Chapter 244 He Plans to Pursue You Again

After folks found out Ava was a side chick, most of 'em were like, "She had it coming," but a few thought Sharon went overboard. Ava was on her knees at the community gate, begging Sharon to cut her some slack, but Sharon wasn't having it.

This whole drama blew up online, and Seb caught wind of it pretty quick.

He hit up Alex. "What's the deal with Ava?"

Alex smirked. "Didn't think you'd be in the loop so fast."

"Alex, Sharon's finally got some peace. I'm telling you, keep Ava away from her!"

Seb's tone was icy, but Alex just laughed, "Seb, right back at ya. Stay away from Sharon. I'm going after her again."

"Are you outta your mind?"

"You don't get it. Sharon and I are meant to be. If you stay out of it, we'll be back together in no time."

Seb's face was stone-cold. "You're dreaming. She won't give you another shot."

Seb thought, 'Nothing happened between me and Grace, and Sharon still wouldn't forgive me. No way she's taking Alex back after he cheated with Ava and married her.'

Alex was all cocky, "Don't sweat it. Just stay outta my way, or you'll regret it!"

"If you go near her, I'll make sure your company's projects hit a dead end."

Seb's voice was steady, but his words were firm.

Alex's face twisted in anger. Just as he was about to clap back, the call dropped.

He cursed and slammed his phone down, eyes blazing.

Joseph knocked and walked in. "Mr. Smith, someone snapped a pic of Ava kneeling at Ms. Wright's place and posted it. It's blowing up, and now everyone's digging into their past. Some even doxxed where Ms. Wright lives. There'll probably be a swarm of reporters soon."

Alex frowned, "Wipe Sharon's online presence clean ASAP. Get Ava outta there. We'll deal with this mess later."

Joseph nodded, "Got it, on it right now."

But when Joseph made the call, he found out Seb had already handled it.

Joseph quickly told Alex, whose face darkened.

"Looks like he wants to go head-to-head with me for Sharon!"

Joseph kept his head down, not daring to say a word. Seb was Alex's uncle, after all.

"Mr. Smith, what's the next move?"

"First, get Ava outta there. Don't let her show up at Sharon's place again. And clear out those reporters."

After Joseph left, Alex's phone rang.

Seeing Sharon's name, his eyes lit up, and he answered eagerly, "Sharon, why the sudden call? You..."

Sharon cut him off coldly, "Can you get Ava to leave? She's messing up my life."

If Sophie hadn't called her earlier, Sharon wouldn't have known Ava's kneeling act had gone viral.

Now, Sharon just wanted to focus on her studies.

Alex quickly said, "Sharon, the online mess is sorted, and Ava's leaving soon. Don't worry, I won't let this bother you."

"If possible, keep her and yourself outta my sight. You both make me sick."

"Sharon..."

Before Alex could finish, the call dropped.

When he tried calling back, he couldn't get through.

Sharon had clearly unblocked him just to make that call and then blocked him again.

Alex felt a mix of frustration and amusement. He thought, 'Sharon's still the same, throwing a fit when she's mad, but I kinda dig that about her.'

On the other side, Sharon put down her phone, her face full of annoyance.

She had finally sorted things out with Seb, and now Alex was buzzing around like an annoying fly, making her feel grossed out and irritated.

'Does Alex really think his recent stunts would win me over?' Taking a deep breath, Sharon pushed the thoughts away, picked up her pen, and got back to studying.

The next few days were chill. Sharon thought the drama was over, but as soon as she stepped out of her building, Alex popped up outta nowhere and blocked her path.

"Sharon, we need to talk."

Sharon looked up, her eyes cold. "What do you want?"

Her icy, disgusted stare made Alex's face twitch with emotion. He said softly, "Sharon, I'm sorry. I didn't appreciate you before. I know I messed up. Can you give me another shot? Let's start over. I swear, no more other women. It'll just be you, forever."

Alex sounded sincere.

Sharon couldn't help but laugh. "Alex, seriously? Now that you know you can't have kids, you regret it. But I want a child. Can you give me one?"

Her words hit Alex like a punch. His hand clenched at his side, his whole body tense, and his face went pale.

"If you can't have kids, then stop bothering me."

Sharon turned to leave, but Alex grabbed her wrist. "Sharon, is having a kid really that important to you?"

Alex's face looked hurt, like Sharon had wronged him.

Sharon shook off his hand and said, "How dare you throw this back at me? You were the one who made it a big deal! Why can you say it, but I can't? Besides, I do want to be a mom. If you can handle me having a kid with another guy, maybe I'll think about getting back with you."

After grabbing groceries from the supermarket, Alex was gone. Sharon didn't care and quickly walked back into the community to avoid him popping up again.

As soon as Sharon reached her building, she saw a familiar figure.

She frowned and walked up, her face indifferent. "Mr. Smith, how'd you get in here?"

Her community had good security and shouldn't let outsiders in.

"I have an apartment here."

Sharon's eyes widened for a second, but she quickly played it cool. With Seb's money, it wasn't shocking he had places everywhere.

"Don't tell me your apartment's in the same building as mine."

Seb smiled slightly, "No, it's not. I just saw the news about you and Ava online and wanted to check if you're okay."

"I'm fine, thanks for asking, Mr. Smith. It's getting late, so I won't invite you up. Goodbye."

As Sharon walked past Seb, his deep voice stopped her, "Sharon, Alex told me today that he's planning to go after you again."
