Chapter 48 Don't Trouble Others

Sharon was stunned for a few seconds, feeling an indescribable warmth in her heart.

After getting up and washing, she took her medicine and food, then decided to go and properly thank Seb.

After all, she had been holding his hand all night, and he probably didn't get much rest.

As she reached the door of the next room and was about to knock, the door opened from the inside.

Seb's hair was slightly damp, and he had already changed into a new set of clothes, indicating he had just taken a shower.

Sharon said, "Mr. Smith, I came over to thank you for last night. Thank you."

Seb saw her eyes lowered, her hands awkwardly clasped in front of her, clearly a bit nervous.

She seemed to be afraid of him.

Upon reaching this conclusion, Seb's mood soured inexplicably and his lips tightened."No need, I just hope that next time if you're not feeling well, you say it earlier and don't trouble others."

His indifferent tone made Sharon feel even more ashamed.

She nodded. "I understand."

Seb said, "Alright, get ready. We leave for BioGenX Pharmaceuticals at eight sharp."

Back in her room, Sharon felt a bit down.

Last night's incident probably made Seb quite unhappy with her.

Upon blaming it all on Alex, Sharon's mood darkened. She resolved not to let him influence her emotions anymore.

Around nine o'clock, the group arrived at BioGenX Pharmaceuticals.

They were greeted again by Benjamin, who took them to see the herb cleaning and processing workshop and the production workshop, then led them to the lab testing room.

"Ms. Wright, which herb would you like to test?" Benjamin asked.

Looking at the herbs on the tray held by the BioGenX Pharmaceuticals staff, Sharon couldn't help but frown slightly but still picked one out. "Let's test this one."

Benjamin smiled and said, "Alright."

Sharon ground and filtered the herb, set up the lab equipment, and began extracting the active ingredients.

Every step she took was methodical and standard, and with her good looks, her actions were quite pleasing to the eye.

For a moment, Seb's gaze unconsciously fell on her.

Sharon, seriously conducting the experiment, looked more beautiful than usual, with an almost fatal attraction that made it impossible not to notice her.

After extracting the active ingredient, she weighed it on the balance scale.

It was 0.00013 pounds.

With the herb's original weight being 0.007055 pounds, the active ingredient percentage was 1.875%, which was quite high.

When Sharon told Seb the result, Benjamin, standing nearby, sighed in relief and smiled at Seb. "Mr. Smith, from cultivation to harvest, every step of our herb production is strictly executed according to standards. That's why the active ingredient percentage is so high. Choosing to cooperate with us, you won't regret it."

Seb said, "The active ingredient percentage is indeed good, and the herb quality is excellent."

"So, how about the cooperation?"

"No rush . After all, the Silvercrest Group's demand is quite large, and I need to consider comprehensively."

Benjamin nodded repeatedly. "Of course, Mr. Smith, take your time. How about having lunch at our company's cafeteria today?"

Seb said, "Alright."

Benjamin showed them around a bit more, and after lunch, sent them back.

Back at the hotel, Seb looked at Sharon and said, "What do you think about the active ingredient percentage today?"

Sharon said, "If all their herbs are of this quality, cooperating with them would be a sure win. However, producing such high-quality herbs requires very high growth conditions, making large-scale production difficult."

Seb said, "Yes, we have some free time this afternoon. Let's visit the nearby herb production base."

Sharon bit her lip and said, "It's clear that they really want to secure this cooperation. They might send someone to follow us. If they know our plan , they might prepare in advance."

In that case, even if they went to the herb base, they wouldn't know the real quality of the herbs.

Paul, standing nearby, smiled and said, "Ms. Wright, don't worry. We have ways to evade their' people."

Knowing they had a plan, Sharon nodded and said no more.

Around two in the afternoon, the car Paul arranged arrived at the hotel entrance.

Shortly after getting in the car, the driver looked in the rearview mirror and said, "We're being followed."

Paul remained calm. "Ignore them."

Shaking off the tail would only tip off BioGenX Pharmaceuticals.

Feigning ignorance and letting BioGenX's team believe they knew their location would foster a false sense of security.

Pretending not to know and letting BioGenX Pharmaceuticals' people think they know their whereabouts would lull them into a false sense of security.

In less than half an hour, the car stopped at the entrance of the most bustling mall in local .

The group got out and walked into the mall, with BioGenX ' people naturally following them inside.

Seb had a clear goal and went straight to a clothing store on the third floor.

This store only allowed members inside, so the followers could only observe from near the entrance.

Inside, the sales clerk led them to the fitting rooms. "Mr. Smith, the clothes are ready. After changing, you can leave directly through the back door."

After changing clothes, the sales clerk handed their original clothes to another group of two men and one woman, who changed into them and sat on the store's couch with their backs to the door.

The followers, initially worried when they couldn't see them, relaxed upon seeing their figures.

Meanwhile, Seb and the group exited through the back door, took the elevator to the basement level, where another car was waiting for them.

After getting in, Sharon couldn't help but say, "We can't stay in one store all afternoon; they'll get suspicious."

Paul smiled. "Ms. Wright, don't worry. We won't be exposed."

The decoys would continue shopping in the mall and then move to the mall across the street, taking three to four hours. That would give them enough time to visit the herb base and return.

The car headed out of the city, and in a little over half an hour, it stopped at the entrance of the Maple Valley Herb Base.

They got out and walked in, with herb fields lining both sides of the road, the air filled with a faint herbal fragrance.

Soon, a person in charge came over to introduce the various herbs' growth and usage. "Mr. Smith, the lavendera you need is over there. Let me show you."

Seb followed him, asking nonchalantly, "Are all the herbs from domestic herb company sourced from here?"

The man nodded. "Yes, major companies like MedixPro Pharmaceuticals and BioGenX Pharmaceuticals all source from here."

Seb said no more until they reached thelavender area.

The man said, "The lavender is just blooming and still growing. Let me show you the dried finished products."

Entering the drying room, the herbal fragrance was much stronger.

Sharon, looking at the various herbs, was curious. She had only seen these herbs in the lab, and this was her first time seeing so many in one place.

Being too focused, she didn't notice a slope under her foot and suddenly slipped.

Seb said, "Be careful."

With his cold voice in her ear, Sharon fell into a warm embrace.
