Chapter 611 Lifelong Happiness Is in Your Hands
"I feel the same way, Mr. Smith. I never thought my son would do something so harmful to his classmates. If it means making amends with Mr. Roach, I wouldn't hesitate to have my son kneel and apologize right now!"
"Mr. Smith, it's my fault for not raising my child properly. I apologize to you first. I'm sorry."
A group of parents, around the same age as Seb, some even older, bowed their heads and apologized to Seb. But Seb just looked at them coldly, his face devoid of any warmth.
Sharon nonchalantly played with Demetrius, not even glancing in their direction.
Demetrius, aside from his initial surprise, quietly played with his blocks, as if he hadn't heard their apologies.
The children who had previously bullied Demetrius were now terrified, seeing their usually stern parents fawning over Seb. They began to realize the gravity of the situation.
Finally, Seb looked up at them.
"Don't misunderstand. Silvercrest Group terminated the contracts with your companies because we noticed you were too busy to manage both work and home. We were just trying to lighten your load, with no intention of personal revenge."
When the contracts were terminated, Paul explicitly said they would never work with them again. Moreover, he would inform other companies never to use their products. If any company was found secretly using their products and working with Silvercrest Group, Silvercrest would terminate their cooperation with that company too.
Wasn't this clearly an attempt to bankrupt them?
The parents, realizing they had no choice but to apologize, immediately called their children over, scolded them, and brought them to apologize to Demetrius.
Despite their anger, they all maintained forced smiles.
"Yes, Mr. Smith, you're right. From now on, I'll manage both my company and my home better, ensuring this never happens again!"
"Yes, my son was already punished at home before coming here. If I find out he bullies his classmates again, he'll be punished every time!"
"Mr. Smith, we truly understand our mistakes. We've disciplined our children. Please, give us another chance!"
Seb smirked. "You're exaggerating. I don't have the power to push anyone to the brink."
"Yes, Mr. Smith, but business is tough right now. Silvercrest Group is our biggest client. If you stop working with us, my company will go under in less than a month. Please, have mercy on us and don't terminate our contracts."
As one parent spoke, the others chimed in, pleading with Seb not to ruin them.
Seb glanced at the terrified children clinging to their parents and decided it was enough. "This time, we'll let it go. But if it happens again, you'll have to face the consequences."
"Yes, yes! Thank you, Mr. Smith!"
The parents thanked him profusely and dragged their children over to apologize to Demetrius.
The children, already trembling, cried as they apologized.
Demetrius looked at their tear-streaked faces, a hint of disdain in his eyes.
Suppressing his disgust, he said, "It's okay. We're all classmates. We should help and love each other. I forgive you."
Hearing Demetrius forgive them, both the children and their parents sighed in relief.
Some parents even praised Demetrius's good nature, telling their children to learn from him.
After another ten minutes of awkwardness, everyone finally left.
The living room quickly returned to its usual quiet.
"Sharon, are you satisfied with how this was handled?"
Sharon glanced at Seb. "You should ask Demetrius. If he's satisfied, then so am I."
Demetrius looked up at Seb and smiled. "Thank you, Dad. I'm very satisfied with this outcome."
"As long as you're happy. If anyone at school bullies you again, tell Mom and Dad immediately. We'll handle it, okay?"
Demetrius nodded. "Okay, I will."
This time, he had deliberately shown his unhappiness in front of Seb and Sharon, making them aware of the bullying.
Thinking about it, Demetrius felt a bit mischievous.
But if they hadn't bullied him first, he wouldn't have done this to them.
With Demetrius's issue resolved, Seb turned his attention to planning his and Sharon's wedding.
He had it all figured out. In half a month, the weather would be warm, and Sharon's belly wouldn't be showing yet. They'd have the wedding then, with Demetrius as the ring bearer.
Monday came quickly, and Seb was busy again.
Initially, he planned to have the wedding on Sunrise Island, but considering Sharon's pregnancy and the long flight, as well as Robert's health, he decided to hold it at the largest hotel in Metropolis.
He booked the entire hotel half a month in advance and worked with the wedding planner to finalize the details.
Time flew by, and soon it was the day before the wedding.
As soon as he left the house, Seb headed to the hotel.
The wedding venue was almost ready, with final touches being made.
When Seb stepped into the hotel lobby, the wedding planner, Gabriella Jade, was directing staff to arrange the rose garden.
Since the flowers were fresh, they could only be set up the day before to ensure they were perfect for the wedding.
Seeing Seb, Gabriella quickly approached. "Mr. Smith, you're here."
"How long until everything is ready?"
Gabriella checked her notes. "We've arranged about a third of the roses. If all goes well, we should be done by six tonight, no later than ten."
"Good, thank you."
Gabriella was flattered. "It's my pleasure, Mr. Smith."
Seb walked through the lobby to the second-floor dressing room. In the center hung a strapless wedding dress adorned with 9,999 diamonds, sparkling like the galaxy under the lights.
Seb could already imagine how beautiful Sharon would look in it.
After ensuring everything was in order, Seb left for work.
In the afternoon, he called Sophie, asking her to bring Sharon to the wedding venue the next day.
After hearing Seb's plan, Sophie couldn't help but marvel. "Mr. Smith, I used to think you were a boring, rigid man. Today, I realize I judged you too quickly."
Seb's ability to create surprises far surpassed Randy's. Randy only knew how to send flowers and gifts daily, never creating surprises like Seb.
She could always guess what Randy would send, leaving no room for surprise or emotion. So boring.
"Ms. Lee, thank you. I'll do my best."
After hanging up, Sophie tidied her desk, grabbed her bag, and left the office.
As soon as she stepped outside, she saw Randy waiting nearby.
Sophie rolled her eyes and pretended not to see him.
Randy quickly caught up. "Sophie, I've been waiting for you for half a month. Can't you give me a chance to have dinner together?"
Sophie glanced at him. "Randy, if you don't know how to pursue a girl, ask Seb. I have urgent matters and no time to waste."
Without another look, she got in her car and drove off.
Randy stood silently.
Watching her car disappear, he took out his phone and called Seb.
"Uncle Seb, what have you been up to? Why did Sophie tell me to ask you how to pursue a girl?"
Half an hour later, Sophie's car arrived at Seb's villa.
She got out and rang the doorbell.
Seeing Sophie, Sharon was surprised. "I thought you were busy. How do you have time to visit?"
"I have something to discuss. I need you to accompany me to an event."
Sharon laughed. "What kind of event needs my company?"
"A business event. But my dad has lined up several potential suitors for me. I need your help to see if any are suitable."
Sharon frowned. "But it's a business event. Seb hasn't let me go out recently. If he finds out, he'll be mad."
Lately, Seb had been overly protective, not letting Sharon leave the house unless he was home, fearing she might fall or get hurt.
Sharon, initially not worried, had become cautious due to Seb's behavior.
"He won't be there. I heard he's traveling tomorrow. If you're worried, I'll hire eight bodyguards to protect you."
Sharon couldn't help but laugh. "I'm not an endangered species. But I haven't been out in a while. I'll ask Seb tonight. If he's really traveling, I'll sneak out with you."
"Deal! You can't back out. My future happiness depends on you!"
Seeing Sophie's serious expression, Sharon couldn't help but laugh.
"Okay, I got it."
