Chapter 119 Shameless to the Extreme!

Sharon gave a bitter smile. She'd always tried to keep her marriage looking perfect in front of Robert. Only now did she realize how foolish that was.

"Dad, I chose this path, and I can handle the consequences."

When Sharon married Alex, Robert had warned her that the Wright family was bankrupt and life with the Smiths wouldn't be easy.

She'd thought love would conquer all. Now, she saw how naive she'd been.

Robert sighed, "Sharon, don't worry about me. If you can't stay with him, I'll support whatever you decide."

Sharon's eyes welled up with tears.

"Dad, I know. Just focus on your health."

Robert wanted to mention his discharge plans but held back, seeing her red eyes. He'd wait to tell her.

After a while in the ward, Karen walked Sharon out.

At the hospital entrance, Karen said, "Sharon, I know it's tough with Alex, but if you're thinking about divorce, please wait until your dad's kidney transplant is done. Do it for me."

Karen's plea made Sharon's heart sink.

She hesitated, then decided to tell Karen the truth.

"Aunt Karen, the kidney we found earlier, Alex gave it to someone else."

Karen's eyes widened in disbelief, and she stepped back, trembling.

"What did you say?"

"Aunt Karen, I'll find another kidney for my dad, but it might take some time."

Karen didn't speak, her face dark with anger.

She'd waited years for that kidney, and now Sharon said Alex gave it away. Anyone would be upset.

After a long silence, Karen turned and walked back to the inpatient department.

Her steps were shaky, and Sharon quickly moved to support her. "Aunt Karen, I'll find a way to get a kidney."

Karen pushed her away. "Find a way? How? Alex's people took over two years to find that kidney. How long will it take you? Your dad can't wait!"

Karen's eyes were filled with anger and despair, like someone who'd seen a glimmer of hope only to have it snatched away.

Seeing Karen so upset, Sharon pressed her lips together. "Aunt Karen, I know this is hard to accept. Let's talk when you've calmed down."

"Sharon, did you have anything to do with Alex giving the kidney to someone else?"

Karen's look was accusatory. Alex had promised the kidney to Robert. Why the sudden change?

Sharon clenched her fists. After a moment, she said, "Yes."

"I knew it."

Karen said nothing more and walked away.

Sharon didn't follow. She knew Karen blamed her.

She understood Karen's feelings but didn't think it was her fault. The one to blame was Alex.

After watching Karen disappear into the inpatient department, Sharon turned and left.

Late at night, in the president's office of Silvercrest Group.

Paul handed a document to Seb, looking hesitant. "Mr. Smith, are you sure you want to give this evidence to Ms. Wright?"

The document had proof of David and Ted's plot to bankrupt Robert Pharmaceuticals. If Sharon got it, David could end up in prison.

Despite everything, David was still Seb's brother.

Seb took the document, looking indifferent. "I know what I'm doing. You can go now."

Paul wanted to argue but saw Seb's cold expression and left.

Once alone, Seb read the document before locking it in the bottom drawer.

Giving this to Sharon could lead to her divorcing Alex, but it would also likely send David to prison.

After some thought, Seb called Paul back and gave him some quiet instructions.

Early the next morning, Sharon got a call from Sophie.

"Sharon, check the trending news!"

Sharon opened her phone to see photos of Alex and Ava kissing going viral. She was shocked.

Before she could process it, Alex called.

"I'm at your door. Open up."

Alex's voice was cold, and Sharon felt a sense of dread.

"What are you doing here? You don't think I posted those photos, do you?"

There was silence for a few seconds before Alex spoke again.

"Grandpa and Grandma know. They want us at the Smith mansion."

"Got it. Give me five minutes."

Sharon quickly got ready and opened the door to find Alex looking exhausted.

"Let's go."

While waiting for the elevator, Alex asked, "Are you sure you had nothing to do with this?"

Sharon glared at him. "If you think I did it, show me proof. If not, shut up."

Ever since she found out Alex gave the kidney to Ava's father, she couldn't stand him and wished he'd disappear. She didn't want to pretend anymore.

Alex took a deep breath, trying to stay calm.

"Sharon, I'm just asking. I need your cooperation with Grandpa and Grandma."

Sharon's expression was icy. "Why should I help you lie about not cheating? Do you think they're fools?"

Once the photos of Alex and Ava were online, his affair couldn't be hidden.

Given Alex's status, if a reporter had taken those photos, they'd usually negotiate a price rather than expose them directly.

Thinking about how she told Seb she wanted a divorce yesterday, Sharon suspected Seb might be behind the photos.

But with Alex beside her, she couldn't verify it.

"Sharon, don't forget about Dad's kidney..."

Sharon cut him off with a cold laugh. "Alex, you always use the kidney to threaten me. Do you think I'm that easy to fool?"

Alex's eyes showed a hint of guilt, and he said coldly, "When did I ever lie to you?"

"You already gave the kidney to Ava's father. And you think you can still use it to manipulate me? You are really shameless!"
