Chapter 54 Is Alex not enough for you?

"What I do or don't do ain't your concern.," as Seb finished speaking, the entire office fell into silence.

The two stared at each other coldly, neither willing to back down.

Sensing the tension, Paul quickly stepped forward. "Mr. Alex, as soon as he found out about the photos online this morning, Mr. Seb has been dealing with it. Maybe you should head back for now."

Alex turned to Paul and said coldly, "Mr. Harris, you've been with Uncle Seb for a few years now. I hope you can persuade him when you have the chance to not..."

"Alex!" Seb interrupted him harshly, his eyes filled with brewing anger. "Say one more word, and you can forget about staying in your position as the general manager of the Smith Group."

Alex's hand clenched tightly at his side, feeling extremely aggrieved, but he didn't dare to really fall out with Seb. He knew that Seb truly had the power to remove him from that position.

He looked at Seb and said deliberately, "Uncle Seb, I hope you know what's best for you!"

With that, he turned and quickly walked away.

After leaving the Silvercrest Group building, Alex still felt a knot of anger in his chest that he needed to vent.

He took out his phone to call Sharon, but thinking she might not answer if she saw it was him, he decided to drive directly to find her.

Sharon had just finished breakfast and was changing her shoes, getting ready to leave for work.

As she opened the door, she saw Alex standing there with a cold expression.

She frowned. "What are you doing here..."

Before she could finish, Alex suddenly pushed the door open, grabbed her hand, and pressed her against the wall. "Sharon, I told you before to stay away from Uncle Seb, but it seems you didn't take my words to heart."

He pinned her down with one hand to prevent her from escaping, while his other hand moved slowly down her face, his eyes radiating danger.

Every time he thought of the photo of Seb gazing lovingly at her while she looked down, his jealousy and resentment felt like two demons screaming to break free from his restraint.

Alex's hand drifted down, nearing Sharon's delicate, fair neck - it looked as if a slight pressure could snap it

,

Noticing his gaze on her neck, as if contemplating whether to strangle her, she felt a shiver down her spine and goosebumps all over her body.

Alex was a complete lunatic!

Sharon pushed him away and gritted her teeth. "That photo was taken from a misleading angle. We were just talking."

"Really?" Alex didn't seem to mind being pushed away; he just smirked at her, "Sharon, you know I can't afford to provoke Uncle Seb, so you'd better behave and stay away from him, or I don't know what I might do to you."

His tone was gentle, but to Sharon, it sounded more like a threat.

She took a deep breath and stared at him. "Don't worry, I have no interest in him and will never fall in love with him."

She only wanted to gather evidence to divorce him and stay far away from the Smith family, hoping never to have any dealings with them again.

Alex stared into her eyes, as if weighing the truth of her words.

After a moment, he slowly smiled. "Sharon, I'll believe you this time, but if this happens again, I will definitely punish you."

He emphasized the word 'punish.'

Seeing Sharon's eyelashes tremble slightly, his eyes flashed with satisfaction.

She bit her lower lip and said coldly, "I need to go to work now. Can you leave?"

Noticing her cold attitude, Alex's eyes darkened. But he didn't want to push Sharon too hard, otherwise their relationship would become even more strained.

He said, "I'll drive you."

"No need." With that, Sharon pushed Alex out the door and left.

When she arrived at the office, she noticed her colleagues were all sneaking glances at her. She maintained a neutral expression; they had probably all seen the photo online.

After putting her things at her workstation, Sharon was about to head to the lab when Betty came over and whispered, "Sharon, is the photo online real? Does Mr. Smith really like you?"

Immediately, everyone around perked up their ears.

After all, everyone knew about the incident where Seb protected Sharon during the lab explosion.

And with the atmospheric photo on Instagram last night, everyone couldn't help but speculate about their relationship.

Seeing the curiosity in Betty's eyes, Sharon said calmly, "It's fake, just a matter of angle. Mr. Smith and I just ran into each other at the restaurant entrance and said hello."

Betty looked puzzled. But before she could say anything, Sharon took the lab report and walked towards the lab.

As she passed the restroom, she ran into Irene coming out.

Sharon feigned ignorance and kept walking, but Irene bit back with sarcasm, "Some people really have skills, playing with both the uncle and nephew of the Smith family. Truly impressive."

Irene had almost lost it when she saw the photo that morning.

That bitch Sharon knew Irene liked Seb, yet she couldn't wait to seduce him. It was utterly shameless.

Especially seeing the comments pairing Sharon and Seb, Irene was furious.

She wanted to reveal that Sharon's husband Alex was Seb's nephew, but no matter what, her comments wouldn't post.

And soon, all the photos and posts were deleted. Irene knew it had to be the Smith family who intervened.

Sharon turned her head and saw the barely concealed jealousy in Irene's eyes, her lips curling into a slight smile. "If you're so jealous, why don't you take a photo like that too? But I thought Mr. Smith wouldn't give you the chance."

Irene's face turned livid with anger, and she sneered, "I could never stoop to your level, messing around with other men while married. What, can't Alex satisfy you?"

Sharon raised an eyebrow. "So concerned about our marital affairs, why don't you install a camera in my house? That way, you can monitor us 24/7 and satisfy your curiosity."

Irene gritted her teeth. "Sharon, don't get too cocky. You'll slip up eventually."

"And I advise you, if you're feeling jealous, deal with it. Don't come to me with your tantrums." With that, Sharon couldn't be bothered with Irene anymore and walked away.

Irene glared at Sharon's back, her eyes filled with anger and disgust.

She took out her phone and dialed Eugene's number, saying coldly, "When are you going to make your move?"
