Chapter 161 Do You Love Her?

Seb looked at her blankly. "Grace, you never used to pull these sneaky moves."

Grace's hand froze, then she pulled it back. "You never used to turn me down."

"I told you, I have a girlfriend."

Grace looked up. "Do you love her?"

Seb stayed silent, and Grace felt a bit more confident.

"If you loved her, you'd say it without hesitation."

Seb frowned. "Grace, I didn't say it because I don't want to hurt you."

Grace's smile faded. "It doesn't matter if you love her or not. You'll fall for me again."

Seb wanted to dismiss her, but seeing her sad face, he held back.

"Let's go."

He turned and walked toward the hospital entrance.

Grace tried to walk close to him, but Seb stepped back.

"Grace, I agreed to help you, but keep your distance."

Seb's face was cold, no trace of their past.

Grace looked bitter. "Can't I even be close to you anymore?"

Seb didn't answer, just looked distant.

Grace finally smiled bitterly. "Okay, I get it."

After dropping Grace off, Seb drove to the office.

On the top floor, Paul approached him cautiously. "Sir, Mr. Tyler is in your office."

Seb's eyes darkened. "I know."

He walked in, and there was Tyler on the sofa.

Tyler snorted. "Are you really cutting ties with us?"

Seb sat down calmly. "You wanted to break things off, not me."

"Bastard, I was just angry!"

Seb looked at him. "Why are you here?"

Tyler took a deep breath, softening his tone. "David made mistakes, but he's still your brother. Are you just going to stand by?"

"You know I'm with Sharon now. I didn't help her to go after David."

Tyler's face turned red with anger. "Are you abandoning your family for Sharon?!"

"Sharon might be my wife. She'll be family too."

"Are you out of your mind? Marry her, and everyone in Metropolis will laugh at us!"

"I don't care what others think. I won't change my mind."

Tyler pointed at Seb, too angry to speak. "You're hopeless!"

Tyler stormed out, fuming.

Since he couldn't get through to Seb, he decided to find Sharon.

Sharon was surprised to see Tyler.

After their last meeting went south, she didn't expect to see him again.

"Tyler, what brings you here?"

Seeing Sharon's calm demeanor, Tyler frowned and said arrogantly, "Name your price. Just let David go."

Sharon looked at him coolly. "How much are you offering?"

"Depends on what you want. That incident was ages ago. Even if you send David to prison, I can get him out. Being stubborn won't help you."

Sharon stood up, her tone flat. "If that's how you see it, there's no point in continuing this."

Tyler's face hardened. "What do you mean?"

"Just that we can't agree. I have work to do, so I'm leaving."

She turned and walked away.

Tyler watched her go, seething with anger.

Since Sharon didn't take his offer, he decided not to hold back.

Tyler called his subordinate, gritting his teeth. "Investigate Robert Pharmaceuticals. I bet Robert's done something shady!"

Back at the lab, Ashley noticed Sharon's pale face. "Sharon, are you okay? Did something happen?"

Sharon shook her head. "I'm fine. Let's get back to work."

That evening, Sharon got a call from Leo.

"Free tonight? Want to grab dinner?"

Sharon was surprised. After a pause, she said, "Sure, where are you? I'll book the restaurant."

Leo, unfamiliar with Metropolis after years abroad, let Sharon handle the booking.

After hanging up, Sharon booked a restaurant and wondered why Leo had returned. He had better opportunities abroad.

Not finding an answer, she let it go.

After work, Sharon was about to leave when she got a text from Seb.

Seb: [Hey, wait for me to head home together, okay?]

Sharon stared at the text for a bit.

Sharon replied: [Sry, hv a dinner appt.]

Seb quickly called. "Who are you meeting?"

"A friend."

Seb frowned. Sharon's closest friend in Metropolis was Sophie, and she would have mentioned her by name. It was likely a man.

"What time will you be done? I'll pick you up."

"No need, you get on with your work. I'm running late, bye."

Listening to the busy tone, Seb's eyes darkened.

Seb thought, 'Does Sharon know I saw Grace that night? If she knew, why didn't she ask?'

He picked up the internal phone. "Find out where Sharon is having dinner tonight and with whom."

After leaving the company, Sharon drove to the restaurant.

At the entrance, a cool voice called out. "Sharon."

She turned and was momentarily stunned to see Leo.

Leo had changed a lot from the skinny teenager he used to be. Now tall and thin, he had a steady demeanor. His hair was neatly combed, and his gold-rimmed glasses added a touch of coolness. Dressed in a black suit, he looked every bit the elite professional.
