Chapter 110 Staying Out All Night While I'm Away

Sharon turned to see Daniel approaching with a cold look and a sneer.

"Mr. Thomas, what do you want?"

Daniel fixed an icy stare on her as he said, "Let Emily go."

"You know she's the one who hurt Sophie. Sophie's still in a coma in the ICU. Who are you to ask me to let her go?"

"Throwing her out won't wake Sophie up. Emily's already been punished enough."

Sharon scoffed. "What punishment?"

Daniel frowned, finding Sharon's attitude unbearable. Emily was already in a bad state, yet Sharon wouldn't relent.

"If you throw her out, you'll offend the Young family. A conflict between the Young group and the Smith group won't end well for you."

Sharon raised an eyebrow. "So, you're doing this for my own good?"

Daniel's eyes flashed coldly. "If you push her down today, I won't let you off. Seb can't protect you forever."

They stared each other down, tension crackling in the air. After a long pause, Sharon spoke coldly. "If Sophie knew you were defending the woman who hurt her, she'd regret ever liking you."

Daniel's eyes narrowed. "That's between Sophie and me. Not for you to judge!"

"I'll let her go now, but this isn't over."

Sharon ordered Emily's release and walked past Daniel, leaving the room.

In less than two minutes, only a disheveled Emily and Daniel remained.

"Daniel."

Daniel's expression was icy. "Stop. This is the last time I help you. From now on, we're strangers. If you hurt Sophie again, I'll make you pay."

Panic flashed across Emily's face. She got up quickly to stop Daniel.

"Daniel, I just wanted some photos to scare Sophie away from you. I never meant to hurt her."

Daniel grabbed her by the neck, his eyes cold and disgusted. "When you went abroad, we were done. Just be smart and behave yourself."

He then threw her to the floor and left without a second glance. If it weren't for Michelle, who had once saved him, Daniel would have been harsher than Sharon.

Sharon had just left the hotel when she got a call from the hospital saying Sophie had woken up. Disbelief and joy flashed in her eyes.

"I'll be right there!"

She turned to Paul. "Mr. Harris, thank you. Please thank Uncle Seb for me. Without his help, we wouldn't have found the truth so quickly. I'll thank him personally later."

Paul shook his head. "No need. It's my duty. But are you really letting Emily off?"

Sharon's eyes turned cold. "Of course not. But now that Sophie is awake, I'll see her first."

"I'll take you there."

"No need. I drove."

In less than half an hour, Sharon arrived at the hospital. Seeing Sophie awake, she sighed in relief, her eyes tearing up.

Maria's face darkened when she saw Sharon. "Ms. Wright, you're not welcome here."

Sophie frowned. "Mom, what are you doing?"

Maria snorted. "If it weren't for celebrating her birthday, you wouldn't have gotten into trouble."

"That is irrelevant. If I had an accident on the way to a restaurant, should I blame the restaurant?"

"Anyway, I don't want you hanging out with her anymore."

"Who I hang out with is none of your business!"

"You!"

Maria's face turned red with anger, and she slammed a bowl on the table. "Fine, you're all grown up now and never listen to me anymore. I'm leaving!"

As Maria got up to leave, Sharon quickly said, "Aunt Maria, I just came to see if Sophie was really awake. You don't have to leave; I'll go now."

She looked at Sophie. "Sophie, I'll come see you another day."

"Sharon..."

Before Sophie could finish, Sharon turned and quickly walked out of the ward.

Sophie glared at Maria. "Happy now?"

Maria pouted. "I don't like her anyway. You should stay away from her."

Seeing it was pointless to argue, Sophie decided to ignore her.

Sharon had just walked out of the hospital when a black Cayenne sped straight at her. Just as it was about to hit her, it screeched to a stop, inches away.

The driver's door opened, and Alex got out with a cold expression. "What are you doing at the hospital?"

"Aren't you supposed to be back in three days? Why are you here today..."

Alex cut her off coldly. "I asked what you're doing at the hospital?"

Sharon frowned, her voice turning cold. "What's with that tone?"

"You don't get it? That night at my Uncle Seb's house, what did you two do? I haven't even asked you properly yet."

Seeing Alex's accusatory look, Sharon didn't want to explain. "Think whatever you want; you wouldn't believe me anyway."

Alex sneered. "I want to believe you, but you stayed out all night at a man's house who has intentions towards you. How do you expect me to believe you?"

"So, what do you want to do now?"

Alex grabbed Sharon's chin, forcing her to look at him. "Of course, I need to punish you so you'll listen in the future."

He grabbed her hand and pulled her into the car. "What are you doing? Let me go!"

Alex ignored her, locked the car, got into the driver's seat, and sped off. He drove quickly, reaching the villa in less than an hour.

"Get out."

"I'm not getting out. What do you want?"

Alex opened the car door and pulled her out. Sharon stumbled, twisting her ankle in her high heels, and cried out in pain.

Ignoring her, Alex dragged her into the villa and threw her onto the sofa. "Lock her in the basement, and don't give her any food without my permission!"
