Chapter 475 Stop Daydreaming
Seeing Leo, Karen was initially in disbelief, then she sneered, "Well, you didn't want to see me, but as soon as I came to find Sharon, you rushed over. Is Sharon more important than your own mother?"
Leo couldn't be bothered to argue with her and directly dragged her into the car, instructing the driver to leave quickly.
If Karen stayed here any longer, who knows what kind of trouble she would cause.
In the car, Karen shook off Leo's hand and was about to push the door open when Leo's cold voice came from behind.
"At this speed, if you jump out, you'll either die or be paralyzed."
Karen's movements halted abruptly, and she turned to glare at him, "What exactly do you want? You don't want a good family, you insist on being with Sharon?"
"This is my business, it's not for you to interfere."
Karen sneered, "Not for me to interfere? Leo, do you think that divorcing Ayla will make Sharon be with you? I advise you to stop daydreaming. She didn't like you five years ago, and she won't like you now."
Leo's face turned ashen, his eyes filled with coldness as he stared at Karen, and the temperature in the car dropped sharply.
However, Karen wasn't afraid of him at all, "If you had any sense, you wouldn't have proposed a divorce. You had a good life, but you chose to make yourself miserable."
"What right do you have to talk about me? Aren't you the same? I advised you not to divorce Mr. Wright, but you sent him to a nursing home. Now that you're not doing well, you want to go back to him. Who's the one not thinking clearly?"
"You!" Karen pointed at him, her face flushed with anger, almost fainting. "Fine, I won't interfere in your affairs anymore, and you don't interfere in mine! We're cutting ties!"
"Suit yourself."
Leo's indifferent attitude made Karen even angrier, and she raised her hand and slapped him hard.
After the sound of the slap echoed, the car fell into silence.
Leo's face was stern, exuding a chilling and terrifying aura.
Karen's fingers tingled, and she regretted hitting Leo, but she couldn't bring herself to apologize, so she turned to look out the window, pretending nothing had happened.
After a while, the car stopped in front of a villa.
Karen realized it wasn't her home and turned to Leo, "Where is this?"
"Get out."
Leo opened the car door and walked directly into the villa.
Karen gritted her teeth, suppressing her dissatisfaction, and followed him out of the car.
She was his mother, but now Leo was the one in charge.
They sat in the living room, and Leo looked at Karen with a warning in his voice, "Don't go looking for Sharon again."
"If I don't go looking for her, will you see me?"
"If you dare to go looking for her again, I guarantee you'll never see me again."
Hearing this, Karen became furious and pointed at Leo, "Leo, don't think you can threaten me with this. Do you think I want to go looking for Sharon? If you weren't so insistent on getting a divorce, I wouldn't have caused a scene at Silvercrest Group. Do you think I don't care about my dignity?"
Leo's face was full of impatience, "Don't use the excuse of doing it for my good to hurt the person I love. I've been planning to divorce for a long time, and it has nothing to do with Sharon."
If Karen weren't his mother, he wouldn't have let her continue living in this world after what she said to Sharon today.
"Do you believe what you're saying?" Karen questioned.
If Sharon hadn't returned, Leo wouldn't have proposed a divorce to Ayla. It was all Sharon's fault.
If only Sharon had died when she fell into the sea five years ago!
Leo looked at Karen expressionlessly, "Whether you believe it or not doesn't matter to me. Just mind your own business and stop interfering in mine."
"Leo, do you really want to drive me to my grave?"
"I'm not trying to anger you, and I haven't done anything to hurt you. You're the one interfering in my affairs, and you're angry because I don't listen. You should reflect on whether you should be meddling in my life."
Seeing Leo's indifferent expression, Karen felt a wave of disappointment, "Leo, I worked hard to send you abroad to study, not for you to come back and anger me!"
"If you don't interfere in my affairs, you'll have fewer troubles."
"Fine! Since you're so determined, from now on, I'll consider you no longer my son. We're cutting ties!" With that, Karen stormed out with her bag.
After leaving the villa, she called Ayla. "I've tried to persuade him, but he won't listen. You'll have to figure it out yourself."
Hearing that Karen was giving up, Ayla said, "Mom, whether I divorce Leo or not isn't important, but Jerold is your grandson. Do you want to see your grandson grow up in a single-parent family?"
Of course, Karen didn't want that, but she couldn't control Leo.
"What can I do? You've been married to him for five years and can't control him. You should reflect on whether there's something wrong with you."
Ayla laughed angrily, "Mom, what right do you have to criticize me? You're Leo's mother. Isn't he the way he is because of your upbringing? I've only been with him for five years, but you've influenced him for over twenty years!"
"Anyway, I can't and won't interfere in your affairs anymore. You'll have to figure it out yourself." With that, Karen hung up the phone.
Ayla, furious, threw her phone. Neither mother nor son took her seriously, and she would make them regret it!
Taking a deep breath, Ayla decided to ignore Leo for now. She would deal with Garry first and get the inheritance before dealing with these two clowns!
In the president's office of Silvercrest Group, Seb, after learning that Karen had caused a scene, had Paul pull up the surveillance footage.
After watching it, his face was icy cold.
Paul stood nearby, too scared to speak.
"I remember Karen's husband runs a company that was spun off from the Bridges Group?"
"Yes."
"He can't even control his own wife, and you think he can manage a company?"
"Mr. Smith, I understand."
After Paul left, Seb was about to pick up a document when his phone rang.
Seeing it was Leo, he sneered and answered.
"Mr. Wendy, what's the matter?"
"Mr. Smith, I apologize for my mother's behavior at Silvercrest Group today. I was wondering if you and Sharon would have time for dinner tonight so I can make amends."
"Dinner isn't necessary. If you're truly sorry, you should bring your mother to apologize to Sharon."
