Chapter 98 This Woman Is No Good!
Sharon frowned. "Uncle Seb, I've told you a million times. If you keep thinking like that, there's nothing I can do."
Seb smiled, his cold eyes suddenly lighting up, making it hard for Sharon to look away.
"Sharon, is it really that hard to admit you like me?"
Sharon's heartbeat quickened under his gaze. She gripped the hem of her hospital gown, feeling like things were slipping out of control.
She pressed her lips together and finally spoke after a long pause. "Uncle Seb, I'm your niece-in-law. If people hear about this, do you know what will happen?"
"I can protect you."
Sharon chuckled softly. "Alex used to say the same thing, but he still cheated on me after we got married."
When a man wanted a woman, he'll say all the right things, but following through was a different story.
Seb's face darkened. "I'm not him."
Sharon shook her head, looking at him seriously. "What's different? You want me to admit I like you, and then what? Be with you in secret? How would I be any different from Alex?"
Seb had helped her a lot, especially when she was at her lowest. She couldn't deny she was moved.
But that didn't mean she'd abandon her principles and become someone she despised.
"I can help you divorce Alex."
Sharon looked at Seb, feeling he didn't understand her at all.
Of course, Seb was used to being above everyone else. With different experiences, he wouldn't understand Sharon.
"Uncle Seb, you're just infatuated with me. You've never treated me as your equal, or you wouldn't say such things so easily."
Seb's face looked terrible, and the temperature around him seemed to drop sharply.
"All I've done, you think it's just a momentary infatuation?"
At that moment, at the door of the hospital room, Clara stared in disbelief, her heart filled with shock and anger. Seb actually liked Sharon!

Clara had the urge to rush in and confront Sharon and Seb, but as her hand touched the doorknob, she thought of the consequences and shivered involuntarily.
If she fell out with Seb, he might scheme to remove Alex from his position as general manager of the Smith group.
Moreover, Seb had always been reckless and unrestrained, even Tyler and Sandra couldn't control him.
Thinking about this, Clara lost her initial courage, took a deep breath, and hurried away.
In the hospital room, Sharon looked at Seb with a calm expression.
"If it's not just a momentary infatuation, then let me ask you, if I divorce Alex, Uncle Seb, will you marry me?"
Seb frowned, his face stern and silent.
Marriage was something he had never considered.
Seeing Seb's silence, Sharon smiled. "Uncle Seb, I'm almost thirty. I'm not like an eighteen-year-old girl with plenty of time. If I divorce Alex, my next relationship will be aimed at marriage."
She wouldn't spend another eight years helping a man mature. With Seb's family background and pride, it was impossible for him to marry a divorced woman like her.
Besides, she had to deal with David.
There was no way for them to be together.
After Seb left, Sharon didn't feel like going for a walk. She played with her phone for a while and then fell asleep.
Clara thought for a long time after returning home and decided to call Alex to come back.
Alex questioned, "Mom, why did you call me back?"
He sat across from Clara, looking confused.
Clara took a deep breath. "Do you know about Sharon and your Uncle Seb?"
Seeing Alex's expression change, Clara gritted her teeth. "So you do know that shameless woman dared to cheat on you!"
Hearing Clara call Sharon shameless, Alex frowned. "Mom, it's not what you think. It has nothing to do with Sharon. It's Uncle Seb being self-indulgent."
Clara sneered. "Self-indulgent? Do you think I'm an idiot? If she didn't seduce Seb, would he even look at her?"
Alex's face darkened, and he looked at Clara coldly. "If you insult Sharon again, I'll leave right now."
Seeing Alex get up to leave, Clara shouted angrily, "Stop right there!"
Alex ignored her and continued walking out. Clara, furious, got up and blocked him at the door.
"You can't leave until we finish talking about this!"
Seeing Clara being unreasonable, Alex showed no expression. "What else do you want to say?"
"She cheated on you, and you're just going to let it go?"
"I told you, she doesn't like Uncle Seb. It's Uncle Seb who is harassing her."
Clara didn't believe a word Alex said. Seb could have any woman he wanted; he wouldn't have to like a married woman like Sharon.
"I don't care who's harassing whom. This can't just be brushed aside!"
Impatience flashed in Alex's eyes, and his tone turned icy. "What do you want to do? Uncle Seb knows Ava is pregnant with my child. Do you think making a scene will benefit me?"
Revealing Seb's feelings for Sharon would benefit no one. Maintaining the status quo was the best option.
Clara gritted her teeth. "Are you just going to let her have an affair with your Uncle Seb right under my nose?"
"Mom, I've told you, she doesn't like Uncle Seb. I won't let anything happen between them."
"Are you going to put a surveillance camera on Sharon?"
The thought of Sharon daring to seduce Seb made Clara furious. When Alex insisted on marrying Sharon against everyone's objections, she knew Sharon was trouble!
"This is my business, not yours."
Clara's face turned red with anger. She was trying to help Alex, and he responded to provoke her!
"Fine, fine, fine. I'll mind my own business. You're grown up now. I can't control you anymore. Do whatever you want. I won't care."
Alex said nothing and pushed the door open to leave.
As he reached the door, he ran into David. Alex, with a stern face, greeted him, "Dad."
David knew Alex had never liked him. He nodded and walked past Alex into the house.
As David opened the door, he saw Clara standing there, looking disappointedly in the direction of the door.
David said, "Why are you standing there?"
Seeing it was David, Clara's face turned ugly. She gritted her teeth. "What do you think? Your son has been cheated on. What do you think I'm doing?"
David's face darkened. "What's going on? Explain clearly!"
Clara exaggeratedly described what she heard at the hospital room door between Seb and Sharon. She ended with a sneer. "That shameless woman, letting her into the Smith family was the biggest mistake of my life!"
David was initially furious hearing Alex had been cheated on, but when he heard it was Seb, his expression changed.
He had been struggling to raise funds for the company recently. He had mentioned it to Seb, but Seb didn't seem inclined to help.
If Seb liked Sharon, this could be easily resolved.
All he had to do was get Sharon to Seb's bed. Then, not only would he get the funds, but Seb might even give him a branch company.
Seeing David remain silent, Clara angrily asked, "What are you going to do about this?"
