquor this time.

"It's true!" Diana quickly explained when she saw Charles didn't quite believe her. "If you don't believe me, you can ask my mom. She knows."

"I just want you to take care of your health. Even if you can handle alcohol, drinking hard liquor is still bad for your body." Charles cared for Diana and wanted her to be well.

"Got it." Diana smiled.

They chatted about other things on the way.

While they were having a good time, Caspian was not doing well.

After saying those harsh words to Diana, Caspian went to an apartment only he knew about and locked himself in.

Scenes of what he said to Diana kept replaying in his mind. The more he thought about it, the more his emotions tightened. Eventually, he didn't even notice when his neatly trimmed nails dug into his palm and drew blood.

This state would last for a long time each time he fell into it.

A few hours later, at eleven o'clock at night.

Caspian finally let himself out of that dark little room.

He didn't care about his injured palm but took some clothes to the bathroom to shower. The icy cold water poured over his head, causing his skin to break out in goosebumps.

Caspian continued to shower, seemingly only able to calm his restless heart with the cold water.

After about thirty minutes, Caspian finally adjusted his state and walked out of the bathroom. Fortunately, it was early summer; otherwise, he would definitely get sick from this.

Caspian's phone lit up.

Wearing his newly donned dark gray pajamas, he walked over and picked it up. It was a message from Diana: [Caspian, I will make you like me.]

A simple sentence made Caspian's deep eyes show some emotion.

Anyone would be happy to be liked by the one they like, and he was no exception.

But his happiness was mixed with other emotions.

After sending the message, Diana called Louis. She didn't wait for Caspian's reply.

Diana knew very well that after what Caspian said when he left, it was unlikely he would reply to her.

And she was right.

After reading the message, Caspian exited the chat, took his phone to the bedroom, set it to silent, and went to bed.

As for Diana, she was still on the phone with Louis.

She told Louis what she wanted.

"No way," Louis refused.

"Just check it for me," Diana pleaded, even bargaining with him. "If you help me now, I'll help you chase girls in the future."
