Chapter 513 Sorry, I Didn't Manage Jerold Well

Sharon frowned, "What are you getting at?"

Leo hesitated before finally saying, "On Friday, I left Demetrius in my office. During that time, the company's system had issues, and I..."

Sharon cut him off, her voice icy, "Leo, you can't seriously think Demetrius caused your system problems. He's just a five-year-old kid. Do you really believe he could hack into your company's system? That's absurd."

Leo fell silent, his expression grim. He knew his suspicion sounded ridiculous.

"I don't have time for this. Instead of blaming Demetrius, maybe you should check if your company's system has its own issues." With that, she brushed past Leo and left.

Leo stood there for a moment, watching Sharon's car disappear before he turned and walked away.

Meanwhile, at the kindergarten...

As Demetrius walked into the classroom, he noticed his classmates were giving him strange looks.

He ignored them, found his seat, and quietly took out his textbook to wait for the teacher.

The kids watched him for a bit before one of them finally spoke up, "Demetrius, my dad said your family went bankrupt. Is that true?"

Before Demetrius could answer, the other kids started chiming in.

"Yeah, I heard my parents talking about it last night. They said I shouldn't play with you anymore because your family is poor now."

"My mom said the same thing. She even said you'll have to transfer to a regular kindergarten because your family can't afford this private school anymore!"

Hearing the chatter, Demetrius frowned. He understood what bankruptcy meant.

Was that why his dad had been so upset over the weekend? Because his company went bankrupt and they had no money?

But if his dad had no money, he still had his own money. He could give it to his dad, and then they wouldn't be poor anymore, right?

Lost in his thoughts, Demetrius didn't notice the mocking and disdain from his classmates. Even if he had noticed, he wouldn't have cared. What others said didn't matter to him.

Even if he had to transfer to a regular kindergarten, he wouldn't mind.

Soon, Jerold walked into the classroom. Seeing Demetrius, a flash of resentment crossed his eyes.

On Friday evening, Leo had forcibly taken Demetrius into the car and told Jerold that he needed to get along with Demetrius because they would soon be brothers.

Jerold was very resistant. He hated Demetrius and his mom. He didn't want Demetrius's mom to become his mom!

He had thrown a tantrum in the car, crying for Leo to kick Demetrius out.

In a fit of anger, Leo had slapped him.

Later, Leo sent him to another house and had some people lock him in a room, telling him to think things over before letting him out.

Jerold's hatred for Demetrius grew. If it weren't for Demetrius and his mom, his parents wouldn't have divorced, and he wouldn't have been separated from Ayla.

After being locked up for two days over the weekend, Jerold had pretended to apologize to Leo, saying he would get along with Demetrius.

But deep down, he had made up his mind. He would never let Demetrius take his dad's love away from him!

Hearing his classmates talk about Demetrius's family going bankrupt, Jerold finally understood why Leo had said they would soon be a family.

It turned out Demetrius's dad had gone bankrupt, so his mom wanted to marry his dad.

Jerold walked over to Demetrius and shoved him, "Demetrius, I won't let your mom marry my dad! Your family went bankrupt, and now your mom wants to marry my dad and become my stepmom. I won't let that happen!"

Demetrius almost fell but steadied himself and glared coldly at Jerold.

Even though he was only five, his cold stare already had a hint of his father Seb's intimidating presence, which startled Jerold and made him take a step back.

Realizing his classmates were watching, Jerold forced himself to look at Demetrius, "Why are you glaring at me? I'm just telling the truth. Your mom is doing something shameless, and I can't talk about it?"

He would never let Demetrius's mom marry his dad!

"My mom would never marry your dad. She hates him the most."

Demetrius thought, 'Every time Mom sees Jerold's dad, she looks disgusted and doesn't want to talk to him. How could she possibly marry him?'

"You're lying! I hate your mom and you. I won't let your mom be with my dad!"

The two started arguing. When Jerold couldn't win the argument, he began to fight Demetrius. Soon, they were brawling.

Having fought before, Demetrius knew Jerold's weaknesses, and Jerold was no match for him.

Before long, Demetrius had Jerold pinned down, making him cry out in pain.

Some of the more timid kids ran to get the teacher.

The teacher hurried over to separate them and called their parents.

Sharon had just reached the villa but rushed back.

As she parked, she ran into Leo.

Sharon's face was icy as she ignored him and walked straight into the kindergarten.

They entered the office one after the other. Connie saw them and quickly said, "Ms. Roach, Mr. Wendy, you're finally here."

Seeing Sharon, Demetrius immediately ran into her arms, "Mom, Jerold said you want to marry his dad, so I fought with him."

As Demetrius finished speaking, the office fell silent for a moment.

Sharon held him and checked him over. Seeing no obvious injuries, she sighed in relief.

Jerold, on the other hand, had bruises all over his face and looked pitiful.

He wanted to run to Leo for comfort, but seeing Leo's cold gaze, he shrank back and didn't dare move.

"Dad..." He called out to Leo, his eyes filled with guilt and fear.

Leo looked at Connie and said, "Ms. Price, I'm sorry for not managing Jerold well and causing you trouble."

Connie was taken aback, feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Jerold was beaten up, and Leo didn't even ask about his injuries or what had happened. He just apologized on Jerold's behalf?

Even if Jerold was at fault, shouldn't he be given a chance to explain?

"Mr. Wendy, I called you here to help figure out what happened. This isn't the first time Jerold and Demetrius have fought. We need to discuss how to handle this."
