Chapter 73 Who is Fred Again!
In the following rounds, Rex didn't sabotage Daphne anymore. He distributed the small cakes evenly among them naturally. But it seemed like Daphne was competing with Charles, be it in small or big matters.
"Charles is small, who is big?" Rex looked around.
Daphne's eyes sparkled more than usual, and her voice sounded more spirited. "Me."
"Truth or dare?" Rex asked.
"Dare."
"Drink all the alcohol on the table," Daphne blurted out without hesitation. It was clear that Daphne's intelligence, when intoxicated, really took a nosedive.
Charles glanced at her, poured three glasses of alcohol and downed them in one go. His voice became huskier and sexier. "Continue."
"Charles, if you're going to play the game, make sure you can handle it," Daphne, already feeling the effects of the alcohol, managed to articulate. "I told you to drink everything, not just three glasses."
"Daphne, Charles chose to drink, not to do a dare," Rex explained, thinking she hadn't caught on.
Daphne paused. She looked at Charles, then looked at the alcohol on the table. It seemed... somewhat reasonable to her, in the inebriated state that she was in.
Charles, with his deeply intense eyes, initiated another round, this time with the roles reversed: Daphne said ‘small’, and Charles said ‘big’. Though intoxicated, Daphne still knew which choices to make and which not to. "Dare," she declared.
"Come here," Charles said, his gaze deep and filled with Daphne.
At this moment, her face was slightly flushed, her big and beautiful peach blossom eyes blinked, and her thin bangs just grazed her eyelashes. Moist red lips still had droplets of water, which was quite enticing. He had never seen her like this before.
Daphne held the cup filled with alcohol and emphatically said two words, "I won't!"
Everyone watched to see what would happen next, unsure of what Daphne would do. She then drank the contents of her cup, gurgling it down like water. Fortunately, Rex who was afraid of any mishaps, so after Evan's comment, had switched all of Daphne's alcohol to fruit juice.
"I asked you to come over so I could tell you what the dare was about,” Charles gave a small change in his gaze, staring into her dark and shining eyes. “Not to bring you over to be beside me."
Daphne furrowed her brow and looked at Evan, maintaining her usual cold demeanor, but her question clearly showed a lack of understanding. "What is he saying? Why can't I understand?"
"I couldn't understand either," Evan replied, giving her an answer.
Rex also added,"I don't think I understood much either."
It would have been better to just say the dare directly. There was no need to confuse Daphne further. In the past, this process could also be considered as a kind of adventure. This time, Rex knew he was wrong.
"Alright, alright." He stopped the game and spoke casually,"Let's end the game here for today. There are rooms upstairs and downstairs, you can find a room to sleep in."
Austin and Samuel stood up and left. They realized that tonight's game was set up, by Rex specifically for Daphne and Charles, they were the props used by Rex.
"There are two more rooms upstairs." Rex glanced at his brother and Evan,"Who will take care of Daphne?"
Charles questioned whether it was appropriate to have someone else take care of his wife? He felt that Rex needed a serious talking to. Nothing he said tonight went through to his brain.
"Daphne can sleep alone." Evan blurted out, looking at Charles. Their auras clashed,"I'll sleep with you."
Charles was confused, so was Rex. Both of their expressions, clearly showing their confusion to Evan.
"Daphne and I are not divorced yet. I can take better care of her." Charles looked at Evan, as he played with the white piece, and made a decision, "I don't have the habit of sleeping in the same bed as another man."
"Daphne." Evan called Daphne as he lowered his gaze.
Daphne turned her head, her wide watery eyes looked innocent,"Hmm?"
Rex swiftly slipped away. After Daphne transformed from her mature personality into a cute one, she became his ideal type. If they were in contact too much, it would easily lead to inappropriate feelings. It's better to leave it to them.
"Do you want to sleep alone or sleep with Charles?" Evan always respected Daphne's decision.
"I want to sleep with Fred." Daphne blurted out, her words were softer than usual,"It's comfortable to hold it."
Charles's face turned dark. Who on earth was this Fred?
Evan raised his eyebrows and patiently coaxed,"Fred is not here, so you can only choose between sleeping alone or sleeping with Charles."
Upon hearing this, Charles's deep, unfathomable gaze unconsciously fell on him. He didn't expect Evan to say it like this.
When some people encounter this situation, don't they usually ask if you want to sleep with him or with me? What kind of relationship did Evan have towards Daphne?
"Then can I sleep with Daisy?" Daphne just wanted a body pillow,"She's soft, nice to hug!"
"I'll ask."
"Okay."
Evan walked out with his phone. Daphne continued playing with the small white round cakes and completely ignored Charles standing beside her.
When Daisy saw an unfamiliar phone call, she instinctively hung up, but unexpectedly, the other person called again. She had no choice but to answer,"Hello, who is this?"
"I'm Evan." Evan introduced himself sitting down, and the entire conversation was polite. Looking handsome and gentlemanly, he asked,"Are you Daisy?"
"I am."
Once he confirmed the person, Evan began asking if she was in Ivrea City and then gave her the address and other details. After finishing the call, he noted that five minutes had passed.
Just as he hung up the phone and turned around, he saw Charles standing not far behind him. He wasn't surprised and asked, "Does Mr. Lancelot need me for something?"
"What is your relationship with Daphne?"
"Friends."
"Who is Fred?" Charles asked these questions seriously, with a deeper tone than usual.
As soon as he thought about Daphne, how she wanted to sleep with this person, and finding them soft, an uncomfortable feeling surged within him. He knew this was Daphne's past, and he knew he had no right to interfere. But he still wanted to know.
Evan smiled elegantly, lifted his gradient glasses on the bridge of his nose, and glanced in Daphne's direction. "It would be better to ask her personally about such matters."
Charles furrowed his brow. Such matters? What matters was he talking about?
"After being married for two years, she hasn't told you?" Evan clearly mocked him. Charles couldn’t say anything. Evan continued to press,"Did she say anything when she slept with you?"
"This is something between the two of us, and it's not convenient for you to know too much about it." Charles terminated this topic. "If Mr. Winston is interested in the relationship between the two of us, he can go experience a marriage for himself."
Evan smiled meaningfully but didn't respond. He just sat down next to Daphne, waiting for Daisy to arrive. It felt like Charles had punched cotton with his fist.
In his mind, scenes of him and Daphne when they had just gotten married appeared. On the first day she embraced him, she said his body was hard. Since then, she had never embraced him again!
