Chapter 349 I Won't Bother You Anymore

Sharon took a quick step back. "I can't take something this pricey," she said.

Zachary was caught off guard for a second, then he chuckled. "Whether it's pricey or not is for me to decide. This kind of money is nothing to me, and when I saw this jewelry, I knew it would look perfect on you."

"Maybe it's not a big deal to you, but it means a lot to me," Sharon said, looking serious.

Zachary met her eyes and frowned. "You're my girlfriend. Isn't it normal for me to give you jewelry?"

Sharon was about to say something when Sophie leaned in and whispered, "Sharon, everyone's watching. Do you really want to embarrass Zachary in front of all these people? Besides, this money is nothing to him. You can always get him something nice later. Just take it."

Sharon glanced around and noticed everyone was indeed watching them, some even whispering.

She looked back at Zachary. "Alright."

Zachary smiled and stepped forward to put the sapphire necklace on her, and the crowd burst into applause.

"Haha, no wonder Mr. Cook kept bidding higher for this jewelry. Turns out it was for her," someone in the crowd said.

"Mr. Cook is so romantic. I'd be over the moon if a guy gave me such beautiful jewelry in public!" another person added.

"I'm so jealous of Sharon. I love that set of jewelry too!" a third person exclaimed.

Seb walked back into the hall just in time to see Zachary putting the necklace on Sharon, and his eyes darkened. Sharon's gentle smile and the way she looked at Zachary hit him hard.

Seb's hand clenched at his side, and a wave of frustration surged through him. After getting his memory back, Seb had decided to let Sharon be with Zachary, but he couldn't stand seeing them together at all. He was determined to win Sharon back!

Despite everything that had happened, Seb still had no advantage, and Sharon wouldn't look back. But he had Demetrius, and if he could get Demetrius to help him, his chances of winning Sharon back would go up.

With that thought, Seb's eyes darkened, and he turned and left.

Zachary and Sharon didn't notice Seb nearby. Zachary looked at the necklace on Sharon's neck and said softly, "It's beautiful and suits you perfectly."

"Thank you. I really like it," Sharon replied.

"As long as you like it. Let me take you home," Zachary offered.

"Okay, but I still need to pick up Demetrius," Sharon said, suddenly realizing she hadn't seen Seb since earlier. But if she suggested giving Seb a ride, Zachary would definitely be upset. Besides, there were plenty of people who would be happy to give Seb a ride.

"I'll go with you to pick him up," Zachary said.

Sharon turned to Sophie. "Sophie, we're heading out."

"Alright, I'll catch up with you in a few days," Sophie replied.

Watching Zachary and Sharon leave, Sophie smiled. If Sharon ended up with Zachary, it would be a good match. Zachary had a great personality and liked Sharon. He would definitely treat Sharon and Demetrius well.

Sophie was about to leave when a tall figure suddenly appeared in front of her. Randy looked at her and smiled, "I'll take you home."

Sophie's smile vanished, and she walked past him with a blank expression. Just as she reached the door, Randy blocked her way.

"Sophie, are you dodging me?" Randy asked.

Sophie rolled her eyes. "Mr. Smith, we're not close. Call me Ms. Lee. I'm not dodging you; I just don't want to deal with you."

"Why? Is it because I'm too handsome and you're scared you'll fall for me?" Randy teased.

"You're way too full of yourself!" Sophie shot back.

"Seriously, I've been chasing you for five years. What exactly don't you like about me? Tell me, and I'll change!" Randy said, looking earnest.

Sophie met Randy's serious gaze, her heart skipping a beat, and she quickly looked away. "Then you tell me, what do you like about me? I'll change that too!"

"I like that you don't like me," Randy replied.

Sophie raised an eyebrow. "That's tough to change. You should find something else to like."

"I can't. From the moment I saw you, I knew I liked you. You have to give me an answer, or I won't give up," Randy insisted.

The stubbornness in his eyes made Sophie feel helpless, and she frowned. "Randy, we're not right for each other. Even if you follow me for another five years, I won't be with you. Besides, there are plenty of people who like you. You should find someone else."

Randy's gaze turned cold. "How do you know we're not right if you haven't tried? And you haven't dated anyone in the past five years. Why won't you give me a chance?"

"I haven't dated anyone because I wasn't interested. My family has already set up blind dates for me," Sophie said.

As her words hung in the air, the atmosphere between them grew tense.

Randy's expression tightened, and his eyes filled with anger. "Fine! You'd rather go on blind dates than give me a chance. I get it. Don't worry, I won't bother you anymore."

With that, he turned and stormed off, his back radiating fury. Watching him leave, Sophie pressed her lips together and slowly walked out. They were never right for each other, so what she did was for the best. As for those fleeting moments of affection, she would simply pretend they had never occurred.

Randy got back in his car, stomped on the gas, and sped away.

'It's just like they say,' he thought angrily. 'the prettier the woman, the colder her heart. Now I've seen it for myself!'

Suddenly, a cold voice came from the back seat. "Slow down, I don't want to die in your car," Seb said.

Randy was startled, and the car swerved to the side. If it weren't for his good driving skills and the fact that there were few cars on the road, there would have been an accident. After calming down, Randy looked at Seb through the rearview mirror and spoke with lingering fear, "Uncle Seb, why are you in my car?"

"My cars are in for maintenance," Seb replied.

Randy fell silent. So he was supposed to be the driver and take Seb home? Randy was about to turn the car around when an idea flashed through his mind. "Uncle Seb, how about we go for a drink?"

Seb glanced at him. "Heartbroken?"

Randy's face stiffened, and he gritted his teeth. "I haven't even been in a relationship. How can I be heartbroken? By the way, if you know any suitable girls, let me know. I want to go on blind dates."

If Sophie could go on blind dates, why couldn't he? Not only would he go on blind dates, but he would also go on three dates a day, surpassing Sophie in numbers.

Seb's expression was understanding. "Rejected by Sophie again?"

"Can we not talk about her? I don't like her anymore. I've made up my mind," Randy said.

"Okay," Seb replied.

Seeing Seb's indifferent reaction, Randy couldn't help but frown. "Uncle Seb, I'm serious this time. Introduce me to some girls, and I promise to meet them."

"You've said that at least ten times already, haven't you?" Seb retorted.
